CHAPTER 03:   Miss you Dad!

"Man, Cade, there's a baseball match at our school. Wanna join me?" Doug asked Cade, who was lost in his thoughts.

When Cade turns back to face Doug, "Man, why are you bleeding?" he asks.

No, man, I am not bleeding. I don't feel any blood in my nose," replies Cade.

"Brother, are you okay? I didn't ask you about any bleeding men. Is everything fine? I was asking you if you would join me for the baseball match at school today afternoon," replied a surprised Doug.

Cade pauses for a moment and answers, Nah, smoker, you enjoy." Doug jumps on him and kisses him on the cheeks and says, "If you don't agree, I'd kiss you on the lips. Come on, my bro."

"Okay. Fine. Just get away from me. I'll come," replied the irritated Cade.

When Cade and Doug enter the stadium of their high school, 'Kerrysville High School, both of them are reminded of their beautiful memories in school. Then, they meet the currently famous baseball kid, Jonathan, the captain of the baseball team, the Kerrysville Bulls.

"Hey, Frank Borges's kid, Long time no see...wassup man? Jonathan waved and tapped Cade. "Nothing much, Jon," replies Cade. "I miss your dad badly, man, and I wish he was still here for us to mentor us," said Jonathan.

"I miss him too," responds Cade, with a smirk and sadness on his face. Far away, he sees Vicky, Martin, and Natalia waving at them, so Cade and Doug go to join them in watching the match.

Throughout the match, Cade was reminded of his father and how he would bring him to the grounds every Saturday so that his son might also be a good player like his father. He missed everything about his dad.

At the end of the match, Natalia asks, "Cade... Is everything alright still? Thanks, Natalie, I'm okay... All is good," replied Cade. Hey, by the way, Raby tried to contact you...the restaurant is closed tomorrow and has a holiday," Natalie informed.

She hugged him and said goodbye, but Cade wasn't sure whether that had happened or not. After returning home with Doug, when the nights silently passed, there was a knock on their room door in the early dawn. Cade wakes up to respond with an inch of fear in his thoughts.

When he opens the door, he sees a fishing rope. As he visualizes only a rope, he screams in fear while a random hand covers his mouth, squeezing him and whispering into his ears, saying, "Tuna, it's me. Don't be so loud. Some are yet sleeping."

Cade gets a little relaxed and punches Uncle George with his elbow on his stomach. "Stop your stupid pranks, oldie!" Cade teases his uncle.

Hey, grown-up! I'm just two years older than you," laughed his 55-year-old funny uncle.

"What brought you here, uncle George?" asks Cade while leading his uncle to the living room.

"Nothing specifically. I was just passing by the church. So I wanted to check up on you," said Uncle George. Cade was much closer to his uncle than his own family.

"I have a holiday today...so can you spend today with me?" asked Cade enthusiastically.

George replies with excitement, "Of course, tuna." "Let's hang out."

"Stop. "Stop calling me that," says an annoyed Cade.

After having breakfast together, Uncle George takes Cade to the coast to surf, as he has always loved surfing together with Cade since the day he taught him. After a good time of surfing, George takes Cade to his home to watch their favorite, 'Seven Years in Tibet.'

So, at dinner time, Kid, would you like to try salmon too? Today was a good fish hunt!" asked his anxious Uncle George.

"No...No uncle... I have been following a vegan diet for two years now. I love my health, nature, and animals, especially." replies Cade.

"Ok, ok, ok, child. Now don't start your vegan lecture. Let me get you some fruit salad with fries," replied his uncle with amusement. So far, this has been a good day, which totally made him forget his past weird and scary experiences.

When George went to the kitchen to prepare Cade's food and his additional food, Cade followed him. George was using the cutting board to cut a piece of rind flesh, and that's when Cade witnessed something strange. He saw his uncle about to cut his hand instead of the meat. "Uncle George, it's your hand!" screamed Cade. Giving the scariest smile ever, George continued cutting by first cutting his fingers.

Then, Cade continued cutting his palm, which scared him to death. Uncle George stares into his eyes and slowly takes the knife to his right eye and stabs, piercing through the skull and eyeball and popping out with dark red blood.

Then, Cade shrieks in fear and grabs the knife from Uncle George, after which he stabs his arm, not intending to hurt himself but solely out of fear. Then George screams, saying, "Cade. Cade. Why did you do this?" Flabbergasted George grabs the unconscious Cade and takes him to the hospital while there is massive blood loss from his hurt arm.
