CHAPTER START---

Jumping between the rooftops, Jin can be seen sprinting at full speed toward the Hyuga Clan compound. Quickly arriving at the gate before the guards he stopped and addressed them.

"Hi there, I'm Jin Satsujin. I'm on Hinata's team, I have important news for her."

As they heard this one of the guards disappeared in a body flicker. Before a minute could even pass he arrived back at the gate. "Follow me," was all the man said as he leads Jin toward Hinata's house. Quickly arriving at the large traditional house, Hinata can be seen waiting nervously on the deck of the house.

"Hi princess," Jin greets her with a smile and a wave.

"JIN!" the girl exclaims as she rushes to hug him.

'Soo glad her stuck-up dad isn't here to give me shit for this'

"Glad to see you're ok Hinata, can you let go now please." He says, as the girl lets go he can see large tears flowing down her face.

"Hey settle down now, I'm not dead, never died ok. I'll explain everything at dinner. Akimichi BBQ, my treat. And I'm inviting team ten, team seven is on a mission right now. That sound good princess?"

"Mhm," The girl meekly nods as she tries to wipe her tears with her kimono.

"Alright, hey when Naruto gets back try to hug him like that alright" Jin says and he disappears in a body flicker from the blushing girl.

'Alright, next stop Kurenai sensei' He thinks to himself before running off.

---Meanwhile with team 7...

"GUYS JIN IS ALIVE!" Naruto yells out as he approaches his team at the gate of the village.

"WHAT!" Sakura yells out while Sasuke just looks at him a bit confused.

"Oh, you finally found out huh, I guess he's back" Kakashi pipes up with his face in his usual book.

"YOU KNEW?" Naruto asks the man.

"It got reported in the bingo book 2 days ago, wasn't sure if it was real so I didn't want to get your hopes up. Here look at his bounty." He says as he hands them the book from his pouch.

They all take a minute to read over the page of the book and an obvious silence hangs over the group for a moment.

"This can't be real right?" Sasuke is the first to ask.

"Bingo book info is only submitted by Kage or someone of a similar rank. And our feelers have confirmed that where the village once stood on a plateau on the lake, the plateau isn't even there anymore. It's legit," Kakashi tells them as he lowers his book to get a look at their faces.

Naruto looks like he isn't sure if to be sad or happy. Sasuke looks angry. And Sakura looks completely depressed.

"You aren't the only people working toward a goal, and looks like you've got some catching up to do if you want to call him a rival, the client is here. Let's get our mission started" Kakashi says as he leaves his team behind while walking toward the bridge builder.

---Later that night, Outside Akimichi BBQ...

Standing outside this restaurant, team Kurenai can be seen waiting for Team Asuma before going inside.

"Hey sensei do you have any summons?" Jin asked Kurenai from completely out of nowhere.

"Uh, no I haven't made any contracts, as a genjutsu specialist drawn outfights that usually require them isn't my specialty, would you like to learn the summoning jutsu?"

"No I've already got one, but I was curious about if one ninja can sign multiple contracts at once, like if I wanted to sign maybe a toad contract in the future, just as an example"

"Ohh, you really are a Jiraiya fan huh, well if he ever comes to the village you can ask him... hey what do you mean you've got a summon!"

"Oh, um... it kind of just happened," He says as he awkwardly scratches his cheek.

"Hmph, you're supposed to ask me to learn that kind of thing" Kurenai whines as she does her best to fake a pout.

"That kind of pouting only works for Asuma sensei," Jin says in a deadpanned voice as he blankly looks at the woman.

"Ah, hey!" Kurenai says with an obvious blush on her face.

"Oh did someone call for me?" Asuma says as he appears next to the group.

"Oh, hey it's been a while Asu---" Mid greeting Jin is completely cut off as a blonde blob is suddenly blocking his view. To everyone's complete surprise Ino is hugging him. As he feels wet tears spilling onto him Jin is unsure what to do. Looking at the people around him he saw their jounin senseis smiling at them. 'WHAT THE FUCK! WHEN DID INO GET LIKE THIS TOWARD ME!... well, actually" he thinks before raising his hands and returning the hug, 'Teen Ino is pretty hot so maybe, mhm' as a few more seconds pass Jin decides to tease the girl, "If you hold me any tighter people will think we're dating," he softly whispers into her ear.

For a moment her body completely freezes... before her hold tightens a bit more. After a few more seconds she finally breaks the hug and wordlessly walks inside. Jin is left staring blankly at Asuma for any kind of guidance, receiving only a shrug in response. 'Thanks a lot, you manage to get Kurenai but can't spare me any advice, ugh.'

Finally seated around the large table with meat grilling in the middle, a somewhat awkward silence fell over everyone as they all looked to Jin.

"What?" He asked, playing oblivious as always.

"Well, maybe the people who thought you were dead and later found out you destroyed a shinobi village have some questions kid," Asuma says, words drenched in sarcasm.

"Alright alright, so the fireball hit, they captured me. I broke out of my cell and raised hell in the village. Seems pretty simple." Jin replied casually.

"Uh-huh, a genin with multi shadow clone, substitution, shunshin, Great fireball, and Water wall decimates an entire village and we aren't supposed to bat an eye?" Kurenai says giving him an unimpressed look with his story.

"Uh-huh, that checks out to me" Jin replies as he takes a sip of his drink.

*BANG*

Slamming her fist on the table, all the drinks jump into the air before landing once more, Kurenai gets more serious with her questions "TELL US WHAT HAPPENED! WE THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD DAMNIT!" With her face red from anger, nobody ever expected that kind of outburst from the usually timid kunoichi.

"Mmm, fine fine. BUT, none of this leaves this table. That means no telling daddy Asuma sensei," Jin finishes as he meets Asuma's gaze.

"As long as you aren't endangering the village kid"

"Alright, well. After the fireball I stayed under the water and followed them back to the fortress, nothing added up and I was right. After some, mild questioning I learned that someone had been manipulating their kage, also did you guys know Kakashi sensei is so much stronger than average jounin. Those guys folded like wet paper."

"Everyone knows Kakashi is strong" Asuma quickly answered.

"Alright well, I killed some of their patrols, took their ID, and infiltrated the village. Went into the library to shop for scrolls then went and killed the Kage and impersonate him, his files had bribes from Orochimaru and they were helping to fund his inhumane experiments in exchange for soldiers. They were also disrupting Konoha ninja near their border or in their land."

"Orochimaru, no wonder lord Hokage didn't even punish you."

" Yeah well after that I went to their temple and spoke to the priestess, got confirmation that their snake guardian is actually dead and her voice causes it to reanimate to fight for them, so I just killed her and destroyed the village after I took all their files, then came back here and got my first SS-Rank mission officially complete, easy really," Jin says in a casual tone as he puts some meat on his plate.

"SS-RANK?!" everyone was shocked at this revelation.

"Oh, did I not mention that before, yeah that's why dinner is on me"

"How did you decimate a village though, you conveniently left that out, and transformation uses constant chakra, they would have felt that," Asuma questions.

To answer his question Jin transforms into Asuma, "Can you feel anything, or even spot a difference" he says as he leans in.

After a long minute of everyone focusing on him, to their surprise, they can't feel anything.

"That's impossible, is this a Kekkei Genkai?" Kurenai questions.

"Nope, transformation is only noticeable when excess chakra leaks out, and my chakra control has always been---"

"Perfect" Shikamaru finishes for him, "But something still doesn't add up. What did you use to destroy their entire village, not even the foundations remained."

"Oh, that's none of your business now is it, how does your shadow possession work. If you're willing to trade info then I'll tell you," Jin replied with a wolfish smile on his face.

"Secret technique huh"

"Mine is, you not so much, if I was good with Ying chakra I could do it, but Yang is more my thing, like the Akimichi" As he said this Choji almost choked on his food. "Don't worry I'm not dumb enough to copy clan jutsu, I like living."

"Would this be the secret jutsu you used to beat Kakashi?" Asuma asked.

"Nope, to beat him I just kept him off guard. His chakra capacity sucks so I just kept stalling him out. Never would have worked against him in a real fight obviously,"

"You know, I picked you and registered us as a tracking team but now I'm thinking search and destroy, what do you guys think?" Kurenai asked.

As her genin looked toward each other and shared a look, she received three nods in response.

"When is our next mission sensei? I've got like, I think maybe 20 more seals to go then I should be ready,"

"20 more seals?" Ino asked.

"Uh-huh, my water dragon is down to 24 from 44 seals. A day or two here where I don't have to keep moving should be enough,"

"..." Jin was only met with silence at this particular revelation. This time he genuinely was unsure of what he did.

"Fucking prodigies" Asuma coldly muttered with a grim look on his face as he drank his sake.

"Yeah," Kurenai said as she copied his behavior.
