36 Chapter 36 Ethaan Nori, Fiance!

When Althea opened her eyes, what greeted her vision was the unfamiliar ceiling above her head. She was lying on the bed, a warm quilt covering her. Blinking her eyes, Althea looked around the room. There was no one inside the room. She slowly got up from the bed a little confused.

She remembered being saved by a mysterious man in masked before losing her consciousness. She could hardly believe that there would be someone who wanted to save her when everyone tried to kill her and snatch away the flame dragon.

Thinking about that man, Althea was quite confused. She had never come across that man in both her lifetimes. And from the way he was able to block off Grandmaster Lothian's attack, his strength should not be below peak Divine level. Thinking about all the experts and well-known figures from the central region, no one could match that masked man.

Besides, the words she heard from the man were quite disturbing.

Althea frowned. 'what was that all about' thought Althea rubbing her temples.

As Althea was trying to figure out the man's identity, the door was slowly pushed open and the man in masked walked in. His footsteps were very light, seeing that Althea had woke up, he gave a faint smile, "awake!"

Althea saw a tall man wearing a black robe embroidered with golden threads slowly walked towards her. His inky black hair cascaded down from his shoulders to chest. There wasn't a piece of accessory on his hair. He was wearing a silver mask and on it were carved designs of a vine-like plant. The masked covered half of his face but looking at his exposed mouth and chin which were in perfect shape, one could tell that he has a peerless appearance underneath the masked.

The man looked like an immortal strolling a mundane world in passing.

Althea looked at the masked man with a perplexed emotion.

Looking at the confused girl before him who seemed to be a little guarded, the man put on an amiable smile, "You don't need to be guarded against me"

After saying that he reached out to grab Althea's hand and checked her pulse which startled Althea.

"You seemed to be fully recovered now", said the man.

Althea was still in a stupor.

Looking at Althea who was acting like a lost cat, the man chucked lightly, "Not done looking at me! Are you perhaps bewitched by me"

Althea immediately realized that her gaze was still on the man's face. Not knowing what to do or say, Althea, moved her gaze away from the man and lightly coughed.

"Thank you for saving me. Even though I don't know who you are or why you saved me, this time I owe you a favor", Althea said sincerely.

"You don't need to", said the man as he walked towards the table and poured a cup of tea. Holding the teacup, he turned around and walked back to Althea, "Here, first drink this. I will ask the maids to make a bowl of congee. You were unconscious for three days"

"What!" Althea shouted.

"I was unconscious for three whole days!", Althea couldn't help but widened her eyes.

"Yes, it's been three days", said the man casually as he walked towards the door and said something to someone outside the door before turning to look at Althea.

Quickly gulping down the tea, Althea hurriedly got up from the bed, " This won't do. I should leave"

Calculating the days she spent in the Hollow Mountain range and the three days she was unconscious, Althea had been away for over half a month already. She didn't want her mother and grandfather to worry too much about her. What if they went searching for her in the mountains!

Noticing the anxious look on Althea's face, the man said, "you should first fill your stomach before leaving"

"No need, I am not hungry," said Althea. But as soon as she said that, her stomach started growling. Althea couldn't help but curse inwardly. She lost her face at the moment. Before she reached the High level, she needs to eat and sleep like a normal person.

"Listen to me. The food will be arriving now. You should wash up. After you fill your stomach, I will personally drop you. What do you say!", said the man as if he was coaxing a child.

Althea was caught off guard by the tender tone of the man and subconsciously nodded her head.

She went to the washroom and started to wash up. Meantime she couldn't help but frown. She was the former sovereign of the Hall of Mage, she had come across many people with status, wealth, and peerless countenance but never once had she lost her composure. But today, she felt like a little child in front of the man who saved her and kept losing her composure.

After she was done washing up, Althea put on a new dress that was prepared for her in advance and went out.

Coming out from the washroom, Althea noticed that the food had arrived and the man was already seated.

Noticing that Althea had come out, the man ladled a bowl of congee and said, "Here, come and take a seat"

"Thank you", Althea said as she sat down and started digging in.

"I still don't know the name of my benefactor. Can I be bold enough to ask your name", said Althea looking at the man seated across her.

"Ethaan Nori," said the man.

Althea subconsciously creased her brows after hearing the man's name.

The man looked at Althea's reaction and couldn't help but feel amused.

"You should be thinking that it's quite rare, right!", said Ethaan.

"I have never heard of your Surname", said Althea.

Ethaan nodded his head, "it's not surprising that you haven't heard of it"

After saying that, Ethaan waved his hand, a four-spatial bracelet appeared on the table.

Althea was taken aback by Ethaan's sudden action but when she saw the spatial bracelet, her pupils constricted.

"You killed them!", asked Althea with her eyes wide open.

"Isn't this already proof that I killed them! I have erased the soul mark on all the spatial bracelets. You can take them. There are some valuable things inside that could aid you in improving your strength", said Ethaan casually. Without even batting an eye he is giving all the spoils to Althea.

The four spatial bracelets belong to Grandmaster Lothian, Lady Tsiru, Lord Sovyo, and Guffian.

Shaking her head like a rattle drum, Althea said, "No, you were the one who killed them. All the spoils should belong to you besides you even saved me. Even though I don't know the reason why you save me, if it were not for you, I would have been long dead by now"

Ethaan shook his head and without saying anything took out an exquisite black spatial bracelet from his storage and after that, he put all the bracelets into the black spatial bracelet. Then he reached out to grab Althea's wrist and carefully put it on while Althea was looking at him in a daze.

"Do I need a reason to save my fiancee"
