Avoiding the past

The Jones family was having breakfast in the morning. Housekeeper Long served them and everyone ate while chatting.

"You don't have to go to work everyday what do you know about office job and overtime work!" Andrew bit on his bread and said.

"My work schedule is even more tough that yours. What do you know about the necessities for a acting!" Angel replied sipping on her juice.

"Its enough for now. Every profession has their requirements you don't have be worried about it." Mrs. Jones said in a tone that allowed no further discussion.

"Haha! The kids came after so many days let them banter for a bit." Anthen tried to intervene. A cold glare from his wife made him shut up. The siblings helplessly glanced at each other. Their mother's professor's aura was enough for them to compel her.

After breakfast they all headed to their respective work place. Kelly drove Angel to the company. Since Angel's workload wasn't that much she was able to go home in the afternoon.

Angel was laying on the couch while browsing her social networking sites. She replied to some of her fan's comments and chatted a bit with her friends. She was having a rare moment of relaxation after her rebirth.

A message popped up saying, 'Are you free on this weekend'.

As soon as she saw the sender her complex darkened. It was Brycen! Staring at the contents her hands shook almost dropping her phone.

Taking a deep breath she replied, 'Not really, I am busy.'

On the other end of the phone, a man with golden brown hair and wearing a rimless glass was leaning against his office chair. At one glance he would look like a perfect gentleman. He looked at the reply with some surprise. In the past as long as he asked to meet up Angel always made time, never replying so casually.

'Never mind. I just wanted to meet you since we were both busy during this month. A new french restaurant has opened and I heard thay its good. Tell me when you have time and we can go there.'

Angel looked at the reply for a long time. This restaurant was mainly designated for couples and she thought Brycen wanted to confess. Till the end of dinner he never took any initiative so she was the one to confess. He accepted and their relationship started. She was so happy that she announced it in front of her family the next day and they were happy for her as well. Who wouldn't? Brycen was the perfect gentleman in front of them.

Coming out of her memories she felt wetness on her cheek. Wiping it off she replied and threw her phone aside.

'Sorry my schedule is too tight now. I will make it up for it later. Goodbye.'

Brycen looked at the message, shrugged then continued with his work.
