Meeting the cat

(AN: team minato was kakashi, obito, and run. Team Kushina was yugao, hayate, and kuranai.)

Hearing the bell ring me and sasuke headed back to class with everyone else. Walking in and sitting down we were met with the sight of tatsu and shin waiting for us.

Standing up tatsu spoke "Ok since shin told you about what we will be teaching you in class I'll walk you through the shinobi training portions I'll be teaching you." He spoke as he motioned for us to get up and follow him.

Walking out of the classroom he lead us outside and to a large sandbox. "This is where you'll be sparing with each other and learning taijutsu as well as kunai combat." Than motioning over to some trees with targets on them he announced "That's where you'll be practicing throwing kunai and shurikan." Than walking us deeper into the training field he said "and this is where you'll learn how to climb and fight in the trees." After that he lead us to a obstacle course and another wooded area that was closed off. "This is our obstacle course as well as a booby trapped area. You'll learn how to move with grace and how to locate traps and ways to get around or disarm them." Opening my mouth to yell out I was cut off by the instructor "locate means find Naruto." He spoke without even looking at me already used to my outbursts at longer words or less known words.

"Now tomorrow we will be doing placement tests where you'll do the courses and compete against your classmates."

All of us nodded at that while I thought 'I may want to look like a failure but if I look to incompetent the principal will have a good reason to kick me out so I'll have to place somewhere in the bottom middle.' Again while everyone else ignored me a curtain lazy genius who has been keeping a close eye on my own noticed the unnatural seriousness and intelligence that flashed through my eyes.

"Good now that's all for today but from tomorrow on class and days will be longer due to us actually teaching you all something now go home and get ready for the placement tests tomorrow." Shin said as he looked us over.

Nodding we all got up to leave I joined sasuke as we went towards the gate.

"I'm going to be first in tomorrows placements as an uchiha I am the elite." The uchiha spoke arrogantly.

Sighing I spoke in a calmer tone than I did throughout the day at school as we neared tbe gate and away from other students "I thought you were less arrogant and didn't have the uchiha stick stick up your ass yet."

He blinked and looked at me in surprise and curiosity as he spoke "My dad says that the uchiha are superior and that our sharingan is the best bloodline. Also you sound different than you do in class."

Nodding I spoke again in a calmer tone "Yes the sharIngan is a really good bloodline when it comes ti combat but bloodlines like the hyuga are better for recon and those in the inuzuka and aburame are better for tracking and capture."

Opening his mouth to argue but pausing to think over what I said he just said "I see hmm your smarter than you let on. Why?"

"Simple we're going to be shinobi the only ones who should know how strong you are are your teammates jonin sensei and the hokage. It's in our job description to be secretive." I spoke out answering his question and before he could ask more we got closer to the parents waiting at the gate as I regained my stupid loud and obnoxious tone "I WILL BE FIRST IN PLACEMENTS AND THAN BE HOKAGE!" I yelled out before running off but not before capturing the sight of a shaking itachi and mikoto doing their best to keep in their laughter at the sour look in my eyes. I groaned motioned to a tree that the anbu who has been stalking me was in discreetly and seeing them shake a little more I thought 'well at least I know the anbu isn't a threat now I'll just lead them to a forest and have the original deal with them as I shit into an alley and created a clone and popped it sending the information to the original before tacking off in the direction of a training field so that the original can deal with her.

I was going against a mass of shadow clones in kunai taijutsu and was suddenly hit with memories of the clone I sent to school. Raising my hand to stop the clones I thought 'I see so I have a stalker and kakashi, shisui, and shisui are back so that means training with them I hope itachi shows me the exploding shadow clone jutsu.' I giggled evilly at the thought of sending hundreds of exploding clones at my enemies. 'Yes with my chakra capacity I'll be a menace in the battle field I can classify it as an anti army jutsu.'

It was than that I heard the melodic voice of kurami "by the log you really are going to be worse than your mother. I almost feel bad for kumo and iwa. Now hurry and go deal with that anbu you have a meeting with the old man so he can instruct you in politics so he can hand that hat over to you later today."

"He'll no I'm not taking that hat i may one day be powerful enough but I prefer not being in the spotlight that's why I'm aiming for anbu." I said in retaliation.

"Ya ya we'll see what you do when the old man orders you to take the hat." She said teasingly as I used a body flicker to leave her laughter following me.

Going to the training field that my clone is I went and sat down in a clearing than feeling like I was being watched I looked up in the air feeling some chakra in the air. Nodding to it I layed back against a training post and waited for my stalker to show up.

*five minutes layer*

Finally sensing my clone and the anbu come into my range I grinned as I used a henge to look like my clone as I got up and waited. Seeing some bushes shake before my clone busted through them with no grace at all and seeing me he quickly got to me and dispersed as I let my own chakra out since I was hiding mine just in case the anbu was good at sensing chakra.

20 seconds later I felt as the anbu stopped at the tree at the edge of the clearing and watched me. Rolling my eyes a little I exclaimed "I can sense you so you can come out." After nothing happening I started directly at her tree and announced "yes you the female in the tree I'm staring at."

Finally dropping into the clearing I was met with the sight of a cat masked female anbu with purple hair. "How did you know I was a woman?" She asked

"Simple all women let out curtain pheromones, same with men I have a nose on par with an inuzuka so I could smell yours." After answering in my stupid carefree tone I decided to act oblivious and said "speaking of smells you definitely need a shower."

The second I said that the air stilled and I heard kurami through our link say 'your a fucking dumbass. You really told a female anbu that they stink. You better live so that I can beat it into you on how to speak to women.'

Letting out an eye twitch I was about to say that I do know how to talk to woman but I'm not in my persona right know I saw the anbu disappear and my instinct's screamed at me to move. Trusting them I used a seal less body replacement with a log. Looking at my previous location I saw the log cut in half and the anbu looking at me. After a second she disappeared again and I did the same this time replacing myself with a clone. As my clone popped almost immediately and I let the henge go and lost the dumb look as my eyes hardened and lost all emotion as did my voice as it went into a stoic monotone.

She looked at my new appearance and seemed stunned. Not letting the chance go I launched kunai at her as I created a few clones to attack her and a few more to go and set traps I disappeared into the thick forest and hid my chakra as much as I could. All this happend within 3 seconds but it was more than enough time for the anbu to regain her barings and deflect the 3 kunai with her sword. 'She's quick with that sword and her firm is perfect.' The only reason I could tell this was due to me looking over the kenjutsu scrolls multiple times daily for months. 'She's a real kenjutsu master.' I noted with respect, as she cut down my clones effortlessly. 'Do I test my own sword is the question itachi and mikoto showed that they didn't think this woman a threat which means they trust her also the fact that no one's stopped this yet and that I could still see her movements means she's not going all out or for the kill. All of her swings are non lethal to a human.' Noting this all down and seeing someone who I could test my ability on i steeled my self and let my [emotional control level 9] do it's work as i sharpens my focus and let a little of kurami's chakra fun through my body I could only handle a drop of her chakra without destroying my body but it boosts my physical strength a good bit as well as slows down my perception a lot while increasing my reaction rate a good but as well. Letting kurami's natural bloodlust that comes with her chakra out the anbu snapped her head towards me as I called out "BENIHIME" as my eyes turned blood red with slits instead of the slitted crimson red eyes kurami's chakra gave me and the bloodlust doubled as benihime's the bloodlust threatened to take control over me my [emotional control level 9] kept me in control. But I couldn't help the excited grin that came to my face. The anbu jumped back and got in her stance and getting in my own I waited. 'Even with all these power ups I'm no where near a experienced chunin's level let alone an anbu's.' I thought as I let my senses out to the max when she almost disappeared again but my increased perception and reaction time kept up with her and I blocked her first strike. Than the next and next and next. Just one after the other I was out of the defense immediately barely keeping up with her but I could almost feel myself improving as we fought after 2 more minutes of gradual improvement she noticed it as well and backed off. Jumping up and into the trees she made a come here jester as I followed suit. I know it's dumb to charge a superior enemy but I could feel no hostility or hatred from her she was just testing me.

Following her up into the trees I gracefully went from branch to brach not leaving any trace I narrowly avoided branches and attacked her at weird and unexpected angles using my size to my advantage as I used the branches to get in the way of her strikes. After a few minutes of this I finally felt kurami's chakra running out and I jumped back already having received my clones memories of where the traps were I retreated while constantly moving in different directions but making sure to not loose her as I passed a ninja wire and pulled on it sending 3 kunai at me. Dodging them easily they headed towards the anbu who blocked the 2 that were going to hit her and ignoring the one that missed. 'Ha big mistake' I thought as the kunai turned into a clone and through a kunai at the anbu from behind. Hearing the kunai pass through the air she turned and blocked it. Quickly turning back to me she saw that I was gone. Using the special anbu camouflage technique to head behind a tree that had a bunch of wires connected to it. Following the wires only yo see them disappear hidden by genjutsus that shisui taught me. 'I know I can't beat her but I hopefully can impress her enough ti teach me kenjutsu.' I thought as I thought about my hastily made traps. 'Hmm not even close to my best work but this will do.' I thought as I saw her slowly move to the right. Pulling at a wire a few shurikan flew at her from her left making her go right as I made a hand seal and a explosive seal exploded from beneath her sending her into the air only for her to turn into a log and I sensed her pop up 20 feat behind it. Pulling another wire more kunai went after her. Deciding to deflect them instead of dodge she stood her ground as I thought 'got ya.' And pulled on the remaining wires as she was caught up in a web of wires and I used a body flicker to place benihime on her neck.

With labored breathing I asked "how did I do." Looking down at me I got the impression that she was smirking at me.

"You did good." She spoke only for me to hear her voice behind me next "For a child that is." And her blade was on my neck.

Chuckling I asked "and do really think I'd make the mistake of showing myself?" As I popped and my voice came from everywhere as a thick mist came in.

"I'm a sensor your not you may be superior in strength and experience but I've been trained in stealth by the foremost expert in it for a good while now and I've picked up a few tricks." I said as I left a shallow cut on her arm. Making her jump and suppress her chakra to the max making her almost disappear from my senses but 'you cant hide your sent from me.' I thought as I left another cut on her leg. Checking Benihimes blade to make sure that there was blood I nodded as I saw the thick red substance get absorbed into her and I felt her shake in happiness. Going in for another swing she blocked my blade making me narrow my eyes in confusion as I disappeared back into the mist.

"Yes your ability with traps, ambushes, and stealth is better as well as the fact I'm not a sensor. But your not as quiet as you think you are." She announced before disappearing and reappearing behind me with her blade to my throat.

Sighing I held up my hands in surrender knowing when I've been beat and let the mist disperse. Revealing kakashi and shisui making the cat anbu freeze as I nodded to them than asked "how did I do and enjoy the show?"

Speaking first kakashi answered "You've improved since a month ago."

Than following his praise shisui answered my second question "and yes I enjoyed it very well I can't wait to tell mikoto about how you let your arrogance get the better of you and lost."

Responding to his criticism i widened my eyes and exclaimed "wait no don't anything but that she's already increased my training a lot due to the clone I sent to school."

Grinning shisui was about to speak when "kakashi and shisui what are you doing here?"

Replying while taking out his book kakashi spoke "Oh nothing just seeing how our student was doing with his new teacher and I won't tell mikoto about you letting your arrogance out if you get me the new itch-itcha book."

"Done" I replied immediately as cat asked

"Wait your teaching Kushina sensei's son already and didn't tell me?" Her voice was tinged with a little venom.

Wincing kakashi spoke while shisui nervously chuckled "well we were told to keep this a secret by the hokage so blame him not us and you didn't even want to train him back in the hokages office."

"Well of course I didn't want ti teach him back than he showed no talent and looked like a complete incompetent." She rebuffed kakashi's statement.

"Well of course I put on the act of an idiot im the village jinchuuriki the only way for me to graduate the academy and for people not to get suspicious is to act like a dumbass and barely pass." I responded yo her outrage.

Wincing she let her sword off my throat and said "your smarter than you look and as skilled as Kushina sensei with a sword so I'll teach you kenjutsu meet me here tomorrow same time." Than disappear into a body flicker.

"Well that could of gone better." Shisui was the one to break the silence.

"Yup she's pissed." Kakashi stated

I sighed and spoke "y'all want to go to yakiniku Q I'm hungry."

Looking at each other they spoke "Ya and your paying."

Gaining an eye twitch I replied fine. As a puff of smoke came from my shoulder and kurami appeared. "Did I hear free Yakiniku Q." Was the first thing that came out of her mouth.

Replying to her shisui exclaimed "Yup narutos paying."

Nodding she looked at me and spoke "thanks honey I'll repay you tonight."

Shivering at her tone I just went with it and headed towards the restaurant while making conversation with shisui and kakashi along the way.
