Follow or not?

The fight went on with Snow Titan on the weaker side losing her HP continuously until her HP bar turned red. Only a few hits from Xuanyuan is enough to send her to the resurrection centre.

Just when Snow Titan was going to die to Xuanyuan's Sword, Pure Spring suddenly waved her staff and an invincibility status appeared above Snow Titan's head and Xuanyuan attack was successfully blocked. Snow Titan used the opportunity to step back before glancing menacingly behind her.

"Please stop the fight" Shadow Empress stepped out. She was the one who ordered to save Snow Titan at the last moment.

"Anything else?" asked Xuanyuan.

"What do you think of joining our. Ultimate Death party?" Shadow Empress asked.

"No" Xuanyuan replied with a single word.

"Why?" Shadow Empress asked.

"No reason" Xuanyuan replied. "I'm leaving!" He continued.

"Should we follow you as our Master instead?" Shadow Empress asked word for word...

"Hey! Shadow Slave!! Are you crazy?!!"Dark Angel shouted in the Team chat.

"Who told you we wanted a Master?!" Astral Sword also added.

"You must be freaking dumb right now!" Divine Shieldbearer also exclaimed.

The Ultimate Death Party is not a uprising team. It had been in existence for a long time and had been famous in other Virtual reality games in the past. Many Guilds had wanted to recruit them in the past but they had always turned then down. That had always been their custom. They were nine with no leader. Everyone was equal in the team. Even Shadow Empress herself was among the ones who was thoroughly against having a leader. Her actions of suggesting Xuanyuan as their leader was the same as breaking their foundation and none of them will agree!

"Calm down guys!" Shadow Empress said. "Just listen to my plan!" She said mysteriously.

"And what would that be?" Pure Spring rolled her eyes.

"You all see well that this Sword Mage guy is overpowered, we should learn his secret skills and abandon him after that!" Shadow Empress suggested.

"That's a great idea!" Dark Angel said with sparkling eyes. That was his wretched personality. To abandon someone after gaining.

"I don't agree!" What about everyone?" Divine Shieldbearer asked.

"I also disagree!" Dancing Flame said.

"Me too!" Water Priestess said.

"I can't serve a fellow Swordman either!" Astral Sword also disagreed...

"I agree!" Snow Titan suddenly commented.

"What do you both think?" Shadow Empress asked. "Follow or not?"

"Hmmmm... I agree with following him" Pure Spring said after a thorough contemplation.

"I also agree too!" Scarlet Fox followed.

"Now it's five against four, will you guys still refuse?" Shadow Empress turned to the opposing party. One of their rules was that, if they wanted to do something that directly affects the team, they vote. If majority agrees, they go ahead and vice versa.

"Are we really going to follow this guy?" Divine Shield asked. "While I admit he's strong, we have no information about him. What if he turns out to be worse than we thought?"

"We will just follow him until we've learnt enough of his secret Skills" Shadow Empress elaborated.

"We'll follow him until then" Divine Shieldbearer and the others agreed after a while.

Although all this happened within a few moments, it was long enough for Xuanyuan who stood silently before them and watched them calmly.

"Please take us under your wing" They all bowed.

"I'm not interested in taking followers" Xuanyuan replied firmly and prepared to leave.

'The Fuck! Is that guy belittling us? We agreed to lower ourselves to this level yet he's so arrogant! Who wants to follow him in the first place!' Dark Angel grumbled in the Team chat.

"Is there any particular reason why you do not wish for us to follow you?" Shadow Empress asked.

"You guys are not worthy" Xuanyuan replied with a straight face...

'Shit!' Dark Angel nearly flew into a rage. Even Snow Titan was finding it difficult to stay put while Xuanyuan belittled them.

"What do we need to prove our worthiness?" Snow Titan suddenly asked.

"Go slay hundreds of Heaven will Guild members. Then I will consider taking you as disciples!" Xuanyuan replied sarcastically and walked away.

"We need to act fast!" Snow Titan said.

"We have nothing to do anyway. Let's go shed some blood. My staff is thirsty" Dark Angel said while waving his staff. "Cowards can scram!" He said and they all laughed as they left to slaughter Heaven will players...
