Reborn as a SCP

Leo was a surgeon in the foundation who had dedicated his entire life to the foundation, entering their ranks as a surgeon's assistant the moment he was qualified. He had seen everything from agents with minor injuries up to agents who had sustained major trauma to their bodies and had lost body parts, even operatives who were affected by SCP's. However, through thick and thin Leo stayed loyal to the foundation. Eventually, Leo qualified for a level three clearance level, all he had to do was complete a minor operation on an executive agent of the foundation. However, the agent mysteriously died and Leo was found responsible for the death after a trial. Leo lamented everyone as his hate for the foundation grew. "I dedicated my entire fucking life to your cause, I have saved hundreds of your operatives and this is the fucking reward I get!?!" After Leo found out he was scheduled to be tested on an SCP that could cause a horrendous death he rebelled, resulting in him dying. When Leo died, there was only one thought in his head. "Why am I the one who must always suffer? All of this happened due to the corruption of others, I've just been a puppet in the grand scheme of everything, the foundation is a predator, and I was the prey all along. The entire foundation, no, the entire world is corrupt. It should all be purged in order for a new beginning." Suddenly, Leo heard a mysterious and dark voice calling out to him. "Do you truly wish to purge the world? To create a new one?" Leo thought he was going insane for a second but still responded. "Yes, that is truly what I want. But before that, I want to trample those who wronged me in this world!"

Blackout

Another week had passed and Leo finally learned at what site he was located.

Leo was located at site Phobos.

The name didn't ring any bells for Leo, but at least he knew what site he was located at.

Adam accidentally said it but didn't respond when Leo started asking questions about it.

Adam requested one more interview with Leo but once again canceled it when Leo brought up negotiations.

In the last week, almost nothing interesting happened since Leo would refuse all interviews if they didn't meet his terms.

Leo had decided that once he got out of containment he would first link up with his connections like Noah and Satus before heading back to the village if it wasn't under surveillance.

He wanted to see the changes that happened there for himself.

Leo also wondered if the influence that Sogrith extended over the village would happen to all who worshipped him.

If it did, Leo would have one of the most powerful weapons that existed.

However, Leo didn't have enough time to think about it as suddenly the lights in his containment went out.

Entirely.

This usually meant one of two things,

Scheduled maintenance or generator shutdown.

And since there was no announcement for scheduled maintenance, Leo knew it was the second.

Shortly after the light outage, a dim red light illuminated the containment cell.

Adam was looking around in fear when an announcement rang around the entire site.

"ATTENTION TO ALL PERSONNEL, THE SITE IS UNDER ATTACK BY AN UNIDENTIFIED ARMED GROUP, ALL NON COMBATIVE PERSONNEL MUST REPORT AT THE BREACH SHELTER, CODE PURPLE IS ACTIVE."

Leo revealed a devilish smile when Adam looked at him.

"Run little researcher, go hide. Once these doors open and I find you you will be done for, I will make sure that you suffer if that happens."

Adam didn't even let Leo finish his sentence as he bolted out of Leo's containment unit.

Leo sat down and thought about what he would do next.

The chances of him escaping were still quite slim.

The main generator was down, but the foundation was obviously at least a bit prepared.

A backup generator had powered up and would probably be able to run for twelve hours before giving up, but by that time the foundation would've had their main generator back up and running.

Unless the group that was raiding the foundation right now would disable the backup generator, the doors wouldn't open.

In short, unless the backup generator was taken out Leo still wouldn't be able to escape.

However, Leo was in luck.

All lights suddenly powered off and the sound of the hydraulic seal on the door disengaging could be heard.

Leo couldn't help but laugh.

"Looks like the universe wants me to escape!" thought Leo.

He shapeshifted both of his arms into thin blades before prying the door open.

It still required a decent amount of pressure since the door itself was heavy, but it was no longer sealed like before.

Leo opened the door and stood in the observation chamber of his containment cell.

He walked over to the desk Adam used to sit at, it was all too familiar for Leo.

On the desk laid a bundle titled "CONFIDENTIAL", Leo decided to pick it up.

He picked up a lab coat from a coathanger before wearing it and stuffing the document inside.

He didn't have time to read it now since he was on a timer, the generator would be back up in no time.

There was also the problem that Leo most likely wasn't the only anomaly on the loose.

Some of them would be too stupid to crank open the door or simply lack the power, but there probably were some smart enough to do so.

There was also still the problem that Leo didn't know the site layout, but hopefully, he would find some kind of map of the site.

For now, Leo pried open the last door that was in between him and the outside of his containment cell.

Once the door was opened Leo was met with darkness.

It was hard to see but if he squinted his eyes hard enough he could see where he was going.

"It's time for a jailbreak!"
