A Small Bond Is Formed

Staring at Althea, Xilo sat there with nothing else better to do while trying to keep his body as relaxed as possible. "It feels weird." Every movement he made or thing he did no longer felt the same as before, almost like it wasn't even his body anymore. He felt similar to a deflated balloon but he was getting used to it again. "I wonder why she fell asleep here..." He had been watching Althea for an hour now ever since he had woken up but he couldn't quite wrap his head around why she was here.

"I guess she was just tired..."

Saying some of his first words since last night he recoiled at the roughness of his voice as he watched Althea's eyes flutter open and stare at him but he didn't do anything except stare at her. Opening her eyes to Xilo first thing in the morning Althea instinctively tried to crawl backwards until she realized she couldn't with the prison wall behind her. Giving up she remembered last night and how weak he was now as some of that fear disappeared along with her mental power returning. "Why did I sleep here?" Not quite understanding that herself she continued to look at the boy until she decided to greet him.

"Morning."

She may not like him in the slightest but they were going to be together for a while from now on so it was best if they could at least get along to some extent, he was her key to everything after all and she didn't want another repeat of last time. Hearing her talk to him so casually a flash of surprise entered his eyes as he cleared his throat trying to get rid of the scruffiness his voice had as he replied. "Might as well, it's something to do anyway if anything else." For some reason she fascinated him and he wanted to follow that instinct and want more.

"Morning."

Repeating her words he wasn't used to these kinds of things in the slightest anymore. For too long had he roamed the world all alone just trying to survive. The thought process of trying to communicate with people or be nice to him had long become something foriegn to him and it wasn't easy. "Solitude is a lot easier." Only ever having to care about yourself and nothing else was nice but he couldn't have that anymore thankfully he still remembered some things though from when he was with his family. Seeing Xilo actively reply to her, she felt a little surprised. "Weird." Yesterday she could barely get a reply out of him by inflicting pain.

"How are you feeling? Pain, discomfort?"

"Weak...other than that I'm fine."

"Well you'll get over that eventually, for now your body is just readjusting itself."

Saying that she stretched her body while sitting up herself. "Maybe not the best idea." Feeling how stiff she was, she tried to get all the kinks out as she watched Xilo stare at her with some discomfort. "Weird kid." Feeling her body crack she sighed as she finally stood up and stared at Xilo doing similar to her. "With last night a success I just need to get the Curel's blood to get started again. That should take him a couple days or so to retrieve for me along with the other things so now it's just the waiting game." She was confident she would receive it nearly instantly if her father really wanted to but she assumed he would delay it on purpose for a little bit and she didn't mind that. "Of course I don't" Now it was just a matter of watching over Xilo for the next couple days and finding a way to entertain herself.

"Are you okay?"

Looking up from her thoughts after suddenly hearing a voice she looked at Xilo after he asked such a weird question.

"Of course I am, why do you ask.?"

"You just seemed....out of it."

"I'm just still a bit tired, it's none of your concern."

"I see."

Leaving it at that he didn't press for more as he stared at her but he knew she wasn't telling the truth, something was bugging her, he just didn't know exactly what. However before he could think anymore about it he heard a question that shook his soul to it's core, something he so desperately tried to forget.

"I'd like to learn a little more about you and confirm some things Xilo and you don't have a choice.....Did you live in Fedant Town?"

However now that she had thought about it, learning about Xilo and getting some information from him was probably the best she could do with her time for now. So she took a shot in the dark with some of the information she recalled that they had gathered when they were trying to track him down last year. However what she thought was a harmless question caused Xilo to freeze in panic as the world around him went quiet for a couple seconds until he felt something slap against his cheek.

"Hey Xilo? Are you listening? You don't have a choice, answer me."

Slapping his cheek she tried to get his attention as she asked her question once again. She wanted to know the answer and clear up some of the holes she had found when they were learning about him. "Plus I'd like to know more myself." Besides some things Xilo was a complete mystery to her and that thought scared her. She much preferred to be in control if possible and currently with all these unknowns it didn't feel like she was. "Like for example, where did those blades come from." That wasn't something normal for anyone for something not to be created out of Astral Energy that the body used nor did what happened to him seem to be something normal either. "No one just turns into that kind of thing..." She had so many questions and now that she could finally ask them she wanted answers, which she was going to get one way or another.

Enjoy.
