An Old Friend Returns

Glued in place Xilo felt sick as the words echoed in his mind without stopping. The rest of the crowd however was confused by the man's words but it at least broke them out of their fear. Grabbing their weapons, all of them got ready to fight. As one the hooded figure might have seemed scarier but they were together in a massive group. Along with his weird words their confidence was growing. They could do this as long as they were together. Charging together over fifty men and women ran for the figure in the distance.

"Not coming out then, A coward like always aren't you. Guess I need to take care of the trash first."

Counting up the people coming towards him, the hooded figure didn't make a move. Instead he waited for the first person to strike. Once he saw their blade enter his vision he drew his sword as he lightly dodged to the side before stabbing the man in the stomach. Not even bothering to confirm whether or not the man had died he moved on to the next. His slaughter had begun and none of these people could stop him. He had obtained this strength to take on a monster so normal human's were useless against him. Slicing another's body in half hesw a couple Elemental attacks coming for him but he was too fast. Sliding from one area to the next each strike resulted in a kill regardless of how strong they were.

"Weak. So very weak. Will you continue to let these people die, Monster? You're a hero are you not? That's what you've always looked up to after all yet people are dying in front of your eyes and yet you still cower. Did you change or did you just stop pretending or maybe you've realized the truth. Yilel must be quite disappointed in you. Oh well I guess they die."

Breaking a man's axe with his fist he punched right through his gut soon after. All these people were around the fifth to seventh stages of strength but to him they were weak. None of this required any effort from him. He was strong now, strong enough to not feel fear anymore. Compared to his past self he was a completely different person and he relished in the feeling. Ever since he found that spirit his life had begun to change for the better. It guided him and pushed his strengths to places he would never be able to reach before. So while it may have only been around half a year's growth. He was on par with years upon years of experience of work.

A talent like himself had become a monster in his own right.

"Xilo, are you okay? We need to help them."

"I'm...fine Xelfia."

That familiar voice rang out into the sky leaving Xilo stuck though. It sounded so familiar and yet he couldn't remember where it was from. To add it all up if before he felt like the man was crazy then now he knew he was wrong. That figure was talking to him without a doubt in his mind. "Who is he?" Trying to get a grip on himself he looked to see four women including Seli surrounding him. "Snap out of it." Picking his stomach back up after it felt like it dropped to the ground Xilo wiped his face as he got rid of the sweat that covered it. Slightly angry he watched another body fall to the floor as he finally moved a muscle.

"There's only half of us left, let's help. Hopefully we can do something."

With that each of the women took out their weapons as they got ready to fight. They were all worried about Xilo but they didn't have the time to know what was happening. The only two who were off were Seli and Tearia. Looking at Xilo those man's words came to surface again in her head. "Monster." Staring directly at Xilo she remembered two moments in time where she had felt the same way looking at Xilo. "Oh Xilo..." It seems from the look on the other girl's faces she was the only one who had seen Xilo's other side. So she stayed silent as anger bubbled up inside of her. "Don't worry, I'll give him a good hard punch for you." Even seeing the other side of Xilo she refused to think of him as a monster and she wouldn't accept others doing it either.

"Xilo is Xilo."

Joining the fight they were down to less then half now. No matter what any of them did, the hooded figure tore through them like lightning. Dashing from target to target he felt untouchable to them. Like a Lightning god he tore through them with one swift stroke before moving on to his next prey. Each exhale was a new body that littered the ground. Each inhale was more blood being spilled as fear set in. Every blink was their last as a sword sliced through them.

"Where are you!"

Shouting that there were only about twenty people left in the crowd and he still hadn't seen any sign of the monster. However in the next second he heard a couple pairs of footsteps approach him. Looking in their direction he saw four beautiful women and one lone silver haired man in between them all. Looking at that silver hair the hooded figure recognized his face instantly. He may have looked older now but it was still the same kid he used to pick on when he was younger. "There you are." Stopping in his tracks he pointed at the monster as more anger filled his body.

"There you are, finally decided to show yourself. You've kept me waiting, you freak of nature."

"Who are you, what do you want from me?"

"What I want from you is quite simple, I want you to die and who am I? I'm quite hurt that you've forgotten me. We used to be such good friends when we were young. We ran around the old Fiery clan buildings playing with each other. You, a freak of nature, a thing and me a human being. We were great friends until you took something important from me."

"....?"

"Still don't remember me? Maybe my name might ring a bell then. My name is Zelfin. Make sure you remember it this time and well you're at it give me back Yilel."

With an angry shout filled with rage and sadness that filled his entire body Zelfin rushed at Xilo while he was struck by a bolt of realization. Memories he had long tried to forget and an old friend that hated him. Hearing that name again triggered something deep inside Xilo as he looked up at Zelfin. This was the man who had caused him a lot of pain in the past. Too much to count almost and now he was back trying to cause him more pain. With an angry shout of his own he faced Zelfin head on.

"Zelfin!!!!!!!!!!"
