Royal Encounters: Conflicts of the Continents

Early in the morning, the first rays of the sun gently caressed Mortis's face and gently woke him. Shiva, still sleeping deeply in his arms, seemed unaffected by the rising sun. So Mortis decided to slowly detach himself from her and go to the bathroom to freshen up. As soon as he entered the bathroom, he heard the soft sound of footsteps behind him. Mortis recognized the person immediately, but pretended not to notice and strode forward happily. The servants, noticing that Mortis was on his way to the bath, immediately set about lighting the stoves and warming the water.

As soon as Mortis stepped into the water and sat facing the door, it opened slowly and rather quietly. Marina tried to sneak in stealthily. With her back to Mortis, she tried to close the door when Mortis said gleefully, "Do you want to keep up this acting, or are you coming into the water now?" Marina startled slightly, pushed the door shut and smiled at Mortis as she turned around. The latter beckoned her to join him. Marina nodded in a friendly manner, dropped her covers and moved coquettishly towards Mortis.

At the same time, Shiva awoke and wondered where her husband was. She wiped the sleep from her eyes. Still tired, she looked out of the room. When she saw servants whispering, she became alert and curious. Unnoticed, she stood next to them, startling her private servants. The servants nervously asked what was going on, but curiously the queen asked what there was to whisper about. Nervously, one servant said, "The master is in the bathroom, but it seems he is not alone. I'm sorry, mistress." But Shiva just turned wearily to her room and shrugged her shoulders, saying, "I'll meet Leonie then." The servants were surprised and quickly followed to help the queen wash and dress.

So Leonie and Shiva met in the study, and Shiva listened to what had been going on and what Leonie was up to. To Shiva's surprise, there were small models of houses everywhere and many city maps. Shiva was surprised at how quickly and consistently Leonie implemented what Mortis wanted. Her precise work spoke for itself, and so there was not much to discuss, but rather to look at and study plans and models. Leonie, who was younger than Shiva, could be called a genius in urban planning and politics, going far beyond her limits to rebuild or expand a good city. For not only were there plans of Rome, but also other small cities where notes were recorded. No sooner had Shiva read into Leonie's work than the other women came and dragged them both out of the room to have breakfast with them. Shiva was surprised when she saw Lumina; she thought she was the one taking a bath with Mortis, but when Mortis joined them with Marina, Shiva was surprised. As it seemed, all the women were foxes.

When Mortis arrived, he was immediately approached and surprised by many counts and barons of the middle races who tried to introduce him to their kings or friends. Mortis did not know what was going on, but he followed one after another to make contacts. It should be helpful to make contacts with nobles of the other races so that when he travels again and roams their lands, he will always have a safe anchor.

But no sooner did Mortis walk a little with his women than more people entered through the portal. With loud voices and unmistakable phonetics, these were conversing, and as it seemed, it was the Emperor Kha Lamar with three kings of his continent. The high-spirited people, especially the emperor, looked at the women in front of them and said mockingly, "It seems that the other continent has first-class goods. It's about time they were finally led by a man of greatness." The three other kings nodded and laughed as if the emperor were telling a magnificent joke, but it did not suit Mortis at all.

He stopped and looked at this tall man and was disappointed. As it seemed, he was no taller than 5'7" and had a Napoleon complex. But the cocky emperor tried to make his way through Mortis' women, knocking over Kathrin and Jasmin in the process. In doing so, he had done exactly what Mortis needed. Fire ignited, full of rage, he turned to the emperor, grabbed him by the neck in front of all the nobles, and lifted him upward. "You son of a bitch, you better watch where you're going or I'm going to dwarf shoot you today, you oh-so-great man." Shock flashed in the emperor's eyes. Unaware of what he was doing, he looked at the women being helped up and with the last of his air, squeezed out an "I'm sorry." Mortis didn't want to let him go at first, but then decided to let him fall, so the Emperor of the Sands fell on his butt and now had to look Mortis in the eye from even further down. Mortis said in a serious voice, while his eyes were shining: "Next time, if you only dare to look at my women or send a scout to my kingdom, I will show you what a great man is, because then I will erase you from this world. Do not think that what is between us is already over. Go ahead and wash your neck, for your arrogance will be your undoing."

"Well, let's all take it easy today. This was supposed to be a relaxed exchange and trial of strength between the kids. So everyone goes in a different direction and good. Bloodshed is forbidden today, at least in the Divine Coliseum," said Ariana, the Goddess of Prosperity, Beauty and Love. The nobles nodded and parted. Mortis also heard and slowly moved away, but not without taking his eyes off this emperor. His lickspittles shocked and disbelieving, the emperor stood up and angrily made his way away. He was furious that Mortis was treating him this way, and at his companions who froze and watched him being humiliated in front of all the races and nobles.

The representatives of the other races had almost rolled over laughing. This was not only because this arrogant human emperor had overestimated himself, but also because they found the allusion to "dwarf-kicking" exceedingly funny. At first, the dwarves were not particularly pleased about this, but they put up with such remarks and preferred to laugh at the human who made himself bigger than he was. Thus, each nobleman went to his lodge amused and eager to see what else the day would hold in store for them.
