Quiet life

In the kingdom of Lugunica or sometimes people would called Lugcina, in the bazaar a young man with a pale complexion was currently handling what seemed to be small fruit stand.

This young man wasn't an ordinary one as he wasn't originally from this world, his name was Chris and he is someone who was reincarnated as an Orphan in the world of Re:Zero.

Chris at first panicked as he knew about the messed up reality of this world, as after living in it for almost 18 years he had seen many and done many things he would have never done in his first life. But after realizing that the world of Re:Zero wasn't all dangerous when you lived in the kingdom where the supposed strongest human existed he currently had a quiet life away from danger.

"Oi Oi Oi!"

Well as quiet as a life of someone who was constantly targeted by thieves and thugs almost every day could have, you see Chris didn't just reincarnate in to such a dangerous world without a cheat of course he was just a regular human. Except for the fact that he wasn't a human in this world but a human from the X!Tale version of Undertale, specifically he was a carbon copy of X!Tale Frisk down to the very minute detail. This meant he not only had Frisk's abilities and soul but he also had his 'System' which consisted of the Save, load Reset, and even the Overwrite button which had a glitching 'X' stopping him from using the literal most powerful ability in this current world which was the ability to Overwrite reality itself of course it had some limitations but it was still a very powerful ability.

"Ton, Chin, Kan. Can we just not do this today?"

Chris called the trio of thugs/thieves by their aliases which he honestly found stupid, Chin who heard this was annoyed as Chris had quite a reputation back a few years ago for being the strongest and fastest thief when he was living in the slums. But ever since christ became 15 and moved out of the slums and was able to find a job and somewhere to live in the main district of the Kingdom he had disappeared.

And the Trio were obviously envious of him as in their eyes Chris was very lucky as not anyone could just leave the slums as gangs made sure of it, but from what they heard Chris defeated those gangs easily but they didn't care. They couldn't believe the same puny and weak crhis they used to mess with could defeat a whole gang by himself.

"Now why don't you empty your pocke-"

But before Chin couldn't finish his sentence all three of them were sent flying by what seemed to be 3 Red Glowing knives that a appeared out of thin air and impaled them but strangely didn't harm them, Chris sighed at the foolish attempt of the trio but not wanting to deal with them in the future he did something that no one expected.

"Guards! GUARDS!!"

He screamed for the guards which wasn't that common as the Trio of thugs were considered more of a nuisance by the citizens who knew them, but for Chris they were an annoying nuisance that he wanted to get rid of so after a few minutes of screaming the guards arrived to take the trio and hopefully actually hold them accountable for their crimes.

"Didn't know you could scream like a canary brat" suddenly a tall bulky man with green hair went up to Chris on his shoulders was a little girl with the same green hair, this was the owner of the Fruit Stand Chris worked in his name was Kadomon Risch and the little girl on his shoulder was Plum his daughter.

"You expect me to just let them go with a slap on their wrist?" Chris asked his boss who could fire him at any moment with a tone filled with sass but Kadomon just smirked before handing him a piece of paper.

"Then you're saying I should've called the guards instead of giving you a job when you tried stealing my goods eh?"

Kadomon words on caused christ to grunt before looking at the piece of paper he had received, it was a delivery request from Arlam Village. Specifically 10 crates of fruits were requested by the head of village as it was almost winter and they were stocking up on supplies.

For Chris the name sounded familiar but what he didn't know was the village was the very same village that was located in the territory of Mathers Mansion, but you couldn't blame Christ for forgetting as he wasn't someone who could remember every detail of this world from an anime he had watched 18 years ago.

"You should get going brat, it's almost sundown and they requested this to be delivered early in the morning so you've got a long night ahead of you. And I'm about to close the stand up anyways"

"Hmm? Why so early?"

Chris knew Kadomon only closed early if he had something to do but after looking at Plum who was nervously looking away he was even more confused.

"Well you see Plum here got lost but thankfully some white haired girl helped her get back to me, so I'm closing up the stand so I can bring her back home and since you're going out on a delivery I might as well close up for the day"

Chris seemed to have stopped in his tracks as he was about to leave he couldn't help but focus on Kadomons words specifically about Plum being helped by a white haired girl, sure he may have only vague memories about the plot of this world but he knew that Plum being helped by some white haired girl was a crucial detail.

'God it's Emilia, lets hope Subaru is actually here.'

For the last years that Chris had been reincarnated he had hope that he didn't need to be in contact with any of the main characters but sadly fate seemed to be quite the wench, as no Subaru meant that Emilia was going to die by the hands of a crazy assassin and if she were to die the whole world was gonna end thanks to a specific floating cat and he couldn't let that happen.

"Hey old man after this delivery I'm quitting my job"

"Haah!?"

"I've saved up enough money to move somewhere else I'm thankful for you taking me off the streets so I'm gonna do this last delivery!"

Without saying anything else Chris ran towards not the stables where the Earth Dragon was located but towards the slums, Kadomon only sighed at the boys antics but he didn't mind letting him go as he had already been payed by the head to Deliver the fruits and the Earth Dragon cart was a rental that would return to the owner after the delivery so he didn't mind Chris quitting.

"So Plum what do you think of helping Papa at the stand tomorrow?"

Chris grew up in an orphanage at the slums so at a young age he had to deal with bratty older kids trying to beat him up, that was when his Soul first appeared

Standing infront of the door of the loot house Chris readied himself by making a red glowing knife appear on each of his hands, before slamming it open to be greeted but sight Emilia about to be impaled in the stomach.

Without waiting any further Chris threw one of the knives towards the attacker which caused their attention to go from Emilia to him, Chris threw a knife towards the ceiling and o ce it made contact it made a red explosion causing the ceiling to be destroyed and the whole place to be illuminated by the moon light.

"Old man Rom!!!"

A little girl in the corner of the building was trying to stop the bleeding of a colossal figure who was slowly dying on the ground.

'Not good his HP is going down quick'

Now another ability of Chris was to see the health of a person by focusing on them for the ACT ability of CHECK would automatically apply, Emilia was still stunned as on her point of view in one second she was about to be stabbed and in the another a stranger was now infront of her protecting her from the attacker.

"Can you perform healing magic?"

Chris asked Emilia despite knowing the answer he still needed to act as if he didn't know anything, Emilia after a few seconds of being confused nodded.

"Good if you can heal the man on the corner I'll handle this"

With a flick of his wrist another knife appeared on his left hand and now he was looking at the curvy figure of the attacker, and it took him all his willpower to not say 'Gyat' as the Bowel Hunter Elsa was nice in full display thanks to the moonlight.

"Oh? I didn't expect someone to appear out of no where~, tell me boy what is your name?" Elsa asked while looking at not Chris's eyes but instead his lower region specifically where he intestines were located at.

"Its an honor for the great Bowel Hunter to be interested in me, the names Chris no last name."

Chris was prepared for any attack to come at him but right now he was more focused on trying to activate the FIGHT mechanic of his 'System' as like ACT he had to concentrate on his opponent for a few seconds for it to initiate but sometimes it would automatically do so when he is attacked first.

But in this case it was him who attacked first and he hasn't figured out how to automatically activate it as he hasn't been to focus on the 'System' but instead worked more on his physical and SOUL abilities.

Suddenly as Elsa took out another dagger a blank white heart appeared right above her actual heart, meanwhile a red heart with a purple hue appeared hovering near Chris's chest.

"You're dead."

With a flash Chris appeared behind Elsa ready to decapitate her, Elsa was able to see him move in the last second and block it using one of her daggers. But what she didn't expect was as his knives clashed with her they seemed to have morphed to phase though her dagger and struck her chest causing her to bleed and dash back taking a defensive stance.

Lvl: Null

A Deadly assassin, with an obsession with seeing the Bowels of her Victims.

Unlike Chris who gets EXP by killing as despite being a normal Human he wasn't the same type of Human as the one's in this universe so Elsa couldn't gather EXP points so her Level was Nulled, but despite that in no matter what universe or reality they were in, the SOUL still existed but unlike him she couldn't use her SOUL.

So hers and anyone else's soul would always be White as they would never be able to gain a trait without being an entity from an Undertale Universe.

"You see that little white heart above your chest? that's your soul, take a good look at it as it's going to crumble and turn to dust soon"

[FIGHT!]

Chris dashed towards aiming for her head once more, Elsa saw it coming but instead of blocking she dodged the attack but what she didn't expect was her apparent soul to be covered in Red strings before seeing the strings attached to Chris's finger tips.

For the past 14 years after awakening his soul at the age of 4 Chris has been training his abilities and with the knowledge of watching the Underverse he had seen many abilities he had copied, and with the access to his SOUL he is able to perform Soul Magic and after years of practice he was able to do many things.

*Vmmmm*

As Elsa was pulled she saw a floating skull of what she considered a dragon made of pure red energy as in its jaw was ball of unstable red like energy.

"See ya."

*VAAAM!!!*

And with that Chris's version of a gaster blaster fired a beam of his DETERMINATION point blank at Elsa turning her to nothing but ashes, and with that he had just eliminated the bowel hunter only leaving her cloak giving Chris a good piece of equipment.

And he was sure he has killed her due to the fact he had gained another level.

A Normal Human.

Chris looked at the remains of Elsa's soul and didn't feel any sort of pity towards her, unlike normally killing a person Chris has the ability to destroy a person's actual soul meaning that they couldn't even go to the afte life but instead he would gain EXP.

And since in this world no one was actually Leveled he would always gain the same amount of Exp no matter who he killed the only exception was that they had to have a big enough soul.

"T-Thank you!"

Chris turned to Emilia who has just finished healing who he knew as old man from and the little girl as Felt.

"Forgot you were here..."
