"It tricked us?" Krov added, his eyes darting around frantically.
They were strong, yet in the face of an unknown threat, their strength was overshadowed by their own fear.
During their time as a mercenary group, they were both feared and revered by the common folk, with even some of the lower-ranked warriors fearing them.
They had never failed a request; their coordination, coupled with their skills, made them a force to reckon with, not to mention their psychopath of a leader.
But now, that coordination and skill proved useless in front of a being that could not die. Their confidence completely shattered, replaced by fear. Fear that made Ossa seem stronger than he really was.
