At the Adventurers' Hall, majority of the players present are the ones who came to take up quests, the minority are those who came to challenge their promotion quests. Currently, Mainstream players are stuck at level 48 and 49 which requires an insane amount of EXP to level up so even after grinding for over 72 hours in game, the players still need plenty EXPs to level up.
"Welcome Lord Sword Mage" The NPC at the counter greeted. "Are you here to challenge your promotion quest?" The NPC asked.
"Yes" Xuanyuan nodded.
"OK. The quest fee is 10 Gold coins" The NPC said and Xuanyuan dropped 10 Gold coins on the table before him.
"This is the Promotion quest token. Activate the..."
Before the NPC could finish her sentence, Xuanyuan had already activated the Token and disappeared in a beam of light...
Meanwhile, Snow Titan and the other members of the Ultimate Death party walked towards a nearby leveling region in Jade Spear city.
"This Sword Mage guy is mysterious!" Dark Angel said. They had just learned about the scuffles between Xuanyuan and Heaven will Guild. "He singlehandedly wiped out several thousands of players from Heaven will without barely any effort!"
"I'm sure he's the one who used a curse to kill me previously and also burned Sister Shadow Empress to death. How on earth is a Swordman able to do that?" Pure Spring commented.
"Could he be hacking?" Astral Sword also added. He was feeling the pressure. He was a Swordman like Xuanyuan yet the difference between them is like Heaven and Earth.
"We shall find that out!" Snow Titan said firmly.
"Heaven Will members should be nearby, let's kill their ordinary members to avoid unnecessary troubles" Shadow Empress said and sped towards the leveling region...
A short distance away inside the level 50 leveling region, a team of players fought against waves of Red headed bears whose sizes rivals that of a two storey building. On their chest, a badge bearing 'Heaven will was plastered on it. It's obvious that they were Heaven will Guild players.
Heaven will was a Guild with over 100000 players situated in many cities. Xuanyuan act of destroying their Guild Headquarter was not enough to blast a hole in the Guild as they still have more Branch Guilds in other cities and even Jade Spear city.
The players here were the ones who had lost a big chunk of their levels after being killed continuously by Xuanyuan. They were here with high leveled players who date there to power level them.
Power leveling was a common term in game where a high leveled players help lower leveled players increase their levels quickly. In game, the player that deals the final strike that kills a monster gets 70% of the EXP rewarded so with that rule, power leveling. After being power leveled for a while, they've all reached level 40 not far from where they were previously.
"That Sword Mage. I pray he get killed thousands of times!" One of the players from Heaven will said.
"Amen!" The others chorused.
"I heard players from other cities are already in our city after the Young Master placed the bounty. I'm sure he'll get killed soon"
"If not because we can't kill him. I'd have killed him many times to get the bountiful rewards!" One of the players said dejectedly.
"If we're strong enough, we wouldn't have lost the levels we worked so hard to grind" The players lamented.
Suddenly, the monsters they were fighting exploded into a beam of white light without warning and they didn't receive any EXP. A short distance away, a Team of nine players slowly withdrew their weapons as if to show they were the culprits.
"Hey! Why did you kill steal our monsters?" The lead player asked the nine. Kill steal was another term that describes a situation where a player waits while a player fights a monster and strike at the last moment to obtain 70% of the EXP.
"Were they your monsters?" Shadow Empress said sarcastically.
"But we've been fighting them!" The lead player complained.
"There's no such rule that claims you as the owner of the monsters or that we're not allowed to fight monsters" Shadow Empress jabbed at him.
"Shit! Who are these fucking bastards? Let's Kill them!" The Heaven will players present shouted and prepared for battle.
"Apologize for what you did. and we shall forget it" The leader of the Heaven will players spoke calmly.
"What if we refuse?"
"We'll have no choice but to kill you"
"Try it if you can!"
"Heaven will players. Attack them!" The Leader shouted to Heaven will players who roared before charging at the Nine with MTs in front. They were already prepared for an intense battle.
The nine from Ultimate Death party smiled evilly. That's what they've been waiting for. An excuse to slay Heaven will players. If they start killing them without reason, they'd bring endless troubles over themselves instead.
Snow Titan took her Greatsword and charged towards Heaven will players before her. As usual she didn't use any external skill or item only swinging her Sword ordinarily. But within these strikes is immense power that threatened to exterminate anything in existence. It was hard to predict how much power she'd exhibit with her Skills.
