First day!

The UA highschool. Best hero course in the nation. It was almost as magnificent as it looked in the anime. Especially with the cherry blossoms floating gently by, 5cm per second.

"Haru-chan!" Deku called out.

I looked at him, running up the stairs, as he slipped, heading right at the top step, chin first.

Dont get curbstomped by the stairs on your first day here, you idiot!

I activated the Immobilization Eye and stooped him, just as he was about to de-jaw himself.

Behind him, I could see the extended hand of a girl, almost touching.

It was Uraraka. Of course it was Uraraka. Canon has been trying to right itself almost every day since I entered this world. Warping smiles, rainbow blushes, unexpected quirk variations. Almost as if the world itself was fighting my attempt at change. Not overtly but subtly.

Or maybe I was just going mad.

Either way, since they met in the entrance exam, with Izuku saving Uraraka from the giant robot, this time even without powers, using tactically placed explosive flechettes.

Now the world was trying to bring the two closer again.

Heh! Not on my watch, though.

Deku reached behind him, grabbing onto the railing before giving me a thumbs up as I let him go.

He supported himself on his arm and pulled himself back onto his feet.

"Haru-chan!" He said, "Good morning!"

"You seem chipper? Excited?" I asked.

"How can I not be! It's UA! And I'm here! It's been a lifelong dream of mine!" He replied overenthusiastically.

"Uh hi?" Uraraka said behing him, causing Deku to jump up in fright.

He turned around to see her and devolved in his old muttering self.

"H-h-hi, U-uraraka-san. Howareyoudoingtoday?"

I slapped him on the head.

"Ow! Why?" He asked.

"You're being creepy. Stop it. And be confident. She's the same as you, a fellow student. No need to be so nervous." I said.

"But she's a girl!" Deku said.

"So is Himiko but you can talk to her just fine can't you?" I said.

"Well, but Himiko's different, like...uh ... she's not really like a you know?" He mumbled.

"That's not a nice thing to say to a girl, Deku-san." Uraraka added.

"See. Even she agrees. Now relax. Take a deep breath. And go at it again." I said.

Deku nodded, and tried again.

"Good morning, Uraraka-san!" He said, bowing.

Haah! I sighed. At least he's not stuttering anymore. Baby steps, I reminded myself. Besides, he's a teenager. It's normal to be self concious at his age.

"Good enough for now. Let's get to class before it's too late." I reminded, the two as we ran up the stairs.

"Such a big door!" Deku commented.

"Big doors for big schools." I said absentmindedly, opening the door to see Iida and Bakugo in a familiar argument.

"Take your legs off the desk!" Iida insisted, flailng his arms, "Show some respect for student who used this desk before you! This is the legacy of a prestigious school! You cannot desecrate it like this!"

"Mind your own damn business you extra!" Bakugo shouted.

"How about both of you shut it, eh? Let's not make a ruckus in here?" I advised.

"What you bas..." Bakugou started, only to shut it upon seeing me.

"Good boy!" I said.

"Tch...bastard." Bakugo muttered.

Hmm. All those wedgies worked wonders it seems.

"As for you, handy boy, if you respect the students so much why make so much noise in an institution of learning. Is that how you show your respect to this school's legacy? Do you also play death metal in libraries to show your respect?" I asked.

Snickers rang out in the class as I took my seat beside Tokoyami.

I scanned the room. No Hagakure then huh? How did she miss it but grape head got in? Fucking bullshit, I say!

"I...You're right. I'm sorry. I'm Tenya Iida. From Somei junior high. Nice to meet you .. uh?" He said extending a hand.

"Haru. Shikimori Haru. Same." I said reciprocating with a handshake.

"Hey!" Kirishima said, walking over, "Did you by chance save two girls from a giant villain two months ago?"

"Well, I wouldn't say save, but yeah. Why?" I asked pretending not to know him.

"Thank you!" He said bowing deep.

"What's with that? Were they your friends or something?" I asked.

"No. They were mine though." Mina said, walking over.

"Ah! I recognize you. You're the girl that was running to attack that guy weren't you? Poor choice of action. He'd have crushed you." I said.

"No. I wasn't going to attack him, just distract him long enough for help to arrive. Anyways, thanks for saving them." She said casually.

"Don't mention it. Wasn't much." I said.

"By that logic though, were you the guy that was stuck in fear by the intersection?" I asked Kirishima.

"Uh..yeah. I'm ashamed. It wasn't manly at all. But you were so manly! How you casually talked him down and led him away! So cool!" He said.

"As I said, don't mention it. But you certainly flipped the script! What with that red hair and all? Almost didn't recognize you!" I replied.

"Haru-chan, when did you do this?" Deku asked.

"A couple months back, I took the long way back home." I said.

Meanwhile, Iida waited patiently, muttering my name as if trying to remember something. Then it clicked to him.

"Woah! You're the guy who broke All Might's points record and aced the entrance exam! Truly exceptional. Though I thought it would be someone more imposing looking." Iida said.

"Can you tell how you did it?" He added.

"Well, sometime later maybe. It's a long story and I don't think you're the type to enjoy short version of anything." I said.

"Yes. Later. Definitely." He said, before getting back to his seat.

"You done chattering?" A voice came from outside, as the class shut up instantly.

In rolled Aizawa, wrapped in a sleeping bag.

"Ah! You're the guy...ftom Naruhata. With the bandages! Pro hero Eraserhead!" Deku exclaimed.

"Yes. Now get seated Midoriya." Aizawa said in his typical half dead tone.

"Did you specifically choose me to be in your class? Because by my calculations, you would have taken Bakugo here for his bad temper, making me assigned to class B. Unless you pulled some strings to get me in this class." I asked.

"Perceptive. And rational. Yes. I chose the three of you specifically for this class. And I think you know why." He said, grumpily.

"What? Are you still mad that you got your ass handed to you back in Naruhata? Want an apology? Forget it! I wasn't about to let Koichi get arrested for no reason."

"You attacked two pro heroes, me and Ingenium. And interfered with police work. And engaged in vigilantism. On multiple occasions. You too Midoriya." Aizawa countered.

"And need I remind you that the only reason Naruhata and it's police force is still alive is because we stopped the terrorists. The terrorists you should have caught two weeks earlier mind you! If anything you should be grateful we did your job for you!" I replied.

"Yeah!" Deku added.

Aizawa sighed.

"This is exactly why you are in my class. Your attitude needs fixing. And so does that hero complex of yours. Don't think I don't know it was you who interfered with Toga Himiko's case. You harbored a criminal and obstructed justice."

"You mean we saved an innocent girl from being persecuted for the crimes of the system? Yeah, that we did. And she's been acquitted of all charges, for your information. No thanks to you once again!" Deku countered this time.

Whispers rang out in the class at the revelations as Aizawa sighed in defeat.

"You're exactly like that Kugizaki. Bloody annoying!" Aizawa whined.

"Hehehe. And we're damn proud of it." I said, and Deku nodded in agreement, grinning all the way.
