The next day Xiao Ni went to orphanages and socializing about her foundation program. She's quite busy that day. Han Li said she only need to spread official letters to all the orphanages. But Xiao Ni wanted to visit each orphanage and scan them one by one.

"So, what did he say?" Xiao Ni could hear how much hope she has right now. It makes her felt guilty for breaking the news to her.

"He said that he wants to focus on his career now. He did not want to go on a date. I'm sorry, Ye Na." Xiao Ni apologized sincerely.

Ye Na did not say anything on the other side makes Xiao Ni felt unpleasant. She knew how it feels to be rejected by someone. Wang Kai does that to her so many times before he becomes today.

Xiao Ni furrowed her eyebrow. Her question sounds weird. "What do you mean? I just apologized to him for the article thingy and said that you would like to go on date with him." Xiao Ni answers truthfully.

Ye Na silenced once again on the phone. Xiao Ni waited for her answer, but she could only hear a disappointed sigh over the phone.

"Ye Na, don't be sad. You will get over it. You know I've been rejected more in the past." She attempts to cheer her up.

"You know it was different. Senior Wang always has a soft spot for you. You marry each other at the end."

"It's okay. It's alright. I'll get over it." Ye Na said in low spirit before she bid goodbye to Xiao Ni. Xiao Ni did the same and close the call afterward. Xiao Ni keeps thinking about Ye Na along the way. In the end, Xiao Ni forgets about it when she arrived at the next orphanage.

Seating on her soft bed, Ye Na put down her phone and throw her head up to the ceiling. She's been so blessed to have everything back. Her family slowly making a comeback in society and she did not have to work as a waitress anymore.

She's been too happy that she forgot how it feels to be disappointed.

She huffed and the images of Song Wei Long's cold faces appear on her mind. He was really handsome. But what makes her fall for him is the moment when he smiles when he told her about his work.

It was a priceless smile and moments for her.

She knew he would break her heart eventually. But she stupidly hangs herself into that thin ropes, just because of a tiny hope when she saw how he looks at Xiao Ni.

There are the same passionate and sparkle eyes he had when he talks about saving people. She thought, if she works hard and approach him first, maybe he could look at her that way too.

She wanted to close her eyes to stop herself from crying when her phone rang. She searches her phone with her right hand and answers the call without reading the caller.

"Hallo, Ye Na, it's me, Bai Jing. Er... can you come to visit me?" There is a hard blow for Ye Na when she heard such a familiar voice. Her heart sank when she heard her next sentence.

"I'm so lonely here," she whispered.

"I miss you. I miss us." Bai Jing whispers through the phone. So small that Ye Na almost did not catch her words. The last barrier she had tarnished when Bai Jing said she misses them.

She misses them too. Bai Jing, Ye Na, Xiao Ni, and Imperial high school. It was the best time of her life, she wanted to go back to that time so bad. She wanted to have her friendship back.

"Alright, I'll visit you." She agrees in the end.
