Facing It Together

Under specific restrictions Keltal was given the ability to create things using just his mind. As long as it was an object it was very possible to create "whatever" he wanted. He had taken the words his Mother had told him when he was young and used them as a weapon now. A part of him felt a little proud of that and yet at the same time it embarrassed him. "It's like I'm still just a kid sometimes." A shining black midnight black sword filled with blood red jagged marks hovered over his head humming with power. "It may have been her's at some point but now it's mine." This was the sword his Mother used when he was a little kid. She would also joke about how it could cut anything down that tried to hurt him even though it really couldn't.

This version of it though was able to accomplish that dream of hers. "One day I'll be able to talk with her again and maybe Father." Ever since he was kicked out he was banned from talking to anyone from the main clan including his parents and that worked both ways. If either side failed to listen to the rules they would be killed without question. "I want to show them a bit of what I've become some day." Only recently was he becoming proud of who he turned out to be in the end. He went through a lot of rough slopes to get here but it was all worth it. "This end's here Katrin." Commanding the sword above his head he watched it move to his will as it sliced the invisible wall in front of him.

Ripping it apart instantly the blade did the unthinkable as it disappeared right after into a void of darkness. Almost as if it was signalling to Keltal that it's job was done. "I'm getting weaker." He just couldn't control that much power for long anymore. The seals on his neck were beginning to fill in again signalling the time he had left until he would just go back to normal. Creating something like that had taken way too much power out of him. It was worth it though as he watched Katrin's face flash in surprise. Seeing her barrier break Katrin blinked a few times in surprise before composing herself. "Just a little more time." Her attack was almost finished if she was just given a bit more time.

"Why go through all this effort to stop me, are those lives really that important to you Keltal. Out of most people I'd thought you would understand me the most. I can't let this world perish....I don't want it to disappear. It's taken so much from me....but it gave me something wonderful in return. A loving husband and daughter....Those two are my world. You should understand that more than anything Keltal! So..why?"

Emotions finally managed to worm their way into the Queen's voice as she watched Keltal fly at her. She could feel her heart twist and break as she thought about her world shattering into pieces just because that was their fate. "Aeon, Felli...you two deserve so much better than me." With her Technique almost finished the Queen heard a voice in the back of her mind edging her on. "I'll make sure you two get what you deserve." Even if it killed her, as long as they were happy then Katrin could accept any kind of punishment. Flinching at the Queen's words, Keltal did his best to steady his blade.

"Maybe we didn't know each other very well after all. I can't let this continue, it'll get in the way of too many things."

*Haaaaa.*

"Then..I won't be sorry Keltal."

Confused for a moment, Keltal looked at the Queen as time stopped for a brief second for him. In that time he watched as the circle above the Queen's head finally completed itself. Lasers connected in the centre of it and aimed directly at Keltal. Feeling how much power was faintly in that attack Keltal felt his heart rate speed up drastically as fear overwhelmed him. Without even giving him a second to think the lasers fired one giant beam straight at his heart that ripped him into his chest. Screaming out in pain He felt his skin get destroyed then his bones until it finally reached his heart and came out the other side. His body completely stopped moving inches away from the Queen as he felt death coming for him.

"I....I...lost...?"

His mind was in complete disarray as it tried to process what was going on. No matter how much it tried to come up with a conclusion it ended up deleting that instantly almost as if that would change the outcome. Looking for some way to survive this situation Keltal's body dropped to the ground onto his back as he faced the ceiling. "....This pain." His body had reached the point that it couldn't feel anything else besides pain. No sadness, despair or anger, faced with reality Keltal struggled to keep his eyes open. "....What..now?" He asked himself that question one last time, almost as if he was trying to think his way out of this situation. Like his ability could magically replace the heart he had lost.

Blood drenched the floor, spilling out of his body like crazy. The seals on his neck kept filling in completely ignoring the fact that he was dying. "Will I really never show them...the man I've become?" A small tear managed to form as he thought of his parents. He knew he had disappointed them when he was younger, always letting them down and never living up to their expectations. They still loved him with all their hearts despite that. Which was why the day his banishment was finally lifted he wanted to walk in that Castle and find them. He would stand in front of them with his newfound family of his own and smile right before giving them one big hug and crying his heart out. "I'm not strong, I'm not a leader, I've never been anything special." Despite all of that he still tried his hardest.

"...Goodbye."

Feeling the last of his life leaving him, Keltal shut his eyes as the seal around his neck finally finished. While they were all fighting one lane man walked to the Castle steps and entered inside without being noticed. Slowly, he dragged his body forward with all the power he could as he walked towards the throne room. His clothing was dirty and full of blood, his injuries hadn't even healed yet but he still kept going. All for the sake of one person, that was enough though. "I will stop you." Only one thing drove him forward in this moment and nothing would stop him. That face as she talked to him, the sadness and the call for help. "I know you're hurting...I know you're in pain...I'll save you, I swear." Even if this life was no longer hers, it was time for him to return the favour. It was his turn to save her life and make sure he set everything right.

"This time I'm not running away, we'll face it all together."

Passing through the door he was met with a battle already underway.
