Re:Zero, Power Driven Madness (Finished)

A guy dies and is reincarnated into re zero. Simple enough right? But what if he wasn’t crazy and instead was a normal human being who wanted to avoid dying? What if he wanted at least some form of power to avoid being chained by a certain crazy witch and her army of obsessed simps!!! ——————- I do not own Re:Zero, all works and achievements go towards Tappei Nagatsuki

A last minute visit

...

Lying on my back, Rem is silently pressing her head upon my chest. She has a peaceful smile present on her face. Seeing this, I feel a genuine sense of happiness.

"What are you thinking about Rem?" I asked her as I softly brushed her blue hair with my hand.

She brought her hand upon my own before intertwining our fingers and looked up to me with a gentle smile and eyes full of happiness.

"I was thinking of you silly Suburu."

"When did I get a nickname?"

Rem then started to giggle cutely before leaning her bare chest upon my own and grabbing onto both my shoulders and leaned into my ear.

"Just now." She whispered as she leaned her head back before giving me a long and passionate kiss. I softly laid a hand upon her waist and brought the other behind her back as I returned her offering.

I just didn't want this moment of happiness to leave me. And I knew she also wished for this to last probably just as bad.

When we finally broke our kiss, we were gasping for air. Our hair was messy, our eyes full of love, the taste of the others drool present on our tastebuds, we both wanted to see and know more about the other.

I then brought my hand off her waist before placing it softly on her thigh. I then slowly moved it up before stopping, I wanted Rem's permission.

Rem just looked me in the eyes for a few seconds before leaning in to give me a kiss. She then moved her hand over mine before leading it up in a slow manner.

But we both suddenly froze in shock as a loud series of bangs came from the door. I could only feel embarrassed and angry, it was about to get good!

I seriously felt like jumping out of bed and beating whoever was behind it to a pulp! But Rem just put her hand on my cheek before leaning into my ear.

"We'll continue at a later date silly Suburu." She said with a whisper while giving my earlobe a slight nibble.

She then calmly got up from my lap and started to get dressed only to find out that all she had was her now torn nightwear. I kind of lost myself in the moment last night and ripped it off.

She then threw me a slight pout before pausing in thought only to then smile brightly. "Hey Suburu, did you bring that tracksuit or whatever you call it?"

"Uh, yeah? I was planning on wearing it for the ba-, Wait... you're not planning to wear it are you?!"

Rem walked up to me before sticking the torn nightwear up to my face to tease me. "Well, I can't wear this now can I?"

Looking to the side in embarrassment, I point towards a certain drawer of a dresser. "Fine, it should be in that one."

She then happily walked over and searched through the drawer before pulling out the tracksuit. I then turned around to give her privacy as I also got dressed.

Now dressed, I straightened out the cuffs of my outfit before looking over at Rem. Her blue hair is a bit messy and is currently showing both of her ocean blue eyes.

The track suit fits loosely onto her body with her hands covered by the sleeves. The pants couldn't fit her, but the tracksuit could cover her body just enough to count as a mini skirt.

The zipper was zipped up low enough to only show her cleavage. The reason for this was because If we zipped it up too much, her underwear would show.

I then look towards the door before ushering her to stand behind me. Rem just nods and tightly snuggles up behind me. I don't want to show too much of her to whoever is outside.

"Good morning Suburu, it is time."

Opening it, I see Wilhelm calmly standing in front of me. He then sends a look between us and noticed Rem wearing my clothes.

Looking into my eyes, we have a quick talk with our eyes. He then smiles a bit before nodding as we came to a understanding.

"Ok, I'll give you time to prepare, I presume you need some clothes for the miss also?"

Coughing, I look to the side with a blush. Rem gives a bright blush also before hiding her face behind my back.

"Y-yes, t-that would be much appreciated, thank you."

...

Walking into the main hall of the Crusch household with Rem by my side, I see lady Crusch armored up with a sword sheathed one her side.

I also look around and notice the knights under her standing to the side of the room. In front of her is an aged man in outdated knight armor. Behind him is a small troops worth of also aged men in the same armor.

I actually saw this type of armor in one of the books on Lugnica's military history. It however just showed many outdated tactics that are now obsolete compared to current ones along with many famous victories and infamous losses. The knight depicted in a illustration wore the same armor they are currently carrying.

Noticing me, the man gave a look of surprise before turning back to Crusch to give her a few more words. Once done he calmly walked over to me and put his hand on my shoulder.

"So you're the young lad who made this day possible. I don't think you know this kid, but you have done me a huge favor to give me a chance to slay that bastard of a beast. If I make it out alive to see tomorrow, I owe you one."

And with that he patted me softly on the shoulder again before walking towards Wilhelm. Watching the two for a moment, I sensed a bit of familiarity in the way the expressed themselves towards one another.

"Surprised?" Crusch said to me as she tapped me on the back making me turn my attention to her.

"Well I'm not, you are the one who made this day a possibility. Without you, I'm sure we wouldn't have been as nearly as prepared as we are now."

"Thank you for praise, but have we got all the equipment and weapons together? Do we also have backup plans B, C, D, and E prepared?"

Raising an eyebrow at my reaction, Crusch just lowers her hand to her side before nodding.

"Yes, as sure as I am that we probably will need B, I'm not nearly as sure as C. And we most definitely won't need D and E."

Sighing in relief, I look towards all the people present inside the room. All of them are doing something different. Some are simply chatting with the friends they have made over the years.

Others are silently sitting down getting their mind honed for battle. And the old men all have an eager aura about them, they are without a doubt the most eager out of the bunch.

"When are we heading out to meet with Iron Fang?"

"We should head there in the afternoon." Crusch said as she tightened a loose strap that was present on her left arms bracer.

"If all things go according to schedule, we should also get the mage's to arrive at that time also. The merchants came by a have already given the required equipment and weapons, they will come back the next morning once the battle is over."

"And all information has been kept tightly secure as you requested."

Heading her, I feel a smile come on mu face. We had spent a long time on the first day going over counters to the White Whale's abilities. Doing so had brought us to the way thing are now.

As of now, I'm confident we have a definite fighting chance against this beast. We've had plenty of time to prepare after all.

"That is good, Is my visitor here?"

Crusch then raises an eyebrow towards me before waving her hand towards Wilhelm. Noticing the wave Wilhelm comes over and bows.

"What is your needs my lady?"

She then points her finger towards me and Rem.

"Lead these two towards the guest that arrived this morning. And then personally escort them to the designated meeting point once they are done."

"As you wish my lady." Wilhelm says to her before raising his head to turn towards us. "Please follow me."

Following him, we reach a certain room before he stops. Wilhelm then turns and opens the doors before allowing us in first.

Seeing a familiar scarred and old figure, I let smile out a smile as I sit down to face him.

"Hey old man, hope I didn't keep you waiting to long."

Hearing me, the man turned his one eye towards me before letting out a grimace. "Kid, I should honestly charge you extra for treating a old man like a deserted woman on her wedding day, but you promised me something interesting."

Rolling my eyes, I place my hands onto the table in front of me before leaning in to berate him. "Like you have the right to be talking about marriage old man!"

We then stare at each other for a good few minutes before bursting out into mad laughter.
