Realm of Exiles

Mark Ashe was just an ordinary first-year high school student. Despite having a rare condition called cluster headache, he was an errant child, it's usual for you to see him in detention class. Meanwhile, the public started to recognize the existence of Espers. Mark stays out of it and puts everything on the line to make his bitter life more suitable again, not for himself; but for everyone who cares about him. Everything was beyond normal until he discovered an old vendetta between factions of Espers battling for greater power—An Esper. Capable of powerful psychic abilities, a threat to a normal human. Mark got caught up in the dispute, and as a result, his mother will be abducted, but Mark was no exception, he was only an average joe, in this realm of supernatural beings. This is the story of Mark Ashe, in pursuit of her mother that will bring him ever closer to the truth, dangerous trials await, clashing againts powerful organizations, learning about secrets beyond told of this world. Will he perish? or will he clutch the last of the straw?

Chapter 0 - Benefit of the doubt

I'm thirteen years old, you can describe me as the right blend of likable and hateful character, my height is below average, brown-skin, dark-brown eyes, curly hair, and a good-looking person. "Probably."

If you passed by me walking home from school you probably wouldn't notice me. That's because I'm just an ordinary kid like you. I go to school like you. I live a daily simple life like you

Well, then. Let's start the introduction. My name is Mark Ashe and unlike you, I was a problem child, I hated everyone in school, I hated my classmates, I hated my teachers, and someday when I graduated I hope they all rot in hell. That's it, end of the statement.

Unlike you, I was having the worst headaches day and night due to my weird mental illness, so, you'd better know why I'm average in various stuff, no special thing about me, most of them call it loser. Am I right? L-O-S-E-R.

Besides being an average loser, I'm different from you in other ways. Which I mentioned earlier, I had an illness called Cluster headache. You probably know less about Cluster headache. It's an illness where headaches often occur and it's around the side of the eye. I can describe the pain as burning, stabbing, boring or squeezing, and it ranges from 20 minutes or longer. I don't know what triggers it but most of us with cluster headache are severe effects, and we may experience suicidal thoughts during an attack. Thankfully I don't do that anymore, I mostly just deal a significant pain around eye and runny nose slipping through my face then taking my medications would ease the pain.

But I have a very bad cluster headache every few years and it feels like someone is burning your skin over your eye from inside and poking your upper section of the eye with a needle, this moment. No legal pain killer works for me.

Besides having headaches, there's something else you don't know about me. It's going to be a secret, could tell it but that would spill the beans, ain't it?. A secret that turned my life upside down. That secret is the reason why I have headaches in the first place. It scares me more than you would believe. But, again, that's part of my story. So, I might as well tell it to you.
