CHAPTER START---

---6 days after Jin disappeared, 2 days after his death announcement...

Hiruzen Saurtobi was a practical man. He had already written off the death of the promising ninja. As an old man in a profession where men die young, this is nothing new to him. Today however he was in for the shock of his life. As he sat in his office smoking his pipe, he flipped through the entries of the bingo book. His reading was casual until he got to one particular page.

"KURENAI!!" he yelled at the top of his lungs, ANBU immediately leaped out of the building to find the jounin.

Not even minutes later, the young jounin and surprisingly accompanied by his own son Asuma stood in his office.

"You called Lord Hokage"

"You told me he was dead, did you lie?" he asked as he hardens his glare, seeing his look Kurenai's eyes widened in surprise.

"What, no lord Hokage he couldn't have survived. Did you find something?"

After taking a long hard look at her face he finally spoke, "Take a seat, and both of you read this."

As the third Hokage tosses the two jounin the newest issue of the bingo book a particular entry is already on the page.

"WELL! EXPLAIN!" The third Hokage yells, "They even have a damn picture of him smiling"

"..."

"Shit" was all Asuma had to say.

"I'm sure he has a reason for this lord Hokage, Jin doesn't do anything without reason," Kurenai reassured the man.

"What led you to believe he was dead?" he questioned.

"He was shot with arrows and bleeding out, then swallowed by a great fireball and rushed by a dozen jounin, why wouldn't I think he was dead lord Hokage. I had no idea he could do all this."

"Neither did I, if this keeps up he'll give me a heart attack. IF he has an acceptable reason for this then I'll treat it like a mission, I shouldn't have to tell you what happens if he doesn't. I knew this kid was talented but never thought he was this much of an overachiever, can't seem to get a break anywhere these days,"

"Thank you, Lord Hokage," Kurenai says with a bow.

"You're both dismissed"

As Kurenai and Asuma leaped from roof to roof, eventually the woman got to the training ground where she stopped and leaned on a tree, holding her head trying to figure out what the hell happened.

"Tell me your dad is playing some sick joke, right" she pleaded.

"Afraid not, not about things like this."

"I told everyone he's dead. So many people cried and... dear god. Hinata still hasn't left her room. She thinks he died to save her. I thought he died to save her. What am I supposed to do Asuma? The book had a picture and everything!"

"Well team 7 is out looking for some lady's cat, maybe talk to them after he gets back, just in case this is a hoax somehow in a bingo book."

"Yeah, I hope he comes back soon. I've got a lot of questions for him."

"Assuming he gets past my dad, kid supposedly destroyed an entire hidden village you know. 1, that shit's not normal even if they were such a weak village. 2, he destroyed an entire village, which means that's one more country pissed at us."

"I'm sure he had a good reason Asuma"

---The very next morning...

As Jin approached the wall of the leaf village. His appearance the same as when he left, never would anyone guess that this child just committed mass murder on such an insane scale. Before he could reach the village 2 ANBU suddenly got in his way.

"Jin Satsujin, the Hokage needs to see you," The ANBU said in a tone leaving no room for response.

Quickly following this ANBU Jin found himself standing before Hiruzen Saurtobi as the ANBU stand behind him.

"Why did you destroy Kuni?"

"They captured me, they were hired by Orochimaru to disrupt relations with Suna and us and kill any leaf ninja they found. Their Kage was going to give me to Sannin Orochimaru. That's why I eliminated them, Lord Third."

"Do you have evidence?"

"If you'll allow me to retrieve it from my storage scroll sir"

"Proceed"

Jin quickly retrieved stacks of papers detailing missions and other instructions from Orochimaru to the Kunigakure administration.

"Sorry for the paperwork sir," Jin says with a small frown.

"No no this is good, uh just expect SS-Rank payment in your ninja account, and good work, your team thinks you died so go see them. Pick any A-Rank jutsu from them library as well when you go to drop off your acquired jutsu,"

Hiruzen says while sifting through the papers and not even sparing a glance at Jin.

'Yeah most of Kunigakure jutsu suck so at least now I get a few more new Jutsu, looks like writing my own bingo book entry paid off huh'

Jin quickly exits the building to go to the library and claim his reward.

After Quickly moving to the library he then makes a small stop at the bank to cash in from his last mission. Collecting all of his earning and adding all the spoils of war to his account he now had enough money to move out of the orphanage.

Making his way to a realtor's office was actually quite easy. Flashing his ninja ID he immediately put a downpayment on a condo and ran off with the keys. Opening his chakra senses he found the person he needed to see first.

Quickly sensing Naruto and rushing over to him, Jin found him leaving his apartment with a backpack on. The sudden appearance of Jin startling Naruto for all of one second before he jumps and hugs him.

"JIN!" the blonde yells almost deafening Jin.

"Hey that's too damn loud, let go of me already" He slowly pries Naruto off him. "I told you I'd be the Hokage didn't I, why would I let death stop me from that, have a little faith."

"I-I,..." Tears began flowing down Naruto's face as he tripped over his words. Slowly Jin enveloped him in a hug and just held the boy there. For Naruto, he lost the first person who didn't treat him like a monster. It must have been a nightmare for him.

"I told you I'd always be here for you didn't I Naruto. Look, I'm still here," Jin says as he pulls back for Naruto to see him, "Where are you going this early?"

"Uh, we. We've got a mission in the land of waves. Sorry I can't spend the day with you Jin."

"Hey it's ok, we'll have lots of time just focus on the mission and stay safe ok, I'll see you when you get back, now get going," Jin says as he pats the boy on the shoulder.

"Alright, I'LL FINISH MY MISSION QUICK!" Naruto says as he runs toward the village gate.
