Dark of the Moon

One night, John woke up suddenly to a top on the window. Outside his home was Zero, along with a heavily injured Ironhide.

John became solemn after seeing the rust on Ironhide's chest. Vivianne was still asleep at this time. He quickly jumped into an Ironman suit and flew off, leading Zero and Ironhide towards his main laboratory.

Quickly, getting some Transformium, John attempted to slow the spread of cosmic rust as the tank was getting ready.

"Get in," John told Ironhide, pointing towards a large reinforced glass tank.

Zero helped Ironhide into the tank and closed the door.

A mix of Energon and radiation to remove the rust. There are also other devices to keep Ironhide safe in sleep mode and send sonic electromagnetic waves to stabilize the spread of cosmic rust. After Ironhide's situation has stabilized, John looked at Zero and asked, "What happened?"

The following day, Autobots were exiled from Earth and the army of Decepticons reached all over the world.

Many countries were unknowingly infiltrated by Decepticons. It was easier for Decepticons to invade due to the fact that no country wanted to spend too much money and resources on making Energon detectors. Most of the activities involving Cybertronians were involved in the Middle East, North, and South America.

However, it still took time for Decepticons to invade as they needed to cross the oceans. Because John was notified by Zero, Arcania's borders were quickly shut down and Advanced Energon Detectors worked overtime with the military ready to mobilize.

Before long, news got out to every World Country watching America that Chicago had fallen. Everyone was waiting and watching the situation. To them, the situation was far away from them. No one wanted to waste resources for a possible false alarm and wanted to take advantage. After all, America had its own transformers to help them fight and they had an entire military unit dedicated to fighting them.

As soon as John heard the news, the giant war machine of Arcania began moving. This caused the other countries to move their sight away from America and towards Arcania. Compared to America, Arcania is a much bigger threat and is closer to them. No one wished to be the target of Arcania.

Every countries military was put on high alert, ready to fight against Arcania at the moment's notice. However, because they were focused on Arcania, no one noticed a large amount of Decepticons entering their countries and taking over key locations.

Before long, every communication leading in and out of Chicago was cut off. No one could get in or out. The defense and sensors of the Decepticons were too strong. No matter what the American military did, they failed with a large number of casualties. This was just as bad if not worse than the Battle of Egypt over a decade ago. At least, the numbers of Decepticons were lower and the battle was winnable with the help of the Autobots. However, this time, not only are there no Autobots to help them, NEST had been disbanded, and Nirvana became their competitors on the international level as Arcania. There was also an entire army of Decepticons.

You should know that the Decepticons were all elites and battle-hardened warriors that even the Autobots couldn't stop at their peak. Everything was incredibly bleak for humanity. Even John knows that this battle would be a hard battle to win even if their technology is much more advanced.

However, Arcania can't technically move to fight the Decepticons due to the stupid political wars over territory. No matter how much America needed help, their pride wouldn't allow another country to set their troops on American soil. Not that Arcania needed their permission but when everyone is watching all over the world for their movements, a hasty move like this would put everyone against Arcania. This would push the urgency of Humanity's survival to a full-blown conflict between humans.

So, John can only sneak in a few teams at best along with Zero and Ironhide into Chicago.

"All teams, get ready to move" John ordered as he got into Zero, fully decked out in gear.

"Zero, connect to the parliament and military network of Arcania"

"Senators, connect with as many governments as possible to warn them of the Decepticons"

John gave out orders rapidly

Within an hour the group made their way to America, relying on Sublight thrusters on their assault crafts. Cargo planes followed right after them.

Within minutes, every unit got into a pressurized cabin and proceeded to initiate drop into target locations all around Chicago.

Boom

The battle for Chicago was started quickly. Moments after their drop pods landed on the ground with a boom. Entire assault squads began launching their attacks everywhere. Tanks and all sorts of military equipment dropped down right after.

The initial battles between the Decepticons and the Arcanian Vanguard started off in Arcania's favor. However, as time passed on, Arcaniashowed signs of weakness and was slowly being pushed back. No matter how good they were, they were still humans, unlike the Decepticons who were machines. Casualties started to appear quickly. Pilots had to work in groups in order to not be attacked from behind and be outnumbered. A good portion of Chicago became a giant battlefield as teams and groups of the Arcanian Vanguard met up and joined forces.

Entire buildings were destroyed in the process. Fires everywhere. Lives were lost as people were stuck in those buildings that collapsed. Despite Arcania wanting to help them, they were helplessly outgunned and had to slowly retreat. It was a bad day.

However, John managed to meet up with the rest of the Autobots and NEST forces. As a majority of the Decepticons were focused on the Vanguard group and turned their area into a giant battlefield and staging ground, this led the Autobots to be able to sneak their way through the entire army of Decepticons towards the pillars. Also, as the Decepticons spent most of their efforts on Arcania, the American Military had a small chance of getting their troops in.

Now, it was only a matter of who can hold out longer and who had the better luck. If the Vanguard group can hold out long enough, it would be a matter of time before the Autobots win. However, if the vanguard group fails to hold down the attention of the Decepticon army, it would be game over for the Autobots.
