An Escape Attempt

Ignoring everyone else around her, Xelfia rushed straight at the man who had grabbed Kirel. "Why Kirel?" Attacking the man who was carrying Kirel, Xelfia made sure it would hurt a little extra. Energy flowed through her body as her Crimson Fangs appeared on her fists and slammed down into the man holding Kirel. "Don't touch her." The man who had grabbed the fox panicked seeing Xelfia's attack coming straight for him. The energy behind that was enough to crush more than a few bones. "Help." Barely squeaking that out, he felt a presence arrive in front of him and shield him from danger.

"Oh, The big bad leader moved."

Sarcasm dripped through her voice after her attack got blocked.

"Guh, Get going, I'll take care of her. We've got what we came here for."

Grabbing Xelfia's hands he slammed her into the ground while he directed his comrades. With the fox caught there was no longer a need for them to stay here. Feeling her body hit the floor, Xelfia felt a little pissed off. "Take Kirel from us? Pft." Breaking her fall, she used plants to slither around the ground and grab the man who held Kirel to stop his escape. Shouting to Tearia, she broke free of the man's grasp as she swept her legs his way trying to trip him. Causing him to fall forward a bit she punched him right in the gut and in the face right after.

"Sorry Tearia, I'm going to need you to distract those four for me. I'll deal with these weaklings instead."

Hearing her knuckles crack in satisfaction she stretched them out as she punched the man again while dragging the other forward. She didn't initially plan to go all out at first when she saw them because she figured she could take them without it or Xilo would show up. She always loved to act a little bit weaker than she really was to mess with Xilo and make him feel frustrated. "He hates being weaker than me." She knew that so she used herself to help push him forward which was why she took training so seriously nowadays. Now though she was going to treat these punks like a bunch of punching bags.

"I really hope your bones don't break too fast. Wanting to take from us, Heh. You're going to need to be stronger than that."

The leader summoned up a Fire Tornado around his body to try and protect himself however Xeflia casually doused water on it as another fist came his way. Watching from the corner of her eye, Tearia saw Xelfia having fun as she struggled to protect herself from four different people. "I hope she ends it soon." Unlike Xelfia she was actually in a struggle against all these attacks. Especially whenever they tried to go after Xelfia. Along with her current condition it was a miracle she was even standing still. Fighting against them for a few minutes she eventually let one escape from her grasp.

"Xelfia!"

With Tearia's panicked voice coming from behind her and Xelfia being distracted with fighting she ended up missing the presence behind her. In a second everything went wrong as a large sword dug into her back. Feeling heat run through her body, Xelfia was in a lot of pain. Her vision went blurry as she kicked backwards at the figure who stabbed her. "I got too arrogant..." More pain attacked her mind as blood seeped through her clothing. Looking at the leader in front of her she made a decision. Energy filled Crimson Fangs as she smashed his face one more time ignoring Tearia's pained shouts. Another blade stabbed into her while her fist connected with the man's face.

*Crrrrcchh*

Knocking out all of his teeth she was pretty sure she heard his entire jaw get cracked as blood poured out of his mouth before falling to the ground. Looking down at the dagger in her stomach she pulled it out as she looked at the man caught in her vines escaping. "Fuck." Falling down she made her way towards him as he escaped out of the giant hole that was created before. "Kirel!." With her hands on the ground she watched as he disappeared.

"Dammit, dammit!"

Seeing their partner leave the three men leftover switched back and forth between the exit and their leader before also running away. Their goal was accomplished and they had lost their leader. It was time to leave even if they wanted to stay. Unable to stop them Tearia tried to gather her breath as she walked towards Xelfia and quickly pulled the sword out of her back. "She needs help right now." If she wasn't as weak as she was she would have ran after them. "Why." Taking out some medicine she did her best to calm Xelfia down as her tears hit the floor. Both had one constant thought that haunted them.

""It's my fault.""

Leaving a few bodies behind him Xilo tried to calm down as he headed back to the Inn. "If they're after us they could be attacking the others too." He didn't have time to second guess himself or worry about others that weren't them. Keeping his blades hidden the two of them swiftly ran back. Weaving through streets Xilo controlled his breathing as they neared the Soaring Blades area. "Almost there." Multiple thoughts went through his head that kept him in a panic. "They'll be fine." Telling himself that he saw Relda but he ignored her, he didn't have time. Seeing Xilo and Relia cross by her, Relda tried to chat and say hi to them before she noticed the blood that covered their clothing.

"Hi Relia and....Xi..lo?"

Within seconds they had already left her behind. Confused at their condition she followed them. "What happened?" Staying a little bit further behind them another set of eyes followed Relda and Xilo's path as they followed along. Getting Closer to the Inn Xilo's breathing got more hurried with each step. "I can see it." It was a little far away but he saw the roof of it from where he was.

"Huh?

Enjoy.
