Power over certification.
"...I have made my first mana ring... Mana ring?!... That means we can get out of here " Bel exclaimed, an idea popping in her head.
During all that chaos, she was able to create her first mana ring, a ring thicker than most as it had enough mana to rival a mage with three mana rings.
The mana rings entail how much control one has over the mana outside as well as the mana in their body. People with a single mana ring are not supposed to be strong, as their mana pool is low and their control over mana is extremely limited.
But Bel was different; she had the mana pool of a tier five mage, and thus the power she could wield was close to that of a tier five mage. Unfortunately, spells took into account not the amount of mana but the circles, which were like certifications to do something.
One cannot create a fire out of nothing until they are at least tier two, as they do not have certification to do so.
