Bombshells!

Now I redoubled my efforts in training. And the first issue I had to solve was my range. The reason I couldn't just freeze Lady Nagant from across town and telekinetically crush her head like rotten pear was because I focused all my power on trance for Laplace Junior's pericognition and the near absolute stopping power of my Immobilization Eye. I simply didn't have the range. And that cost me dearly in that fight. No more.

I focused on the clouds above me and activated my telekinesis, streching it long and thin, reaching for the sky.

Slowly and steadily, my force spread upwards, as I pushed and pushed, reaching nearly 400 meters before suddenly, my grip began loosening, the psi petering out, before finally dissipating into nothingness.

I panted like a beaten dog, gulping down an entire bottle of water.

"Alright. Once more." I mumbled.

Over the course of the next few months, when I wasn't training with Deku and small might, or going to court to support Himiko from the pews, I pushed myself until I sweat blood, literally.

And finally, after practicing nothing except extending my powers, I had my new range. 1.24 kilometers. It was fucking insane. That was almost the size of the entire downtown area of Hamamatsu. One way. In a circle of that radius, I could casually smack anyone in the city over the head.

Of course I still had to fine tune my stength and control. As it stood now, at 1.24 kilometers my strength was about the same as a baby's and so was my control.

But that could be done in due time.

That aside, today was the day. Not only was Himiko acquitted of all crimes but Deku had finished his training as well. And so we all gathered to celebrate in Naruhata.

"Kanpai!" We cheered, clanking our beer tumblers. Of course only the adults actually had beer in theirs. The rest got orange juice. That included me too. But that didn't matter much. I was never one for alcohol anyways.

"Congratulations! Now you can go back to your normal life ne, Himiko?" Deku said.

Himiko hesitated for a bit there before answering.

"Yup!" She replied cheerily.

"So what are you going to do now that you are no longer a villain?" Kazuho asked.

"I ... don't know? I didn't really think about it?" She answered.

"Maybe get your high school diploma?" Soga suggested.

"Maybe. Yeah. That'd be good." She said.

"You can always come work with my company!" Koichi suggested.

"I'm sure she doesn't want to be a glorified janitor, baka!" Kazuho said, smacking Koichi on the back.

"Eh? But it's a good job. The pay is decent too." He insisted.

"Sure it is. Be that as it may, it's no place for a girl!" Kazuho conceded.

"My boss is a lady." Koichi countered.

"Eh, you know what? Do what you want! I'll be back in a minute." She said, getting up.

"Where are you going?" Koichi asked.

"Where do you think? The toilet. Idiot." Rapt interrupted.

All yhe while Soga was looking at me with a curious gaze.

"So, Haru, now that this whole crusade of yours is over, what are you going to do?" He asked.

"I'm going to apply to UA of course." I answered.

"I figured as much." Soga smiled.

"You'll make a great hero."

"Hehehehe, I know right?" Deku said grinning.

"What are you so happy about?" I asked.

"All my dreams are coming true. I'm getting trained by All Might, I have great friends, and in a couple of months, I'll be going to UA and become a hero. It just feels like ... I feel so blessed." He said, tearing up in joy.

I gave him a shoulder hug, patting his back.

"Ah! To be young!" A familiar voice came from the other room.

Rapt pulled the divider open, revealing the inhabitants.

"Uncle Tanuma!" I called out.

"Oh! It's you Haru-chan! You aren't drinking booze are you? Cuz I'll tell your mom if you do." He said, slurring his words ever so slightly.

"You're drunk Tanuma. See this... it's orange juice, no froth." Detective Tsukauchi said pointing at the mugs.

"Oh! It is. Good boy!" He said patting my head.

"You're....a, a, ... You're the concert guys right?" Tsukauchi asked.

"Yes." Soga replied.

"And what about the concert? Hows that coming along?" Asked Tanuma.

"You'll have to ask Pop herself about that." Koichi answered.

"Now that you mention, hasn't she been gone a while?" Rapt mentioned.

"Maybe she's pooping?" Koichi said.

"No one takes a 10 minute poop in a restaurant." I said.

Soga furrowed his brows. Something was wrong.

I activated Red Reality and checked the bathrooms. She wasn't there.

"She's not in the bathrooms." I said, "Or in the restaurant!"

I stood up and everyone else followed.

After a quick search of the surroundings the situation became even more dire. Pop*step was nowhere to be found.

Fuck!

I forgot all about it. The queen bee bombing incident!

Almost on cue bombs went off all across the block, as a song began to play.

It was Pop*step, no, queen bee controlling her.

Damnit! I should've known. And prepared.

"Let's go!" I told Deku.

"No you don't." Tanuma said, grabbing the both of us by the ears.

"I'm not letting you get hurt on my watch! Go home. Now!" He added.

"Aw man. C'mon uncle Tanuma, we'll just watch!" I whined.

"No! This isn't a game, Haru. These are terrorists. Listen to me. Go home or I'll make you." He threatened.

"Okay. Fine. But you have to take a video of it for me. Please!"

"Alright. I'll try. Now go." He replied pushing us into Soga's arms as he dragged us out of there.

"We're going to turn around and come back right?" Deku whispered whispered.

"No. We're going home. This is way above our pay grade. We'll come back later after we're prepared." I answered to a surprised Deku.

"Why? You are always ready to jump in the fray! Why are we just leaving?" He cried.

"Believe me Deku. This isn't the last of it. We'll come back. Just not today. Do you trust me?"

"Yeah but.."

"Then listen to me. Let's go home for today, okay." I replied sternly.

"Alright, if you say so." He agreed.

As we reached the train station, Himiko ran up to me.

"What is it?" I asked.

She fidgeted in place for a moment before pulling at my sleeve.

"Can we talk ... alone?" She said, looking at Deku.

"Ok." I said, giving Deku a knowing nod.

He nodded back and gave me a thumbs up, a stupid grin on his face.

What did he think was happening?

I followed Himiko to a bench nearby and sat down beside her.

"So...?" I prodded.

"My parents... they've disowned me." She said.

Way to drop a fucking bombshell bitch!

Might have as well said that you were pregnant.

"What now?" She asked expectantly.

Man those beautiful puppy dog eyes!

Ugh this is not fair!

"Fine." I sighed.

"I'll do something about it."

"You will?" Her face lit up like a firecracker.

"Yeah. But give me some time alright?" I added.

"Uhuh!" She nodded.

I returned to Deku, who still had a perverted grin on his face.

"Soooo~" he poked me.

"So nothing. She didn't confess, if that's what you're wondering." I shot him down.

"Aw! Killjoy!" He complained.

"Yeah yeah, whatever." I replied,"Let's go home."
