Crusading (Part1)

[A/N: special announcement at the end of the chapter anyways enjoys]

In a large forest you could see a shadowy figure leaping from tree to tree. The shadowy figure landed on a tree branch and stop jumping to cast his spell. This shadowy figure is Yuno and he is currently hunting. He was wearing a black shirt, dark brown pants and his signature pendant but unlike five years ago Yuno's hair has grown out but was still wild, his eyes still had an amber colour, also his muscle are more developed and robust. Casting his spell to attack his prey Yuno took a deep breath and exhale

"[Wind Creation Magic: Hunter's Bow]"

A bow created out of wind appeared in Yuno's hand although it did have the shape of a bow but it did not seem solid, as he draws back the sting of the bow and arrow made of wind appeared. Aiming at his prey which was a wolf with black fur that seem to bled into the forest shadow and silver-coloured eyes that shown with intelligent. This species of wolf is called a Shade Wolf it is a rare species of wolf to find due to the fact they only hunt at night and have an affinity to shadow magic allowing them to bled into the night's darkness

'I was lucky to actually find one, it accrued when I was looking for a new place to train because the old training spot felt too small for me, so like any crusader I went looking for new land that I could conquer. While I was crusading, I found the Shade Wolf its looked young seemingly at least in its adolescent stage that was hunting a deer but due to its arrogance of not hiding its presence the deer was alerted and quickly ran off'

'But the reason why I am hunting it is because of the material I can get from it. Not only is its species rare to find but its fur is luxurious if turned into a magical coat it could be sold for many gold coins and since it can be turn into a magic tool many nobles would try to buy it, I can also sell or use other parts of the wolf to create magic tools. So of course, I would hunt it down I was figuratively looking at a gold mine'

As Yuno took another deep breath he focuses on his target, exhaling he release the string of the bow the arrow shoot forward with extreme speed towards the wolf, but in a split second the wolf dodged it by jumping to the side

"Tsk looks like a sneak attack will not work anymore since it is on high alert, I guess I will have to face it in close combat"

As Yuno draws his wooden sword from his side the wolf began to run away.

"Does he think, he can escape from me"

"[Wind Reinforcement Magic: Hawk eyes]"

Yuno casted one of his spells and his once amber eyes turn light green and resemble a hawk's. His eye sight was enhanced being able to now see farer and see more details in his surroundings. Quickly looking around with his enhanced vision he was able to locate were his gold mi...ehmm his prey was, it seems to be trying to run deeper in to the forest .

"Not a chance, I don't know if you have a pack and if so, I don't want you to alert them"

"[Wind Magic: Razor Wind]"

After coating his wooden sword with mana, he slashed it at the air and what appeared was a large vertical blade made at wind, it rushed towards the wolf but as it reached its tail the wolf was yet again able to dodge Yuno's attack by jumping to the side.

"I am not finished!"

"[Wind Magic: Enhance Wind bullet]"

While the wolf was still in the air Yuno cast another spell but unlike the other attacks the [Wind Bullet] was able to hit the wolf's hind leg, it pierces through the wolf's fur and skin leaving a wound with blood flowing out. As the wolf landed back on the ground it fell and rolled over due to the injury it got on its leg from the [Wind Bullet].

"Now with that injury you won't be able to run fast enough to escape"

While walking forward towards the wolf wooden sword in hand Yuno spoke. [A/N: should I show you guys a pic of Yuno's wooden sword? If so, it will be in this paragraph comment section]

"GGGRRRRRRR!"

Seeing the human walk towards him the wolf had a furious look in his eyes and growled at him while staggering to the side. They both stop for moment and silence permeated the area as the battle officially began, they rushed towards each other.

"[Wind Magic: Enhance Wind Bullet]"

Yuno casted his spell and in responses the wolf swung its claw at the incoming attack. The wolf's claw emitted a dark mist when it was swung, it then released a three dark crescent blade in succession at Yuno's [Wind Bullet]. As both attacks clashed Yuno reached towards the wolf and swung his wooden sword that was still reinforced with mana. The wolf also attacked Yuno by forming a spike made from its shadow and shoot it toward Yuno's heart. Yuno counter the attack by redirecting his sword to the s shadow spike but that left him wide-up to the wolf next attack.

The wolf punce on Yuno biting him with his sharp teeth at his left hand, as the wolf teeth sunk into Yuno's hand drawing blood falling on the ground

"AARRGGG!"

Groaning from the pain he felt in his left hand from being bitten Yuno stared into the wolf's eyes but he did not stay idle. He twisted his reinforce wooden sword and stab it toward the wolf's side. Feeling pain at his side the wolf release Yuno's hand and jump backwards, his hand had bite marks and his shirt was turned and blooded. The wolf spitted out the piece of shirt that was turn because of his teeth.

'My left hand is going to be out of commission for the rest of the battle. It also seems that the wolf teeth have a paralyzing effect to it, it would be best to avoid being bitten again then. I should atleast heal this wound.'

Stabbing his wooden sword in the ground he raised his right hand toward his injured one and cast his spell.

"[Wind Healing Magic: Healing Wind]"

In the mean while the wolf did something similar, it fur glowed purple and its wound was slowly covered by it to stop the bleeding. As Yuno's wound slowly closed he observes what the wolf was also doing.

'it seems, it is able to use [Reinforcement Magic] to close or at least stop the bleeding. Will does not matter even if he stops the bleeding since that is his current weak stop'

After his wound was finally closed but his left hand was still paralyzed Yuno took his wooden sword out of the ground, and he imbued it with more of his mana, he also cast another spell.

"[Wind Reinforcement Magic: Silver Boots]"

A boot made of wind appeared on Yuno's feet, as he started to walk toward the wolf, he slowing gain speed until he was running. His figure became a blur due to how fast he was going but while this was happening the wolf's fur purple hue grew brighter. In the blink of an eye Yuno appeared infront of the wolf and swung his sword at it.

But the wolf did something unusual it turned it a dark mist and try to dodge the attack.

'You must think I am an idiot to attack you without knowing you had that ability, will you're wrong'

As the wolf passed him in its dark mist form Yuno cast a spell.

"[Wind Restraining Magic: Bird Cage]!"

A Cage of wind surrounded the wolf in it dark mist state, trying to escape the wolf attacked the cage but was too late in the next moment Yuno turned around and swung his wooden sword at the wolf while casting another spell

"[Wind Magic: Razor Wind]!"

A large vertical blade made out of wind appeared and rushed towards the wolf. It destroyed the bird cage and slashed the dark mist in half the wolf then reverted back to is normal form but was now headless. Walking toward the now dead wolf Yuno spoke.

"That ability of yours allows you to turn into a dark mist that cannot receive damage, will physical damage that is and since you are young, I guess you have not battled a lot of mana beast or at least beast that were not able to effectively use their mana like you"

Looking to the sky that has gotten a bit dark Yuno spoke again.

"Will I better head back it is getting dark I will continue my crusade tomorrow but first let's head back to my base so I can dismantle the materials off this Shade Wolf."

Using the wind, Yuno levitating the wolf as he walks out of the of forest and headed to his old base. As night fell a certain creature appeared at the place Yuno fought and kill the Shade Wolf. This creature was also a Shade Wolf it came here due to the smell of his kin's blood. Once it reached the battle ground it saw the aftermath, it saw a few trees cut down, the ground being uprooted, ad blood splattered around certain areas.

The wolf went toward the large pool of blood and sniffed it. It realizes that this was its kin's blood, felling rage boil in him the wolf released a howl towards the night sky. Once it was finished it went towards the stain of blood on the ground and also sniffed it, it realizes it was human's blood. It now understands what had happen here his kin most have fought a human and lost since it could mostly smell his kin's blood rather than the human.

After understanding what had happen it was ready to go back and tell its pack leader when something caught its eye. It was a piece of cloth yes it was the piece of shirt the wolf bit of in the battle. Picking the cloth up it ran back, into the deep forest leaving the battle field behind.

[A/N: starting from this chapter it's going to be slow pace i want you guys to have a better understanding about the character i am trying to and how he got his spell and power up also if you guys don't get a chapter a week that means i am extremely busy doing my assignments and all. I also have a get idea about a RWBY fanfic but i am not the type of author to start another fanfic without finish this one will see you guys next week bye]
