Endless Worries

As he was running to her Xilo was in full panic mode with his emotions running at an all time high that he very rarely ever experienced before. Except the few other times he had experienced some of his spells before. Sometimes he even thought that maybe he was emotionless himself like others described him because of this but ever since he met Xelfia those feelings were slowly fading away as he experienced more and more by her side. Almost like she was slowly unraveling the twisted mess that he had become and now seeing her in this state finally made him realize fully how important she was to him. She was irreplaceable and if she died here who knows if he would ever recover from that.

"Xelfia!, Xelfia."

Quickly approaching where her body was he crouched down with his hands shaking as he picked up her body that was bigger then he last remembered it. "It has been a while after all." Checking her body over for any external injuries he checked every corner and inch of her but found nothing but she still wasn't responding and from his guess not breathing at all which scared him immensely. But after thoroughly checking her breathing specifically he noticed she was breathing just very shallowly so at least she was still alive. After confirming that he finally felt all his strength and tension leave his body as he Stumbled and sat on the ground free from his worries. Now might not have been the time but he seriously felt like he couldn't walk in the slightest so there was nothing he could do. Taking a minute to breath he finally recalled there someone else with them still and called her over.

"H...ey. Tearia can you come over now?"

He saw her standing still but since he assumed it was from shock similar to him he let her be until now when he needed her help. Breaking out of thought at the sound of Xilo's voice calling her she figured he was upset and turned to look in the direction his voice came from to see his head resting against a tree with a look of relief on his face with a lizard in between his hands that she had never seen before. At first she was confused as to why he was like that until it hit her that the lizard was probably Xelfia and with Xilo's current look she figured she wasn't dead after all. "Ahhh...Too bad. Nothings ever so easy is it." She was disappointed to find out she was still alive but she was just back to where she was before so it wasn't too big of a deal. With that she walked over to his side and started to help him.

"Xi-Xilo..Are you okay?"

"I am now, just a little tired out that's all."

"That's good. I'm guessing this is Xelfia."

Pointing at the red scaled lizard she asked just in case as she examined the lizard to see if it still was alive.

"Ha...yes it is. she's not dead thankfully just unconscious it seems."

"I can tell, Want me to hold her?"

"No."

An instant reply that slightly sent shivers down her back for the first time since meeting Xilo that somewhat scared her Tearia slightly recoiled back but quickly regretted it. Noticing his mistake and being too defensive, Xilo felt a little sorry but he was too worried at the moment and didn't care too much, especially considering the fact that he had only known Tearia for a day. He wouldn't let anyone near her if he could help it at the moment. For The first time as well Tearia also took the hint and remembered her grandmother.

"Hey Xilo, If you don't mind my grandma is a pretty skilled doctor that can take a look at Xelfia if you want? I'm sure it's better than doing nothing."

Hearing her proposal he took a minute to stop and think about it before finally agreeing with her. He didn't know any ways to help Xelfia recover and the best way to solve that issue was a doctor and he trusted Tearia more than someone he had never met. So even while feeling a bit pensive about it he knew being too paranoid and defensive was not a good thing in this kind of situation. Who knows he could possibly worsen Xelfia's situation more if he refused to go.

"That's fine. Thank you."

In a tone she had never heard coming from Xilo she shivered in delight a little as her body melted as his gentle voice washed over her. Excited her plan worked she jumped for joy inside. "One Step closer." Getting and staying on his good side was definitely the plan of action and she was getting closer and closer. If that didn't work though she had plenty of other ideas in mind but for now she would keep them to herself since this was working even if it was a little slow for her taste.

"Great! I'll take you there as soon as you can stand."

Beaming and smiling to herself she waited until Xilo could finally stand again as they started to walk out of the Astral Zone towards the entrance. Following behind her Xilo held Xelfia close to his chest as he walked. Well he may not be nearly as worried as before he still wasn't completely without them either. With slightly heavy steps he followed Tearia to her grandmothers and hoped that Xelfia would get better sooner rather than later.

"Xelfia..."

They weren't rushing at the moment to keep Xelfia safe so Xilo was pretty grateful for that because it gave him some time to think and he definitely had a lot of things to think about now. Carrying along Xelfia in his arms he slowly sunk into his thoughts as they made their way back down a familiar path.

"When will you wake up I wonder."

aaa I overslept so this is late. Sorry
