Chapter 9: Improvisation Part 1

The place is surrounded by greenery. Numerous trees and plants are visible everywhere if one might look. The sky is quite clear and the sun is shining bright right above the sky. Inside the forest is a simple rundown trailer.

Whity is currently sleeping at the pile of bedsheets while I'm sitting at the chair near at the glass window. In front of me is a pile of books and newspapers.

I went to the nearby town again but since I'm just waiting for Whity to get healed, I decided to start my grind. And what better way to start first by seeking knowledge of this world.

I collected multiple books and brought them to the trailer. Once I got there, I started studying the language of this world. Not gonna lie, learning it's alphabet, words, and sentences is a real piece of work. It took me two nights but I barely learned a few of them.

Suffice to say, my days are incredibly boring. I mostly spend my time reading, feeding Whity, rest my mind a little, then read again. Hence so on and so forth. Before I know it, It became my daily schedule.

Once in a while, I cleaned up our little home. The once rusty and worn down looking trailer van soon got a little upgrade. I fixed most of its holes, I replaced the windows with new ones I found on the nearby town. I reinforced its broken roof and put a wide gate that consists of fresh woods from nearby trees. I also put a lot of traps to our surrounding so when any zombie got close, let's just say that they got double killed...that's a terrible pun and I apologize for that.

Anyway, I resume my studies. Every book I studied, the more knowledge I gained to this whole new world. I even started learning this world's sciences, mathematics, and mechanics. Every time I ran out of books to read, I would go back to nearby town and collect new ones.

....

Today, I'm now fully fluent on their language. I can write and speak on their tongue. I mastered this world's mathematics and put my knowledge of inventions to the test. Yesterday, I was able to repair this trailer van's radio. I'm so excited for this one. Imagine the types of weapons I'll be able to create from now on. I made so much progress but it cost me 12 months living in this trailer.

Whity got a little bigger too. His appearance got turn into a drastic change once he's fully cleaned and well fed. Gone are his thin figure, now he looks more like a gray wolf. His furry white hair had a little grayish tint. I'm not even sure if he really is a dog. His body got massive too. He now stood at a height of seven feet tall. Due to this, I made a big house for him outside. The trailer is just too small for him now. I could see his massive figure on the outside running around chasing his tail. I look unto the book that explained what type species he is and and unsurprisingly, Whity is not actually a dog. He is called a Drakier. Drakiers are carnivorous animals that are found in the forest. They had long life span and could best live up to at least 400 years. Damn, 4 decades. They possess unnatural speed and are quite too aggressive to be kept as a pet. Guess mine's a special case.

Weeks had passed and after reading a few books, I have a general idea on what world I was put into...

From what I gather, I'm in a world that's called Torka. The planet is as big as a Jupiter and it has 20 moons. The residents of this planets are quite technologically advanced. New types of gadgets and machines are introduced. There are flying vehicles in here that they call HG pods and so many other things. Though despite its wide difference from my previous world, I could see some similarities. First off, some of its vehicles has the same structure as those of my world. Just like trucks, motorcycles, and this trailer van right here. The designs of the houses are also quite similar and the plant life of this world are the same of those of earth except there are new ones that the residents of this planets had just discovered. The next info that I got barely surprised me.

The residents of this place are quite actually humans. Though the name is different in here.

In here, they call themselves, hanni. They look exactly identical to humans as well as their biology. Neat, does this mean this body I'm occupying now is a hanni? I guess I am.

However unlike humans, the hanni's has a higher life span. They're average life span is up to 2000 years. The longest hanni ever recorded living in this book is a random man that has an age of 4017 years of age. They also had a high immunity system, making them unable to easily catch diseases. This world is occupied by a bunch of super humans and they seem to always prosper if what the books told him to. So what happened...

I look at the newspaper and saw a guy dressed in a fancy uniform. The colors are blue and he has multiple insignias on his left chest. The sentence in the front page spelled, 'New Type of Medicine Discovered'.

The other one also says, 'Evolution is Coming'.

All things seems to go in the positive direction until the next newspaper had a front page that says in full capital letters, 'OUTBREAK AT- '.

I couldn't read the entire sentence. The other side was ripped apart.

I look at the newspaper that showed a face of a man named Harola Dagar. He showed a soft smile and is waving to the crowd. This Harola Dagar is the owner of a large company that's mostly focused on pharmaceutical products.

I have a ruff gues that this guy could give me answers on why this world turned to this. I hope he's still alive though. I really need some answers...

Haaah.

I got out of my chair and rubbed the bridge of my nose. Things just got complicated. Maybe another time. I quickly went my way outside and saw Whity, sleeping in the ground. My steps alerted him and quickly tackled me to the ground. He looks at me and proceeded to livk my face...

OK, this is just gross. Down boy. After I gestured him to get off me, he happily obeyed my orders and sat a few feet away from me. I stood up and went to the large barn I built on my spare time.

It stood up to 30 feet high and is 70 feet in length.

I went inside and was greeted by numerous pile of scrap I collected in this following months. I currently working on something that my benefit me on my future travels. Something that will always have my back whenever Whity is not there...

I'm building a battle drone. I will equip this baby girl of mine with numerous artillery. I would also make it my weapon storage. Hehe... Those suckers won't know what'll hit them. With this, I will a big chance of clearing that mansion.

How could I forget? Those delicious numbers will surely give me tremendous boost once I'll consume them. If I got lucky, I could further evolve and gain another awesome ability.

Alright, that's enough of day dreaming. Time to get to work. I sat my chair and proceeded to build my drone. After fours, I took a rest and feed Whity some zombie meat.

Till this day, I'm still curious on how this massive Drakier doesn't catch any illness despite eating an infected meat. That is some strong immunity system. Anyway, I tried to work on my ability that I acquired on that infested town.

I call it the black breath. I studied a sample of my spit and learned that it's has millions upon millions on corrosive bacteria. This little guys consume on anything on a rapid pace. And surprisingly, they had a life span of one minute. The moment I let out my black breath, those bacteria would try to eat anything insight.

They can eat almost anything. Trees, walls, flesh, rocks, soil, water, and even fire. This little guys are deadly as heck. Good thing they can't live long enough though. They would devour the entire planet if that was ever a case.

On a massive clearing, I would try to control this ability first hand. A single black breath would cost me almost half of my strength. Meaning, in exchange for this deadly technique, I would slowly get weaker the longer I go. Fortunately, I would recover my strength after a few hours of rest.

And here I thought I would never feel fatigue again now that I'm a zombie...

Now, shall I continue?
