Emma Roberts woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside her window. She blinked, momentarily disoriented, before the events of the previous night came rushing back. She had done it. She had escaped Logan Black's mansion and was finally free.

She stretched, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. The small room she had rented in a quaint bed-and-breakfast was a far cry from the opulence of Logan's estate, but it felt like a haven to her. She had no plans of going back. She had to stay strong and move forward.

A few minutes later, the door of the café swung open, and Alice walked in. She spotted Emma and rushed over, her face filled with concern. "Emma, what happened? Are you okay?"

Emma stood up and hugged Alice tightly. "I'm okay now, thanks to you. I just need to figure out what to do next."

Alice pulled back and looked Emma in the eyes. "We'll figure it out together. You're not alone in this."

Emma felt a surge of gratitude. She knew she could count on Alice. Together, they sat down and began to brainstorm. Alice suggested they go to her apartment for privacy, and Emma agreed.

Back at Alice's apartment, Emma explained everything that had happened. Alice listened attentively, her expression growing more serious with each passing detail. When Emma finished, Alice nodded resolutely.

"First things first," Alice said. "We need to make sure Logan can't find you. We'll change your phone number and get you a new ID. I know a guy who can help with that."

Emma felt a sense of hope. "Thank you, Alice. I don't know what I would do without you."

Alice smiled. "That's what friends are for. Now, let's get to work."

Over the next few days, Emma and Alice worked tirelessly to secure Emma's new identity. They changed her phone number, set up a new email account, and even got her a new ID with a different name.
