Going Together

*Yawn*

Yawning Xilo slowly started to wake up as he laid beside Xelfia. He was so tired he didn't even notice the other presences in the room nor did he wake up easily like he used to. Instead he rested his eyes and slowly got up like the times before entering the Myriad Forest. He just wasn't feeling the same as before so he let it be and took his time waking up. Noticing Xilo stirring Tearia was glad she didn't have the chance to go any further. "Close." If she got caught doing that she was in for some trouble. But seeing him not wake up right away she left him be as she turned to grandmother who just finished checking on Xelfia.

"Anything wrong?"

"No she still seems stable, which is a good thing and thankfully the energy she's absorbing hasn't had anything issues either."

"That's good."

Hearing the voices in the room Xilo finally started to pay attention to his surroundings as he woke up and quickly looked around the room. Seeing Tearia and her grandmother there he relaxed as he sat up and stretched in his chair.

"Morning."

"Hey sleepyhead." "sleep well?"

Both of them spoke at the same time as soon as the words left his mouth. It seemed they both also worried about him as well which made him feel a little warm inside as he replied.

"Yea I needed that."

"That's good. Xelfia's still okay so you don't have to worry about that."

"Good to hear."

"But the more important topic at hand is what will you be doing now."

Tilting his head he tried to think what she was talking about but couldn't think of anything so just gave her a questioning look in reply. Seeing his actions Tearia's grandmother broke into a small laugher as she replied.

"You can't expect to sit by her side 24/7 until she wakes up can you?"

"I can't?"

"Of course not. Nothing bad's going to happen to her anyway so you should try and go out and do something. Me and my Husband will watch over her while you're gone. She'll be safe, don't worry. Also what would Xelfia think if she knew you were being lazy the whole time?"

He was against the idea of leaving her alone but when he saw her kind smile he stopped himself from rebutting and just silently agreed to her request. "Though she also figured out my weakness, Old people are scary." But they seemed like nice people and since he was already imposing on them and asking for their help it didn't feel right to not trust them especially when they had already helped quite a bit. Seeing him not fighting back with her she gave a nod of approval as she turned to her granddaughter.

"And you."

"Me?"

Being spoken to all of sudden surprised Tearia. For a second she thought she was going to get busted by her grandmother who could have known what she did but that was a needless worry once she heard her next sentence.

"You'll be going with him."

"Huh." "huh."

This time they both leaked surprised voices when they heard what she said. Xilo didn't even know what he was going to do yet with his time but having Tearia come with him while he was by himself was an even worse situation for him to be in.

"Why are you both so surprised? Didn't you already go together to the Astral Zone? What's the big deal."

"Wait, wait, you want us to goto the Astral Zone together? but we don't have Xelfia with us anymore..."

"I'm fine with that."

Surprised hearing Xilo so calmly reply Tearia turned her head to see him acting like it would be perfectly fine and after what just happened she didn't feel safe going back there at all . It was dangerous and she didn't want to have to fight anymore at the moment if possible. She only wanted to use her time to get closer to Xilo instead. But Xilo was of another mind. He didn't know what else to possibly do or how to spend time with Tearia by himself so giving him a chance to continue his training was perfect and maybe it would help him distract himself which at the moment was something he really needed. Of course this time around he would play it safer without Xelfia around but being afraid of more mistakes and accidents happening wasn't something he wanted to have happen and if Xelfia knew he was when she woke up she'd probably be disappointed in him a little bit and he would also be disappointed in himself which wasn't something he wanted to see.

"Come now, I know you're scared but It isn't that dangerous as long as you don't go to places people don't frequent so often like before. I'm sure you'll be fine Tearia."

"Bu-but.."

Staring at her granddaughter straight in the eye she forced her to look her in the eyes and eventually the intensity of her gaze made Tearia crumble and give in.

"Fine..."

"That's great. You two can leave in a little bit after you're ready. Though you absolutely have to stick to the normal area's understood?"

Seeing them both nod and agree she was satisfied as she turned to leave. Watching her leave Xilo stood up from his chair and gave Xelfia one last look over for the moment and said his own goodbyes to her before turning to Tearia who still wasn't getting ready to leave.

"Are you ready?"

"I suppose."

"If you're that worried you don't have to fight I can do everything you know?"

Hearing the slight concern in his voice she hesitated for a second before she agreed with him in the end.

"If you say so."

"I see."

Well that wasn't quite the answer he expected to come from her, he also understood where she was coming from so he left it alone as he walked out of the door with Tearia quickly following behind him afterwards. "Did I make him upset?" With that thought in mind she watched his back as she caught up to him and walked by his side.

Xilo is definitely in for a unique experience it seems haha
