Memorial

After the cooperation was achieved, Henry and Soeharto decided to hold a celebration party at 4 pm before Henry went back to the US. As time now is only 1 pm, Henry decided to walk around Jakarta with Elise.

Soeharto, of course, didn't object Henry wish. He even ordered Soetopo to be their driver temporarily. With Soeharto approval, they quickly set off.

Even though Henry already visited Jakarta in the future, but due to the time difference, everything that he knows is not the same yet. So this can be called the first time Henry toured Jakarta.

The same with Elise, even though she is born and live here for her entire life, she never walked around Jakarta properly due to her condition. So naturally, she was excited at the prospect of touring Jakarta, especially with Henry beside her.

"Where are we going, Mr. Henry ?" Soetopo asked.

"Well, we go to the National Monument first," Henry replied.

As the National Monument only about 300 meters from the palace, they quickly arrived with only 1 minute of the drive.

"Soetopo, is there a camera? I want you to capture a photo of my fiancee, and I stand beneath the monument." Henry asked.

"Please wait a moment, Mr. Henry. I will let my people get it immediately." Soetopo replied immediately as Soeharto already implied he must satisfy any of Henry request as long it was reasonable.

As the camera was not ready yet, Henry and Elise decided to go up to the monument peak with the lift. Different from the future where all kind of people can go to the peak by only paid a little money. Now only authorized personnel can go up the monument.

So there's only Henry and Elise alone at the peak as the staff already left to give the guest privacy.

Elise already changed her high heel with a flat lady shoe before departed from the palace to facilitate her movement. She immediately ran around the facility to saw what's there. Henry laughed when he saw Elise childish behavior.

Elise disappointed when she found there is nothing here. So she just walked to the balcony to observed Jakarta scenery. Luckily the weather is now cloudy, so she didn't have to fear struck by a sunburn.

Elise suddenly felt Henry was hugging her. His broad and warm chest quickly made Elise loosened her guard.

Elise quietly leaned her head toward Henry. She can hear his powerful heartbeat. She felt a strange feeling crept on her body, which strangely comfortable.

"Beautiful, isn't it? In just another 6 hours, you will leave this city and country that gave birth to you and possibly never returned." Henry suddenly said while he was looking toward the horizon

"Do you want to know something, dear ?" Elise asked back.

"Hmmm," Henry nodded.

"I still feel that this is a dream, a dream that so beautiful that I didn't want to wake up," Elise said while snuggled on Henry's chest.

"Do you still remembered that night when you took my virginity ?" Elise said while pinched Henry soft spot.

"Oouchh" Henry whimpered in pain.

"Luckily, I'm a good and benevolent girl. So I decided to forgive you." Elise smiled proudly.

Henry just silently heard Elise blabbering as he knew that Elise needs to released her feeling that trapped inside herself.

Elise released herself from Henry hug and walk to the balcony edge.

"Even though I was born and raised in this country, but I never think that this is my home country. Everything here seems so foreign to me, and no one truly knew my true self.

It was until you came, Henry. Even though we were technically a stranger two days ago, but I already assumed you as my only dependence.

I had no relative or someone close anymore as they all died!" Elise tear can't help but fell when she said that.

Henry stepped forward and rubbed Elise tear with his thumb gently.

"Don't worry. I will be your most powerful dependence. I will never be left you alone again, and this is my promise, and it will always be valid until I, Henry William, died!" Henry then lifts Elise's chin and lightly kiss her.

Then both of them was looking at the scenery of Jakarta that's still in its infancy.

After 30 minutes, Henry and Elise decided to come down as the weather starts to show the sign of rain. They want to get their photo captured first to serve as the memorial for the future.

"Mr. Henry, the camera was ready, do we took the photo now ?" Soetopo hurriedly approached Henry and Elise who just out of the elevator.

"Yes, I think it will rain soon, so we must hurry up." Then they immediately go to the designated photo spot.

With the monument as the background, Henry and Elise do various pose for the photo. As time is limited, the camera that Soetopo brought can only take 20 pictures. So the photo session quickly finished in just 10 minutes.

But both Henry and Elise already satisfied as that are already enough. 

"Mr. Henry, where are we going next ?" Soetopo asked respectfully.

Henry looked at the sky and found it was already very dark.

"Unfortunately it seems mother nature didn't want me to travel for today. Let's get back to the palace then." Henry said.

As if the mother nature answered him, a drop of water hit Henry face. Before Henry can wipe it, his face hit by the second, third, and soon it was raining.

"Get the car, Soetopo. I will wait there." Henry pointed a tree as he quickly held Elise's hand and start to ran.

Then Henry and Elise were running as fast as they can to the tree that Henry pointed earlier. Alas, even when they arrived there, their whole body already wet from the rain.

"Pfftttt… Hahahaha." Henry starts to laugh when he saw Elise face right now. It was a mess as her simple makeup torn off because of the water.

"Why are you laughing ?" Elise suspiciously asked.

Henry didn't answer. Instead, he was rubbing her face with his clothes. Elise quickly noticed what's going on, so she promptly washes her face with the rainwater.

After cleaned her face, Elise glared toward Henry.

2 minutes later, the car finally came. Henry and Elise quickly entered the vehicle.
