Reaching Out

A boy left all alone in the world after being abandoned by his mother in a poor clan that treated him harshly because he started showing signs of being different from other kids and the people around him. With him being ostracized more and more he became less and less of the cheerful young kid he use to be until eventually turning discreet and mute around others in hopes that they would stop being scared of him. Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? Or will people be there to catch him if he does once again?

Endless Night

Brushing Xilo's hair out of the way she waited for him to open his eyes.

"Good morning...Tearia."

Hearing a light whisper trying to wake him up, Xilo groggily half opened his eyes as he saw a strand of purple hair. Assuming Tearia was just trying to wake him up he ignored it as he tried to stop his head from pounding. He still wasn't used to teleporting around places so such a long distance had knocked him out pretty hard. "Maybe I can get Felli to help with that later, for now..." He just wanted to sleep but it seems Tearia wasn't having any of it as a soft whisper right next to his ear sent shivers down his spine.

"Oh, Mistaking me for another woman, Have you really moved on already? I'm quite hurt, you know, I thought we had something."

"Another woman?"

Hearing that slight edge of ice in her voice Xilo was sure whoever said that wasn't completely joking. Quickly opening his eyes he wondered what was happening as he looked up only to be met with a woman whose face was half morphed into a reptile. With Red scales that covered her entire face along with a very long nose that jutted out and a set of fangs he almost thought he was staring at an animal. "Uhhmm?" Looking up towards their eyes he saw one golden left eye and a red coloured right eye that were staring at him with a hint of familiarity along with a long vermillion set of hair that he couldn't forget. Seeing that, Xilo reached up to her face.

"Xe-Xe...lfia..?"

Pushing that name out of his throat he couldn't stop his hand from shaking the whole time. "She's real...?" Feeling tears build up in the corner of his eyes he felt her tongue run up and down his cheek happily confirming his thoughts as he cried like a child. He was a little curious as to why she seemed to be in her Astral beast form but truthfully he didn't care at all as long as she was okay. No matter what form she took to him she would always be the same old Xelfia that he fell in love with and right now she was actually alive in front of him.

"So you do remember after all, It's good to see you again Xilo."

Wiping some of the tears from his face he tried to form a sentence so he could actually talk to her.

"Are you okay?"

"Xelfia's fine Xilo, she is just going through a bit of a change as you can see. Though I might need to have her stay in her original form for a bit. Are you okay with that Xelfia?"

Seeing blue twin tails, Xilo was also surprised to see Relia here. He had thought for sure she had run away from them after what happened but here she was. Listening to Relia's advice, Xelfia knew it was best to not question it right now so she nodded her head as she let her original form take over. Seeing Xelfia's changes, Xilo looked at her glimmering scales as the sun bounced off them creating golden rays that blended in with her red scales creating a golden flame of sorts. "She's gotten quite big since last time if I remember right." Before he could hold her in his palms but now he was sure she could wrap herself around his whole body and unfortunately for Xilo that was exactly what she did.

"Xelfia!?"

*Hisss*

Unable to hear her properly anymore he turned to Relia and stared at her. All he got in return though was a shoulder shrug though as she continued her work after looping around to his back. Releasing a sigh of acceptance he looked around at everyone else staring at him as a bit of anxiety came. Spotting Tearia that was slightly further back than he thought she would be, he beckoned her forward as he looked at the other four who had practically had question marks above their head.

"Tearia come here and you four, well it looks like I have some explaining to do."

"That's for sure."

Smiling Zilan's loud voice broke the other three's tension as he laughed and walked up to Xilo. Soon the sun would be setting so setting camp up here wouldn't be a bad idea. With no one following them already and nowhere else to go it was the best option. It also gave Xilo time to explain a bit about what just happened. "Surrounded by three women eh? No, maybe four. Who knows." Shaking his head he didn't know what to think as he sat down beside everyone. Bringing out a couple sticks he had found he threw them on the ground and started a fire as the cold chill of the night passed over them. With Xilo's group on one side and Zilan's on the other they were both sure it would be a long night for them. Yet they both were sure it would be enjoyable nonetheless.

"Well Xilo, who's your friend here?"

Pointing towards Xelfia that was curled around Xilo currently, Zilan started the endless night of chatter. letting everyone talk Relia stuck to herself as she tried to help keep Xelfia in check. "Is everything going well Azalu?" "It's going better then I thought at least." Hearing Relia's complaints constantly she kept working. Astral Beast Phases were typically rather smooth unless problems occurred like for Xelfia. One wrong move meant Self destruction and it was something every Astral Beast had to go through four different times. Once at the very beginning that Xelfia was currently going through and three more as she went further down her evolution line. The only one that was truly difficult to get through was the final phase and that all depended on what type of Beast they were.

"Speaking of types of Astral Beast types, what one are you exactly?"

Whispering under her breath very faintly, the answer to that question eluded her even with all her knowledge

Enjoy.
