294 Spending Time with Family

I stepped through the front door of our apartment only to find some of my kids shooting small sparks of magic at each other, Emma, Sol and Hela. There was giggling all around and a general air of enjoyment. I felt like a father coming home from work...

"Hehehe! Got you mum Sol!"

"Oi! Get back here you little gremlin..." Sol chased after him with some faint snow dripping from her hand. When she got close to catching Elijah, Jayden filled her face with a bunch of magically conjured feathers. She started to cough as Hela ambushed Jayden by tickling the sides of his body; the tactic being extremely effective as he dropped onto his ass in laughter.

As Hela began to continue her tickle assault Louise came out of nowhere and created a small rain cloud above Hela, water pouring down over her. Emma responded to this by creating a small sheet of ice below her feet and slipping her up so that she landed on her back on the couch. 

'... At least they are enjoying themselves...' I felt more and more tired as I saw the chaotic mess all of them had left behind in the room, one of the bean bags on fire as Lanfear tried to put it out, Deathwing beside her trying his best to put out the fire too.

*COUGH, COUGH*

All movement stopped as they all awkwardly turned in my direction. Lanfear went pale as Deathwing instantly fled inside of her soul. Hela, Sol and Emma looked like they had been caught doing something wrong, all of their eyes almost instantly gaining a sheen of wetness. Elijah stopped so quickly that he fell over and slid across the floor until he was right beneath me feet. Jayden stopped rolling and looked at me in horror, his face reflecting the feelings of his other siblings. Louise had just attempted to hide.

Hela was the first to speak.

"Ah, you're home early..." Her statement was so sudden and perfect that I started to chuckle, which quickly turned into a laugh as I bent down and started to tickle Elijah, like Hela had done to Jayden. Loud laughter loomed over the room as I began to create clones of myself, quickly leaping at each of them and starting to tickle them whilst I unconsciously snuffed out the bean bag fire and repaired it.

"Hahahahahaha!"

Half an hour later we were all sitting down watching some of the Firefly series. It was truly interesting what they were coming up with as they were now exploring some ancient battleship from a war far in past. They were exploring it because it held some information on the disease that lead to the creation of the Ravagers. 

Elijah, Jayden and Louise were practically glued to the holo projector as they even used their new companions to get drinks for them, which annoyed the entities I had made to no end. I felt a little sorry for them but ultimately gave up caring when Lanfear gave them head pats. The episode moved on as the ship started to activate, or at least the segments they were in. Turrets activated and began to aim in their direction as a monotone robotic voice came over the 'speaker' system of the vessel.

' " Cease your action. You will be detained for Violation of the- " ' The speaker was cut out as the power slowly shut off and the turrets dropped into inactiveness again. All together the show was rather great, the writers were doing a good job in grasping some of the greater sci-fi themes. We watched it until the kids were all puckered out, most of them falling asleep on the bean bags they were seated upon. Leaving them like that I went to the front door where ten of my children stumbled through followed by Idun, Illyana, Jean, Kali, Selene, Blink and Skadi. Pixel was still doing a press conference and wouldn't be back for another half hour.

"Hello my little fairies! Loves!" My children screamed out 'mummy' and tackled me to the ground where they all gave me big hugs, my clones having to give each of them a kiss on the forehead once they finished. My wives had varying reactions to the kid's behaviour, Jean being quite irked and frustrated whilst Illyana laughed her ass off. 

Following that I easily teleported to my feet and gave a rather passionate kiss to each of my women, some of them getting slightly jealous by the order I did it in, only to receive a pinched ass in return; from me. Those that received that pinch looked at me in mock anger before I winked at them, sending blushes to their cheeks as they 'stormed' off into the kitchen. Illyana, Kali and Selene all laughed and got as close as they could to me whilst talking of their days... My kids eventually joined the chat and I started to get bombarded with their experiences with learning martial arts and school. It took me an hour to clearly get to talk to my wives. Thus, I eventually learned that Kali, Selene and Fury had taken these ten: Shiva, Octavia, Olivia, Rose, Constantine, Anna, Rachel, Serphina, Hydrus and Atheria, under their wing so to speak. The other 9 who weren't here were practicing under Yao and the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj, also under Odin, Loki and Thor; when they had time. Surprisingly Loki was really good at handling children and was adept at bringing out the inner imagination of them, Angelo specifically enjoyed learning sorcery from the man.

Those that were training with the 'magic' group were: Natali, Lalina, Corrin, Angelo, Atheria, Eternia, Angela, Eclipse and Aurora. The remaining four being those that had been 'learning' from Hela, Sol and Emma. They had been supposed to learn control over their powers and exploring their potentials but supposedly it devolved into a game of tag... It sounded very much like my children. 'Maybe I should get Selene, Hel and Pixel to guide these 4 whilst Sol, Hela and Emma focus on coming up with new ideas on how to train them, or just manage their own businesses...'

I was liking the idea the more I tossed it around in my head as I also considered going on some more 'training' trips with a few of my children at a time. Perhaps bringing them into series like Reincarnated as a Slime or even My Hero Academia... My Hero would probably be a stretch but staying inside the Monster Nation of Rimiru didn't sound too bad. 'I could even have them verse those stupid humans when the barrier gets erected over the town, that would be good training for them... I could bring Kali, Selene and Pixel there just to make sure of their safety, although I would be perfectly adequate to protect them.'

I threw the idea to the back of my head as the reminder of the system popped up. 

[Ding! Reminder Triggered! Message: The Kid's Birthdays are all in a week!]

'Fuck... They would be turning five or six yeah?'

[Affirmative...]

'Hey! Why does it sound like an emotionless Ai interface is judging me?'

[...]

'Don't get quiet now!'

There was no response and I quickly found myself sighing in frustration at the implication that I was a shit mother. I really did want to remember these things but sometimes time is just so fucky... 'I fought a fucking tentacle monster outside of time for no time and all time, excuse me if I fucking forget their ages as of now!'

[....]

'Fucker...'
