23 Ice magic

Rudy and Sylphy are now inside his room, the next agenda would be teaching her melded magic. He decided to teach her ice because scorch and boil are too dangerous and they might disturb his two sisters.

Rudy activate his Scarlet Sharingan and observe her when she intends to do ice magic. He saw that her mana flow was confused and still didn't know if they would turn into water or wind nature.

He saw that beads are starting to release in her forehead while trying so hard to produce ice magic. Sylphy maybe still not yet prepared to learn this kind of magic.

So he intervened and explain to her how ice works. With Rudy's easy to understand teachings, and Sylphy's hardworking trait, she can now produce Ice magic.

Then Sylphy started to produce many ice sculptures, but to make the room still spacious, he used his Scorch magic to make the ice instantly evaporate. Despite of Sylphy's interest to learn Scorch magic, he didn't teach it to her because he wants her to focus on one melded magic first.

While she was still continuously creating ball made out of ice, Rudy still thinking deeply about his own training. Lately, because he was busy at taking care his sisters, he rarely trains his inheritances.

From the surface, he may achieve what kids wouldn't before he became a young adult. But he couldn't help but feel that he really hit a bottle neck.

Though he is now a haki user, Rudy couldn't use his conqueror haki. He couldn't open his fourth gate due to his underdeveloped body.

Despite the fact that he achieve at unlocking all of his Cursed Chains, Rudy didn't have an opportunity to try his Chain Jail and Judgement Chain, besides, he also don't know when will he materialized his Zanpakuto.

This is the disadvantage of living in a peaceful environment, the opportunity to become stronger is nigh compared to the battlefield or dangerous environment.

He can also tell that Sylphy slowly but surely becomes stronger at him in magic department and in haki, after all, she already activated the conqueror haki once, unlike him. And she was starting to learn Ice Magic today, it feels that he needs to step up so he can now move forward.

That's why he decided to tell her that Rudy plans to go to Ranoa University. Sylphy however refused greatly and hugged him tightly. Due to her fragrance and her crying eyes, he decided to make Sylphy also go with Ranoa University, making Sylphy embrace him more.

While the two was still in the trance, they didn't realize that an adult was watching them while holding a letter.

*clears throat* "Rudy, you really are sinful child." Paul intentionally makes his loud voice to disturb this two love birds. To think that they are already in this stage, Rudy really might push Sylphy into the floor and do some indecent things, like what he did before.

"Kyaa!" Sylphy suddenly become nervous and immediately push Rudy, making him sit on the floor forcefully.

"Oouuch! This might probably leave a mark..." His butt hurts due to impact.

"Oh no! Rudy, I'm sorry..." She immediately assist him to make his stand and Sylphy also brushed his butt so the pain will go away.

"Uhmmm... Sylphy... You don't have to do that, dad is watching you know..." Though he likes it when she touch his butt, he's still embarrassed because Paul looks at him, still stunned.

"Okay... But really, sorry for pushing you down." She didn't much a choice, because she knows that they're doing embarrassing a while ago.

"No Sylphy, you didn't do wrong. The one's at fault here is Dad since he didn't know how to knock." Rudy pushed all the blame to his dad once again.

"Really! You two are been busy and didn't hear my knock, you know? So I decided to use the key because I'm worried that something might happen to you two. And here I thought you two are doing magic training... Maybe, honey need to know about this?" Paul was shamelessly trying to scare his son for once.

"Tsk! Okay fine... We really doing something embarrassing here, and I made her do it... So why are you disturbing our quality time?" Rudy gave up and let his dad win in there bickering.

Paul then gave him the letter. Rudy saw that this letter came from Roxy, his first love. He couldn't wait to see her again. When Sylphy looks at Rudy's grinning face, she was now pouting because this letter might come from a woman. And her suspicions are correct.

The letter contains about Roxy has been hired as a home tutor in the Shirone Kingdom. She was also Water king ranked magician and capable to do voiceless incantation in water only. She also tells him how much she miss Rudy and couldn't wait to meet him again

Paul and Sylphy now looks at Rudy, still confused because he was suddenly stunned after he read the letter.

Rudy didn't mind the stare of the two and immediately get a pen and paper to make a reply letter.

He write everything about his experience after she left, like how he found a new friend, the incidents of the Greyrat household, and most importantly, his family become big when Norn and Aisha was born.

But he didn't write anything about his magic training, after all, he rarely use it and Rudy only focuses to use his inheritances. He might become a unique adventurer when the time comes. For now, he needs to think it deeply on how to achieve breakthrough and harness his hidden powers.

He also added to the letter:

[P.S. You still have a place in my heart and I always look at the amulet thinking of you.]

Rudy was done writing his reply letter and he realized that his Dad and his only friend still there in his room, only staring at him.

"Hehehe, I just get excited because this is the first time that Teacher Roxy gave me a letter." Rudy hoped that his excuse is acceptable to them.

Paul, whose face was smirking, and Sylphy, whose eyebrows are creasing, didn't really buy his excuse but they didn't pursue it either. After that, Rudy accompanied Sylphy to her house so she won't be late in there dinner.
