Alex walked out of the door into the Spirit Association. The employees and most people were already accustomed to this phenomenon. However, the players and some NPCs had never seen this phenomenon. When they went to ask people why a door appeared out of nowhere, they explained that it was from the promotion quests. Of course, everyone in the lobby, including the employees, was shocked when the bright amethyst light spilled out. They were even more shocked when they saw the bright blue numbers above the door. A few people couldn't help but mutter in disbelief,

"100? 100 on a hero's promotion quest?"

"Isn't that impossible?"

That's when most of the people woke up from the shock and yelled in excitement,

"Woohoo! A new Hero has been born!"

"Humanity has been granted a Hero in this era!"

"Haha!"

The people in the lobby, at least the humans, were celebrating with laughter. They hadn't had a hero that was human in a few centuries. The other races, on the other hand, were alarmed. A hero being born usually signifies a major power increase and chaos in the world. The people of other races were contacting their superiors, informing them of humanity's hero birth. Of course, Alex wasn't exactly a hero, nor was he on the side of humanity fully. He didn't really care much about who he was dealing with as long as a profit was made. Alex just ignored the commotion and headed to the counter. At the moment, no one was in line because of the commotion, and he was able to easily reach the receptionist. He didn't hesitate to ask,

"Can I have my Associate Mark? Also, how much did my items sell for?"

"Well, your items sold for a total of 3,600 gold. This is after the auction house's proceeds. Also, please show me your hand so I can give you your mark."

Alex held his hand onto the counter, and the receptionist dropped a drop of white liquid onto his hand. His hand glowed with the symbol of the association, a wheel showcasing all of the elements. The symbol was blinking until it fully disappeared. The receptionist smiled and explained,

"This symbol will serve as proof of your membership with the Spirit Association. At the moment, you're at level White and have no benefits yet. You can advance your color by completing commissions."

"Thank you for the explanation."

"Hehe, of course, hero."

"I'm no hero, and I'm sure you know that."

"I do. However, you have the potential to become one."

"Well, I would also like to put some gold up for sale. I'll put 2,000 on the market."

"Alright, I'll put that up for you. Have a good day, sir!"

"You too."

Alex left the counter 1,600 gold richer. At the moment, he had 12,600 gold. He couldn't help but smile gleefully about the harvest he had gotten from the promotion quest. Now it was time to spend it all. He needed to create something that could serve as a money generator. He had plans on making a shop; however, it was too early for that. So he did the next best thing, sell to a specific client. However, before he did anything like that, he first went to the bank. The bank was surprisingly empty, and he was able to talk to an employee quite quickly. The employee asked what Alex needed, and he explained that he wanted to withdraw some money. He withdrew all the money from his deal and gained another 400 gold. He then opened a private warehouse so he could store items and no one could access them but him. He went to the warehouse and stored the items he didn't need that were cluttering his storage ring. He left the warehouse and began to head to an Inn. He rented a room and logged out of the game.

Alex got out of the VR pod and looked at his bank account. When selling gold, the credits would automatically be transferred to your bank account. At the moment, he'd already gained over 200,000. He had made around 100 credits for every gold coin. Of course, he didn't have any plans on doing this again anytime soon. He first paid off the loan he had taken for the VR pod and house. He was left with 90,000 credits, more than enough for his next plans. He had wanted to recruit the first person who had advanced to tier 1 into his guild. In the past timeline, he went on to become a powerhouse. With the higher-ranked class in the beginning, his class was always more advanced than the other players. With every increase in tier, the class evolved into something players weren't able to get at that time. So he needed to get his attention; he posted a message on the forum with a single message. He knew that eventually he would message me, and all I had to do was wait. In the meantime, he decided to go and pester one of his potential recruits. Alex went to the school to look for Mia; as it was currently school hours, she should be there. The school day was almost done; however, Alex was having problems getting to Mia. He was in the front office, arguing with one of the school staff.

"You can't just disrupt a class!"

"I'm not going to disrupt the class; I'm just going to go sit in."

"That's not how school works! Even if you get permission from the dean, you can't just go into a class that already started!"

"Fine! Then I would like to talk to the dean."

"You can't just ask to speak to the dean! You have to set up an appointment. He is a very busy man."

"No, it's fine Viv. Let him into my office."

Viv looked behind her to see an old man wearing a black suit. He still stood up tall, and he was wearing a pair of golden-rimmed glasses. He had a military badge that signified he is or was in the military. Alex wasn't too familiar with the military. He walked into the office that the dean was in front of and saw how tidy it was. The office was extremely clean; the books were neatly stacked, the pencils were evenly sharpened. Alex sat down on the chair in front of the desk. When the dean sat down across from him, he said,

"So you want to meet with Mia, is that correct?"

"Yes, it is."

"Why would you like to do that?"

"We're old friends, and recently we've begun to catch up with each other."

"…I see."

A few seconds later, a woman walked into the dean's office and handed him a stack of papers. She then quickly left without saying a word. The dean took a few seconds to look over the papers and said,

"Alex Morning, an orphan. You've already got enough credits to graduate high school and are just waiting for the end of the year. You moved to this city not long ago; however, I must say I'm surprised. I can't find anything before you were 10 and adopted by a Kin Miyer. Although judging by the things we found in his house a year ago, I doubt you had a fun time there."

"Shut the fuck up."
