Fear Or Something Else?

From what Xilo could see there were 14 different icicles this time around that he would have to destroy without missing any. "Don't think about it too hard." Reminding himself that he watched as the first entered the water with the rest coming right behind it as he struck out destroying one then the next "!,2,3...." Focused he destroyed a total of 8 without blinking and was left with 6 now but this was where the struggle would come.

"You got this."

Staring them down he lost focus of everything else around him as he watched six more fly at him. He even missed the small bits of black energy that was integrating itself into his body with every passing second. Forcing himself he broke two more with one swing well destroying the rest soon afterwards without even letting a single one leave the shield of water this time. "I...Did...it?" Surprised at even himself he felt his blood pumping everywhere through his body as the next volley came.

"Sixteen, you got the timing down Xelfia?"

"Yea I should be good to go next time so just destroy these and we'll be fine."

"Good."

Watching Xilo successfully defend them without taking any hits Xelfia was slightly impressed as she focused on the timing for the next wave after this as the next icicle landed.

*Crack*

Another one broke as Xilo began to work on the next wave with a little less worry this time around while the darkness slowly grew without Xilo or Xelfia noticing and soon Xilo had destroyed another 14 icicles only to be left with the last two of the barrage. "this is it." He refused to make any mistakes this time as he swung both arms forward, cracking another at the same time as the one on the right side.

"Success!."

Watching the spear fly forward Xilo almost hugged Xelfia unconsciously as joy surged within him but stopped himself before he made any mistakes or wasted any more time. The fear of failure slowly started to vanish from Xilo's mind with each passing second and a part of him was even having fun at this point. He was improving with each icicle being destroyed and it was a wonderful feeling

"Alright let's hurry and go."

Watching her spear hit the mark and actually pierce the bunny she got ready to jump to the next platform again with Xilo right behind her. Jumping she quickly made it across with Xilo soon following behind her. Watching him jump she made sure to keep an eye on the platform in front of her so nothing unexpected would happen as she felt his hand grip hers a few seconds later and pulled him forward just in time. The second Xilo stepped foot on the platform the Bunny began to spawn again as well forcing Xelfia to set up her shield again with no room to even breathe. Thankfully they only had this one last jump to do before they made it to the bunny again and with their rhythm now it shouldn't be too hard.

"Ready?"

"Shouldn't be too much of a problem."

Feeling Astral Energy flow through his body easily Xilo was sure that these last jumps wouldn't be a problem as his confidence increased while he turned to repeat the same things as before and right he was. After the next minute or so they both were able to deal with another increase in difficulty as they jumped once again with Xilo not even needing help anymore. "So much easier than before." He was a little confused that things were going so smoothly all of a sudden compared to before but the only thing he could contribute it to was his change of thinking that was holding him back before. "Not like it could be anything else." Shaking off that slightly weird feeling he turned to look at there next goal

He knew sometimes fear could hold people back but now he was even more excited to try it again. However that probably wasn't going to happen since all they had to do now was make it to the platform with the bunny on it and they would be done with this place. Luckily the Bunny once again in front of them now so it wouldn't be long before this test was done.

"This is the last one then we're done with this place."

Looking at his hand he watched as the ice traveled towards his elbow without stopping with the abyss below in the background but now that they were almost done there was no need to worry about either of those things for a little bit. "Out of all the tests so far this has probably been the hardest. I wonder how the others will be." Though they still didn't know if this was even a test but they could only figure that out if they completed this one and either way they still had another four more potential paths to go through before they could finally leave this place.

"We could use a rest." The main thing Xilo wanted to do after this though was take a nice long nap and just forget about everything for a little bit but he would have to save that thought for later as the final bunny spawned. Yet this one didn't attack them right away and even looked a little different but there no was no time to examine it as instead of firing at them it stared at them for a second before taking a huge leap and landing on the platform they were on just before then instantly jumped again to another platform and continued that without stopping.

"What is it doing now? Also why is it so big now..."

Compared to before it felt like they were looking at a different Bunny completely.

"No clue but be prepared for anything."

He didn't trust this situation in the slightest and Xilo was soon proved right as he watched it stop on one more platform before turning to look at them and leaping straight at them.

"Move!"

With no need for Xilo's reminder both jumped towards where it initially was at the beginning without looking back
