More Then They Can Keep Count

Feeling their fist's and kick's crush bone they both breathed a sigh of relief after killing the second one before preparing themselves for whatever was next and soon that came at them forcing them to react as they slowly started to sync up unknowingly. With another attack they both killed the third but it wasn't over as a fourth soon came then a fifth and so on for what felt like hours to them. But with each passing minute and kill Xilo slowly started to feel the breeze himself while Xelfia gained more control over her Astral Energy. Too focused to really pay attention to what was happening they slayed creature upon creature until eventually they both reached the hundreds as they both heavily sweated almost out of breath.

"Just a little bit more Xilo...." "Just a little bit more Xelfia..." In Between breaths they silently encourage one another while barely staying standing. Both of them felt so incredibly weak at this point that anything could probably knock them down at this point. Yet they hadn't received any injuries in a very long time, it was just a endurance match at this point until they collapsed. "There...can't be much ...more...Right?" Xilo's clothes felt sticky as he patiently waited for the next creature to attack him.

At this point he just wanted to lie down and take a nap. He was simply exhausted but this test wasn't giving him any breaks as the next attack came. Turning around quickly he punched one last time in the direction of the enemy but that was it for Xilo. Following along with the movement he lost balance and fell with his fist as he crashed into the enemy breaking it apart falling to the floor together. "This is it for me..." Landing on the floor he didn't even have the energy to move his fist again to make sure whatever he hit was dead let alone get up again but he struggled regardless in an attempt to get up.

Worried about another attack he pushed against the ground but that didn't help at all as he laid there. "Something else is coming get up." With how this test had been so far he knew something else would attack him soon but he couldn't do a thing. "What can I do..." trying to think of a way out of this situation he racked his brain but before he could come up with anything a giant flash of light entered his eyes blinding him. Unable to see for a couple seconds he let the flash fade before opening his eyes once more and looked around the room.

"Wow..."

An empty room full of nothing surrounded him with Xelfia a couple meters away in a similar position to him but there were no more enemies or bodies in this place anymore. "Is it over....?" That was all he could think about in between short breaths seeing such a sight before he eventually drifted off into sleep. He could no longer keep his body awake at this point and feeling even that slight relief from seeing again made him let his guard down putting him to sleep. "You're welcome." Unable to hear that voice he continued sleeping.

Looking at Xilo fall asleep Xelfia was in slightly better shape as she waited for anything to happen but only a small Crystal that was grey dropped into the center of the room on to the ground with a small sound. "I guess that was really it. Slightly struggling she got up and walked towards it. "Well I got some experience.." Compared to other people at her strength they wouldn't be nearly this out of it after completing this test but Xelfia was a different case. She stumbled around and flailed about wasting too much here and there at the beginning while trying to find any enemies which resulted in her losing too much energy to keep herself going. Thankfully it became easier for her later on but it still took a ton out of her yet with all that she came out on top better for it. Her fighting became cleaner while her energy consumption and use of it improved quite a bit compared to before.

"A grey one this time eh?"

Crouching down she picked it up and put it into her pocket while turning to Xilo again. "I'm surprised he lasted that long." She saw he was still awake at the end which shocked her a little bit but thinking of Xilo's stubbornness she wasn't too shocked. "idiot." Arriving by his side she gently moved him with the last of her strength and brought him to the wall with her setting him down on her lap as she leaned against it. "Such a small room. I wonder what stopped us from finding each other." Looking at the empty room that could hold 20 or so people probably Xelfia wondered where even all the bodies had gone but besides curiosity she didn't really care. She was tired herself and needed some sleep or else she would be in a position similar to Xilo and collapsing without a choice. Feeling herself start to fade she got as comfortable as possible as she soon fell asleep herself.

"Looks like that's it for me as well...Good job Xilo."

Mumbling that they both slept as time passed on. Alone in the silence their sleeping sounds were the only thing to be heard in the room anymore. But eventually that stopped after a little while with Xilo eventually waking up once again and looking around the room.

"What happened?"

Still feeling exhausted and not one hundred percent Xilo didn't really remember what they just went through right away but it soon came back to him as he became more and more awake. "So we really did do it." Relief flooded his body as he looked up and spotted Xelfia's face above him sleeping as well. "Looks like you had to take care of me again...sorry about that." Saying that in his head he got up as quietly as he could well trying not to make too much movement as he leaned himself against the wall well grabbing Xelfia and let her cuddle up to his lap sleeping. "I think it's your turn now for once." Rubbing her hair gently he sat there and let Xelfia sleep with some comfort this time around. "You did great Xelfia." Thinking that he waited in silence until she would wake up.
