Reaching Out

A boy left all alone in the world after being abandoned by his mother in a poor clan that treated him harshly because he started showing signs of being different from other kids and the people around him. With him being ostracized more and more he became less and less of the cheerful young kid he use to be until eventually turning discreet and mute around others in hopes that they would stop being scared of him. Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? Or will people be there to catch him if he does once again?

What's To Come?

Walking would probably take the both of them two weeks to get there meaning they were both in for quite a trek and that was only if everything went right. "I'll need to prepare myself..." Tearia knew it wouldn't be easy as she would have liked and there was going to be a lot of dangers involved with going to such a place but this was the point of her little adventure. "Hopefully the Beasts there aren't too strong....as well as the people." She really hoped they were at least manageable if not she might have to give up on doing anything too crazy.

"I know how people with strength can be..."

Back in Belturn she came across so many people who thought they were better than her or could simply hit on her with force and it disgusted her but at least she could deal with them to some extent especially with her Grandfather making sure she was safe. Now she was alone though and could only defend herself, no guardian to protect her or enable her stupidity. "Maybe this isn't such a good idea...." Now that she had time to think it through she was starting to think that maybe she should just back off and wait a little bit until she tried stuff like that. "No, no I've already decided..I'll just try and take it slow." Thinking that she slowed down her rushed pace a little bit as she walked along a narrow path nearing a city. "Getting closer." Watching one of her first checkpoints come into vision that flew through her mind as the trees rattled softly in the wind next to her.

Watching the tree leaves wave back and forth as he walked by Xilo had already been walking for over a week straight without stopping to afraid to sleep. He didn't want another repeat of before where he ended up dreaming that strange dream for almost two days in a row but mostly he was afraid he wouldn't keep walking if he stopped. Regardless it kept him moving and kept his thoughts on track even if he was starting to grow tired. "it's better then the what if." He only had a week or less of walking then he could finally take his break and with only a couple Astral Beasts bugging him along the way the journey had been relatively smooth.

"Company would be nice though...."

Along the way he had only met a couple of merchants and travellers going the opposite way of him and for the the first time in a while a sense of loneliness was setting in for. "It's weird." He went from constantly feeling alone and being perfectly okay with it for the most part, too spending a couple years with Xelfia while not feeling it, too deeply hating this feeling. However that hate of it was edging him forward as much as it could so maybe he could hopefully see some people again even if he didn't interact with them. He just simply wanted someone there regardless if they knew each other or talked even, something that could stop the aching in his chest.

"Just keep walking, Xilo"

Feeling the breeze pass him by he enjoyed the pleasantness of it as it glided across his skin and blew his hair back slightly. "Warm..." Feeling the heat within it he tried to smile but unfortunately it just couldn't come to him, at least not naturally. This felt incredibly forced and painful. "Be positive!." Trying to snap himself out of it he continued with his boring and long journey. One way or another he had to make it there. "No giving up." But that wasn't easy in the slightest.

Leaving Yilel's room Althea sighed in relief after just finishing talking to her. "Hopefully she bought that." Unfortunately she wasn't too sure about how good of a job she did for once. "She's so untrusting sometimes." That girl was paranoid beyond belief but Althea couldn't blame her too much. "I would be as well after all." However she at least got her to believe her somewhat, allowing her to be able to leave for a while without too much of a worry and that's what mattered the most to Althea currently.

"We need to hurry."

If not, Xilo might somehow disappear again from out of her grasp and she didn't want that, nor did she know how she would really handle that in the end of the day. Just losing him the first time already made her snap so a second time was bound to be worse. "I just can't help it..." Without him her goals seemed so far away and she was getting desperate especially as of lately, her father was starting to make more and more movements that were against her. "That old bastard." If she didn't do anything to stop him she might never be able to avenge her mother.

"Strength...strength."

She needed that badly and eventually she was going to run out of time.

"I think that should be everything."

Going through the checklist in her head she made sure she had completed her preparations for the trip as she reached her room balcony and opened up the doors while walking outside. She would be going completely alone this time and meeting up with some of her spys along the way. It would take almost a month to get there so she was going to be crunching for time but if she found Xilo then it wouldn't matter. "I can also train along the way hopefully." Thinking that she set off for her destination.

"I'm coming, Xilo."

Making her way through the night she starting to fly towards her destination. With time passing all parties eventually got closer to their destination as Xilo saw the town right before the castle stirring with life even from here. "Looks like I was right, Lots of people." Letting out a yawn he felt his tired body move forward a couple more steps.

"Almost there."

Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays.

Enjoy.
