For Days.

"What are you doing here?"

Staring at her father who appeared so unexpectedly she tried to get her mind in the right place. "what are you doing here exactly." Inching closer to Xilo she tried to make sure she could protect him just in case while they spoke. Meanwhile Xilo felt a small blaze of anger as he looked at the old man he had given him a thrashing for the past year. "This bastard." Swearing in his head he felt his hair stand on end while he listened to their conversation before he walked up to the bars and handed something to Althea. "What's that?" Not being able to clearly see what it was he was unable to get a guess but he knew something was off.

"They seem to be smiling but." There was malous behind both of them which left him a little confused as he listened to them talk to each other.. However besides that and a few questions he didn't catch he couldn't learn anything before the old man walked off apparently finished with whatever he had in mind while Althea turned around in a huff stomping her feet. "Well that's a sight." Seeing something from her he never expected he let a smile slip that Althea didn't miss.

"What's so funny."

Seeing him smirk like an idiot she grabbed the bag she was handed and ripped the vial out of it. "He got this faster than I thought....What's he up to." Looking at the curel's Blood inside she was left confused. "Well at least things are moving faster than I wanted." Looking at its red shine she made sure it was safe just in case as Xilo replied.

"Nothing, nothing."

"Good, Also it looks like it will be beginning sooner rather than later."

"...?"

Placing the vial in front of his face she said a simple two words.

"Drink it."

Hearing her words he looked at the vial as a wicked smile crossed her face, while a feeling of anxiousness ran up his back. "Oh no..." He didn't know what was inside it but he had a feeling it wasn't anything good for him in the long run however he didn't really have a choice.

"Come on now, Drink it. Didn't you want your strength back?"

Hearing those words he had a vague feeling what this would lead to as he took it and brought it up to his lips. "....." With Althea watching him he chose to chug it back with no hesitation. "Let's see where this will bring me." He wanted to see where this girl Althea would take him. The curiosity in his soul was growing each moment he spent with her and he wanted to know more if possible. Unfortunately he instantly regretted it as he felt his throat begin to burn causing him to gag as he dropped the bottle to the floor while feeling pain similar to last night. "I see." With that last conscious thought he felt his mind slipping while Althea started to take more things out of her bag. "I need to do this fast or else it won't work, Sorry Xilo but you'll be out of it for the next little while." Staring at him as he collapsed she walked up to him as she started combining a couple ingredients she had gathered herself as she attached another piece of her soul to them and hovered over the boy waiting for the right time.

"I see....They've gotten closer than I thought."

Remembering the silver strand of hair he had seen on the boy as when he entered Althea's father patiently walked back to his throne room while he thought about his plans going forward. "Some things might need to change it seems..." With the quiet echo of his steps he entered his throne room before making his way behind it towards his bedroom where his wife was. Quietly opening the door so as to not disturb her he announced his presence as he walked in before sitting next to her as she lay sleeping.

"This is for the best."

Holding her hand he sat there in silence unmoving like a statue as time moved forward. "I know we don't want this...but its the only way to stop them." with one long drawn out sigh time stopped for the both of them.

Feeling his body scream out against him Xilo's eyes fluttered open as he looked at a familiar ceiling that he felt he hadn't seen in days as a bit of sunlight peeked through a window a little ways away from him. "Althea...." Remembering that name and the pain he had felt he tried to shake the fading memories away. "What even was that." He could only remember some things but he knew it wasn't a plenty memory in the slightest, in fact it was something he really wanted to forget if possible. Even now he could feel the lingering pain of what had happened without every actually experiencing it.

"Scary.....Hey Xelfia?"

Saying that he looked around the room as his memories were pieced together again while a wave of sadness washed over him. "Oh.....Right." Looking at the empty room he didn't really know what to do as he walked up the door and left. "I need to do something." Meanwhile Althea was currently in her room as she heard loud knocking on the door that awoke her. "Dammit..." Getting up with a bit of anger she hoped for the person on the other side of the door that it was something worth waking her up for. "I've told them not to disturb me before." Thinking that she threw open the door and stared at her maid as words flew into her ears.

"We've found traces of the boy."

Hearing that she felt her sleepiness vanish as a craze washed over. Grabbing her maid by the shoulders she looked her dead in the eyes as her tone carried a bit of insanity behind it.

"You're not lying correct?"

"...No..."

Enjoy.
