Chapter 29

The fight was quick as the assailants were few, I shot a spell or two from time to time till the battle was over.

"Good work" I said after the battle.

"We who have chosen the path Justice, fighting against evil in the city, will always help anyone in need of our assistance" Alise said while puffing her chest with pride.

I smiled lightly at her antics, she truly was an eccentric person. I didn't fail to notice a hint of embarrassment by her other familia members to the way she spoke. Being a gentle man would require me to ignore their embarrassment but I had to ask something.

"Is she always like this??" I asked to which Kaguya replied.

"Yes, just ignore her" she said to which I chuckled at in return.

"Well it was nice meeting you guys again but I have to leave. Got some quests to fulfil".

"Ah thanks for the help now and before, hope we meet again" Alise replied. I turned away from them and walked towards another part of the 16th floor.

I spent the next few hours hunting anything that I could kill Solo, after which I went to the guild to deliver the requested items, got paid and went home to clean up, eat and sleep.

During dinner, I spoke of my encounter with the Astraea familia to which Bahamut seemed to take interest.

"Sigh, Astraea is still the same as before only picking girls" Bahamut said.

"Do you know Astraea well??" I asked, because the information intrigued me. Lili just kept eating as she was not interested or didn't understand such topics.

"In heaven we had a good relationship. We both represented justice in our respective pantheons. I also got along with Artemis but I haven't spoken to any of them in a while. The last time I met Astraea was when I first arrived in Orario" she said.

"Well I guess, I will have to arrange a meeting between you two sometime" I said as we continued dinner while talking about miscellaneous topics.

The reason I was interested in this was because, I could form a meaningful relationship with the Astraea familia. This would give me reason to aid them and we could do joint expeditions in the dungeon as well.

I wasn't so brave and strong enough to believe that I could risk my entire familia and life to save the Astraea familia without chickening out but if a relationship is formed between us, it would be my source of strength to take action.

*3 months later*

It's been 3 months since my level up and several things had happened. It is already a new year and my sibling and Clair are on their way to Orario. I have still been giving my family updates on what have been happening, skipping the gore of course and things seemed to be progressing well.

My romantic relations was progressing at an extremely slow pace, but still progress non the less. Things were crazy in Orario for a while but with the aid of the Ganesha and Astraea familia, it was manageable.

Today we are going to the star dust garden. Home of the Astraea familia to reunite friends. Well at least that's the excuse I used and Bahamut was super bored at home so she came along with Lili.

I knocked on the door for a while after which it was opened by Ryuu Lion fully covered in clothing.

"How can I help you" Ryuu said stoically

"Can you tell lady Astraea that Bahamut is here to see her" I said to which she nodded and left without inviting us in.

A minute later Astraea came out with Alise and Lyra.

"Bahamut it's so good to see you again" Astraea said while giving Bahamut a tight hug.

"It's been a while Astraea" Bahamut replied.

"Oh where are my manner, please come in" Astraea said, inviting us in, we accepted and walked into the house.

Once inside Astraea and Lyra led us to a living room and everyone was seated.

We introduced each other and I got to know all the members of the Astraea familia which were Alise Lovell, Ryuu Lion, Gojouno Kaguya, Lyra, Neze Rankett, Iska Bra, Maryuu  Reage, Noin Unic, Asta Knox, Ryana Lietz, Cecil and Celty Srowa. Not all of them were home because they were out on patrol but they were still introduced regardless.

"So what brings you here" said Astraea.

"Sigh, I wanted to hang out with you but with the evilus running around Draco won't let me go and play. I have been bored at home alone for a while" Bahamut said while pouting.

"Haha" Astraea laughed at Bahamut, she knew that this was just how Bahamut was.

"Oh and Draco said something about Alliance to kill evilus" Bahamut added.

At the mention of that, Astraea's expression turned serious. After contemplating for a while she replied.

"I don't mind working with you but your familia is too small in size to help" said Astraea.

"Oh don't worry, some future members are on their way to Orario so our size would soon grow" replied Bahamut.

"Hmm, then it's ok I guess but my children all deserve a say" she replied.

"I don't mind, Draco has helped us before" said Alise to which the others nodded in return. Seeing as an agreement was verbally reached the rest of us were sent off while Bahamut and Astraea went about in their private talks.

Alise decided to show us around the Stardust Garden, which was interesting to see while some of the girls that were on patrol returned home. I was asked a lot of questions about myself and I also asked them about themselves.

Lili looked a bit uncomfortable from being doted on a bit too much, she was a cute kid in the midst of a lot of older girls.

After a while Astraea and Bahamut came to meet us. it was time to go home.

Time passed, before I knew it my manor was completed along with all the tools and appliances that I requested. My siblings and Clair would be arriving in Orario today. I waited for them at the gates to take them to the new manor, because we were moving today.

I patrolled the streets with the Astraea familia from time to time. Soon my familia's name was somewhat recognized. Though in the minority, I was mostly seen as a fancy add on, to the Astraea familia.

A few hours later, I saw a group of 7 walking through the gates looking lost. So I called out to them. They wanted to come alone just like me, but my grandparents didn't allow that so they came together as a group.

"Hey over here" I yelled, drawing their attention towards me. Soon I was noticed and the walked toward me.

They looked all grown up even though it's only been a year since I last saw them.

"Nii san is it true that you are already level 2" Michalis asked in an excited tone. The others seemed interested but I had to take them to the manor. Orario was currently dangerous, so talking in the open about sensitive information was foolish.

"Calm down guys, I will lead you to your new home. We can talk about things after that" I said, beckoning them to follow me while paying my maximum attention to my surroundings.

"I will introduce you to the goddess and please stay close to me, the city is in a dangerous period just like, I wrote in my letters so don't let your guard down" I said as we made our way to Bahamut old house.

In a year or two, I won't have to worry about Bahamuts safety, just need them to grow for a while before going on an expedition.

'Today the Bahamut familia will rise from 2 to 9' i though as I was excited to see what abilities my siblings and Clair would have after attaining falna.
