More aliens and Adam's ambition

The next day, Adam woke up late and lethargic, and when he did, the entire room was spottles again, and only then did it dawn on him that he left quite the mess for the maids and butlers to clean.

Feeling a bit embarrassed and guilty, Adam got up and got dressed into one of his formal outfits befitting of an Emperor, and left the room, not before kissing Serena on the cheek of course.

Adam had breakfast with his family and promptly resumed his duties, no matter how much he didn't feel like it.

First was the front, which saw the success of the Imperial Fleet in many battles, expanding the Empire's buffer zone further.

Also an important thing is the creation of two new fleets since one fleet is no longer sufficient to protect the entire territory of the Empire and the buffer zone.

These fleets will serve under the Imperial Fleet, establishing a hierarchy between them.

The Imperial fleet is known for its aggressive, dominating combat style, but these two fleets will be significantly more focused on defense, sacrificing some weapons and adding more shielding instead.

The plan is that these two will stall whatever attackers appear until the Imperial fleet appears and finishes them off, but the defensive fleets should still be more than capable of dealing with most threats on their own.

After that, there were the usual reports and statistics which Adam had to bear with, but after that and some other reports and orders from him, he was free for a few hours, which he spent lazing around in his room with Serena, who immediately made it clear they won't be doing anything for a week at least.

Not that he blamed her... He did sort of forget in his excitement she has a normal human physique and not one like his which has been forged through fighting and heavy exercise.

After that, he did some exercise in the palaces gym, but was shortly interrupted by an emergency.

"Your majesty. We have detected a lot of foreign signals deeper into the hive and around us! We believe these are more alien civilizations."

"I'm on my way." Adam rushed to the war table after quickly getting dressed and when he got there he got a quick briefing of the situation.

There were five signals, two deep in the hive and three closer to them, each very small and weak but expanding rapidly, from the incredibly active communications between their ships they deduced that they somehow hid themselves from the hive and now showed themselves when they learned about the Empire's efforts.

They don't understand each other's languages quite yet, but considering the seemingly intentional stream of data coming towards them, the others seemed more than aware of their presence.

"They seem friendly for now because we have a common enemy, but we don't know when that might change." A general pointed out.

"Yes, but we have no reason to fight each other for now, our territories are still very far away from each other, so for now, let's do our best to assist them."

"Understood."

Months flew by, during which Adam focused on expanding the Empire and fighting on the front line with his soldiers, leading the charge as often as he could, which made Serena that much happier when her husband returned home alive and well

During these months, the Alien languages were translated and they all joined the Azburgian Protective Sphere, which they insisted be renamed and reorganized into something more equal.

Adam did accept their demands to a certain extent but ensured that the Empire still held a dominant position in the organization.

The new organization would be more democratic, with all of them voting on who would lead the federation based on the strength of their economies and fleets, which the Empire absolutely dominated in.

The members of this federation would be the Azburgian Interstellar Empire, Retorian Traders, Muk Star Collective, Holdorian Federation, Principality of Yutra, The Ragedon Crusaders, and last but not least, The Imperium.

The Muk Star Collective values freedom and rights, so they only accepted because they had no choice if they wished to win against the Hive, Adam had no doubts that they would leave the second they could.

The Holdorian Federation is an alliance between the three major powers on their home planet, which were forced to unite when the Hive invaded their world, up until recently, their planet was partially occupied by the Hive, but thanks to Adam's efforts, they managed to wrestle back control and launch a counter-attack.

The Principality of Yutra, a religious state led by the high prince, is a monarchist zealot state that has a few things in common with the Empire, making them quite friendly with each other.

The Ragedon Crusaders are a very aggressive and militaristic state that believes the rest of the galaxy should follow their beliefs for their own good, even if they have to force them. Surprisingly, they are not very religious.

And last, the big bad Imperium, it's easily the strongest out of all the others, rivaling the Empire in the strength of will and unity, it's best described in the word ambition, it wants to conquer the entire galaxy and is quite vocal in its violent demeanor towards anyone who stands against them.

These nations are all weaker than the Empire, but they are growing at a fast speed, especially the Imperium, it's a small country the Empire could crush with ease for now, but Adam will definitely subjugate them the second his fleets are free.

For now, though, all of these states are still hundreds of systems away and merely maintaining stable communications with them is proving to be a challenge for both sides.

And whatever challenges the Imperium will pose, Adam will lead the Empire to break through them, hopefully with ease, but it probably won't be just smooth sailing.

So Adam will find allies, and together, the Empire and them will be undefeatable. And eventually, the universe itself will kneel before them.

That is his dream, and he will either succeed or die trying.

The Imperium may be very vocal in its objective, but one should never fear the loud one, but the silent one who schemes in the dark, because one can never tell what he is planning.

Adam laughed at himself, such a thing is near impossible, if it does happen, it probably won't be him who manages it, but his children or grandchildren.

He doesn't even know what it means to make the universe kneel. Conquer every galaxy? Make the Empire known across all space and time? Stop the slow death of the universe and defy all laws of reality? Maybe everything at once?

Adam had no clue, but he knew that he wanted to see where humanity's limit lies if there even is one.

Adam was always very ambitious, wanting to dominate in every sense of the word and now that he saw the potential of being crowned Emperor of the galaxy and universe, how could he say no to that?

So after four years in this world, Adam took his first intentional step towards becoming Emperor of the Milky Way and the universe itself.
