He promised that he would pass all the tests with perfect scores, and prove to Lie Fan that he was worthy of being with Wannian. Lie Fan nodded his head and finally turned to face Sima Yi, he told Sima Yi that he could profess his feelings to Wannian, but before proving his worth don't expect that he would achieve what he wanted, his permission.

Sima Yi nodded his head promised not to promise, but sworn that he would not go against what Lie Fan had just said, satisfied Lie Fan told him he could go and prepare for his test.

After some time had passed, Lie Fan returned to his study where he prepared for the North plan, approving or rejecting documents. With that several days passed by, and Lie Fan was preparing to head toward Changyang County with the Qilin Army.

His army was waiting outside of Xiapi, and everything had been done as prepared before in the meetings with Jia Xu, Xun You, and Chen Gong following him while Chen Qun and Liu Ye stayed overseeing his domain and supply line for both fronts.

When he adorned his armor and said his goodbyes to his family, he was surprised by the sudden appearance of Lu Lingqi who also adorned her armor and was accompanied by several members of her unit.

He asked her what he was doing there, to which have replied that she wanted to follow him of course since she finally managed to gain her mother's approval, she also told Lie Fan that she had sent her unit to join his army outside of Xiapi.

Lie Fan begin to have a headache after hearing what Lu Lingqi has just said, because he didn't expect that Lady Yan will grant her permission to join and after several days even some weeks have passed he thought that Lu Lingqi want approval from her mother.

Now suddenly she appeared and asked to join him, no not asking but forcing her way in to follow him. Since Lady Yan has given her permission and that's what he has promised, he could only reluctantly agree and tell Lu Lingqi to stay beside him or Zhang Liao.

Lu Lingqi jumped in happiness and promised to follow his order well, so after once again saying goodbyes to his wives who looked at him the wrong way, and his children, Lie Fan with his bodyguards alongside Lu Lingqi and her unit headed toward Xiapi Northern gate.

Along the way, many people of Xiapi who see Lie Fan immediately greet him with respect and wish for him to be victorious and come back safely, even some old ladies cry while wishing for his safety.

Lu Lingqi who saw this was amazed at how loved Lie Fan was by his people and how well Lie Fan was in responding to their wishes, her father and Dong Zhuo never received such a response from their people.

Arriving at the Northern Gate, Lie Fan and Lu Lingqi joined Zhang Liao, Gao Shun, Jia Xu, Xun You, and Chen Gong who weren't surprised by Lu Lingqi's appearance, as they had seen Lu Lingqi's unit who instilled themselves in the ranks of the army.

After receiving that everything is ready, Lie Fan leads his army to begin to head out toward Changyang County, Lie Fan first heads toward Langye which they will pass for them to reach Changyang County.

He wanted to meet with this father and mother, greet them with respect, and maybe stay for a day or two to keep them updated on their conditions and situations personally face to face, not through the Oriole even though he already knew their condition beforehand from the Oriole.

After several weeks passed by, when they were several kilometers away from Langye, they found a village that was being raided by a group of bandits, Lie Fan was surprised that there were bandits that still ran rampant in Xu Province.

So he wanted to send his man when Lu Lingqi volunteered herself to lead the unit and exterminate this group of bandits because she could feel the judgment radiation from the eyes of Lie Fan's soldiers, not for her but for her units who they looked down upon.

Lie Fan at first wanted to deny her request but after looking at her pleasing eyes, Lie Fa finally relented and had Gao Shun go out with her to keep her safe, Lu Lingqi wanted to protest but held her mouth she knew that Lie Fan would definitely reject her if she protests.

So Lu Lingqi and Gao Shun head out leading Lu Lingqi's unit to eliminate the bandits, and when the bandits saw the soldiers were all women except for one man they let out a lewd laugh and teased all of them, especially Lu Lingqi who was the most beautiful.

Angered by this, Lu Lingqi immediately killed one of the bandits with her halberd, causing the bandit to be surprised at first but then turned to anger and cursed at Lu Lingqi promising to use her body to be played with.

This further angered Lu Lingqi who then went on a rampage, followed by her unit and Gao Hun behind her after some minutes passed by all of the bandits were eliminated and the people were saved.

After making sure that the people were treated and safe, Lu Lingqi and Gao Shun alongside Lu Lingqi's unit returned to Lie Fan and reported everything that happened, while doing so Lu Lingqi could feel that the news of Lie Fan's soldiers began to show some respect for her unit.

Lie Fan nodded his head and commended Lu Lingqi and her unit for their great work, and with that, they continued toward Langye where they were welcomed by Lie Shang and Yu Yan at the Governor's Castle.

Lie Fan kowtowed his Father and Mother with respect and affection, apologizing for their unfilial son not visiting them sooner but it was them who visited him and his family at Xiapi Every time.

Lie Shang and Yu Yan told Lie Fan to stand up and that he didn't need to apologize, as they knew that their son was very busy and that he was once one of the most powerful warlords in the land.

When the three of them were having a conversation, Yu Yan saw Lu Lingqi and was surprised by her beauty then she began to pinch Lie Fan in the ear asking him if he found another wife again without telling them, when Lu Lingqi heard her face turned ripe red blushing like a tomato, while stuttering saying that she is not Lie Fan's wife but his general where Lie Fan second the motion while telling Yu Ya to stop pinching his ear.
