Landal's Mystery

Dragging his hands along the wall Xilo tried to see if he could find a way inside. "Where did this come from?" Unless he was going crazy he was positive that it wasn't here a few minutes ago. It seemed to block the whole other half of this small area, keeping him from the other side. There weren't any door handles or switches from where he was as well so Xilo was out of options. "That presence is definitely in there." He could feel it so close to him yet there was nothing he could do. It was frustrating being stuck like this when he was inches away from whoever was hiding.

"What do I do.....Oh?"

"If you're wanting to get in there, give me that piece of hair."

It was the first time in a while that he heard the sound of the woman in his head speak to him but he did what she said.

Landal had completely removed himself from the Castle after he had walked away from Lexia. He needed some time to cool off and think about things after his outbursts. He hadn't planned to just lose his cool like that and lash out against Lexia or Drahal. He still needed time and needed to keep an eye on both of them but now he had kicked Lexia out permanently. "She's stubborn as ever so I doubt she'll come back." That put a bit of a roadblock into his plans and he would have to figure something else out. For now though he just needed to calm down and collect himself.

Like a walking corpse he slowly returned to his throne room passing people by without even acknowledging them. "He came here today just to rub it in." He could feel his hair falling out from the stress already. Drahal was far too confident for his liking and that worried him. Ignoring everyone, Landal went into his throne room and around back. Once he was there he clicked on a switch that was hidden by his chair. It opened up a small room so that he could be alone in peace. Five years ago he had created this space as a small little bubble where he could come and just sort out his emotions. No one could track him and no one even knew about it.

This invisible box would hide his presence and teleport to different locations so even if someone did find him it would relocate to hide every so often. With how tough it was not even he could break into it by force so he was safe here even without protection from his guards. Entering the room Landal sat down with his head hung low as he looked around the room. Unlike his plain room where he would sleep he moved all his possessions here after the accident five years ago. Pictures of Lexia hung on the wall and a few other people Landal constantly tried to forget. They still managed to crawl their way back into his nightmares and haunt him.

"I'm sorry....I failed you all and myself."

Tears rolled down his cheeks as he pressed his head to the floor. In front of him was something special that he built with his own two hands. When it first happened he would come here and ask for forgiveness for what he had done but eventually that stopped. No matter how many times he asked, they never forgave him nor did they ever come back. He was alone in the world with no more family left or friends. He had only ghosts that taunted him and pretended to care for him. He refused to believe their lies, they weren't real and he knew that. He saw what had happened with his own two eyes that day and that was something he would never mistake.

"It's all....Drahal's fault."

Slamming his fist into the ground Landal let out a groan that carried all his emotions. This was the one place he allowed himself to cry and remember. "He is responsible for everything." Landal had just wanted to be friends with him at first but Drahal only took advantage of that and betrayed him. The only thing Landal had over Drahal now was that Drahal didn't know Landal had already figured out what he had done. Crying, Landal looked up at the set of graves in front of him. There were over ten in total that he had created but there were no bodies underneath them. "They're all empty." So he filled the graves with flowers and memories instead, burying it all deep within.

"Heh...I know Drahal was the one that killed you all and yet...I can't do anything but try and forget you all. Isn't that pathetic...? It feels like I'm the true killer in the end. If only I was a little faster, a little stronger maybe the results would have been different. Maybe you would still all be by my side."

That what if drove him up the wall and into insanity. Now that his family and friends were dead he would do anything to stop Drahal. He didn't even care if he had to become a demon himself to do it. Watching from behind him Xilo felt his breath get caught in his throat as he read every name on the graves. "No...no.." Hearing Landal wail on about what had happened Xilo's eyes stopped on the grave in the centre. It was the biggest one there and the one that seemed to have the most care went into it. "How!?!?" Shakily Xilo read the name on it as he tried to process in his mind how that could be even possible.

*Lexia*

In the dead centre Lexia's name was written on the grave as Landal carried on how everyone here had died. "But..she's alive." He saw Lexia less than two hours ago well and alive without a problem. So then why was her name written on a grave as her ex-husband cried in front of it crying out how they had all died by Drahal's hand. Had Landal really lost his mind that much to think his own wife was already dead or was something else going on here that he didn't understand. "Do you know anything?" Trying to talk to the voice in his head for any answers she said nothing, leaving Xilo with his speculations. "What the actual fuck is going on?" Feeling his mind spin in circles Xilo felt slightly sick staring at the names on the graves.

Enjoy.
