Chapter 1

Harry was sat in the Griffindor common room. His friends and a tearful Ginny stood around him.

"How could you break my sisters heart Harry! Did you cheat on her? Or did you not like her in the first place? Hm? How could you!" Ron yelled at him and harry looked down.

You see. Harry had recently come to terms with the fact that, he was gay. And he didn't want to stay hiding his true self by being with Ginny.

He looked up, his eyes angry. "Because I'm Gay! Okay Ronald! Is that what you wanted to hear?! That I broke up with her because I like men?!" He yelled at the other and Ron's eyes widened before he glared.

"Get out." He says and Harry blinks.

"W-What?" He asks, a little confused.

"Get out of my face Harry. You're not staying with us over the summer either! Find a way to fend for yourself! We're not friends anymore. I can't be friends with a faggot! I don't want to ever talk to you again!" Ron yells and Harry looks up.

He stands up and runs out of the common room, heading to the bottom floor boys bathroom and going inside, sitting against the door and bursting into tears.

He didn't think they'd act this way. Yeah he knew that Ron would be mad but he thought the other would at least accept him.

But no. And now he had nothing.

Nowhere to stay over the summer. No home. And no friends.

While in tears a certain blonde boy was heading into the bathroom after he'd just caught up on next weeks work with snape.

As he pushed the door open he heard crying and looked down to see that it was Harry.

Draco nearly broke. He wanted so much to be the others friend but the other didn't want to be, yet he right now, wanted to comfort the boy.

He closed the door and slid down next to him. "Hey Potter. What's wrong. You seem upset." He says in a sincere voice and Harry looks up, wiping the tears from his eyes.

"If you're here to make fun of me then go away Malfoy! There's mr Harry Potter. The faggot with no family!" He says through tears and this hurt his heart even more.

Draco gently hugged the other and tried to help him calm down. "Potter. I'd never take the piss out of anyone who was gay. Actually a lot of my house is gay, including me. And you might have no family. But I always feel like I don't either. They avoid my existence." He says as he hugs the other and Harry sniffles.

"Ugh. I'm such an idiot." He says with a small laugh through tears and draco looks confused.

"You knew didn't you?" He asks and draco sighs.

"That you were gay before you knew and that the Weasley's were homophobic and that's why you shouldn't be friends with them? Yeah. I did." He says says and Harry just sighs, nuzzling into Draco's embrace.

Harry takes a deep breath. "I.. I need to talk to Dumbledore.." Harry says and Draco looks at him confused.

"Why would you need to do that?" He asks and Harry looks at the other.

"When I got sorted. The hat. It gave me a choice. I was naive. I thought you were being mean to me and my friends so I chose Griffindor. But.. I was also allowed to choose Slytherin as well." He says and Draco's eyes widen.

Harry Potter. Was nearly a slytherin?!

"I'm gonna. See if I can switch houses.. they all.. they all hate me Malfoy. And I know your house does too.. but. If I could explain to them, maybe I'd fit in better." He says and Draco's heart beats faster.

The boy he'd wanted to be friends with for so long. The boy he'd had a crush on since 2nd year. Could be in his house?

Harry smiles and wipes his tears. "Can you.. can you come with me?" He asks and Draco nods quickly.

As they start walking draco looks at Harry. "Hey Pot-Harry. Does. Does this mean we're friends now?" Draco asks him and Harry chuckles.

"Yes Draco. This means we're friends now everything you've done, was to protect me. And it took me a long time to realise but now I know." Harry says with a smile and Draco smiles back.

The two get to the statue and Harry speaks the secret password.

The statue opens to stairs and draco just looks shocked.

Harry chuckles and takes his wrist gently, pulling him up the stairs.

Harry then knocked on the door twice before opening it.

"Hey. Dumbledore. Is it alright if I have a word with the sorting hat?" Harry asks, his cheeks still stained red with tears and Dumbledore nods.

"Of course Harry. If it's something you truly want. Then yes. Have a word with him." He says and Harry nods.

"It is headmaster." He says as he goes to the room where the sorting hat was sat.

He picks it up and places it on his head. "Ah. Harry Potter. Is something wrong?" The hat asks and Harry takes a deep breath.

"When I was first sorted. You gave me a choice. You let me choose the house I wanted to be in. I realise now, that I made the wrong choice. Is it. Is it possible to change?" Harry asked, his voice wavy and sorrowful.

The sorting hat chuckled. "Harry. You got into both houses. And if it is something you truly want, then yes. You do have the ability to change." The sorting hat says and Harry smiles.

"Then sorting hat. Re-sort me." Harry says and the air glows around him.

The glow then engulfs him and his tie and robes start to glow. The red disappearing and a green appearing in return.

"Harry Potter. You are now. A Slytherin." The hat says and Harry takes the hat off and places it back where it was sat.

Draco looks over to him. "So. This is real. You're, you're now a slytherin?" Draco asks and Harry chuckles.

"Yea I am. And the Griffindor house elves will be removing my things from the dorms there, and taking them to the slytherin dungeon." Harry says with a chuckle and draco gives the other a huge smile.

The Griffindor house elves all whisper. "He's changed house? His things must be moved right away!" They spoke as they appeared in dormitory and collected Harry's things.

Ron was talking with Seamus in the common room as they headed upstairs. But once they were there. All of Harry's things were gone.

It was as if no one ever staged in the bed. It was stripped down, and looked as if no one owned it.

Seamus blinks. "What? Where's all of Harry's things gone?" He asks and Ron looked confused.

"What the fuck? Maybe he left Hogwarts. Good riddance if that's the case." He says and Seamus blinked.

"Sorry. What did you just say Ron?" He asks and Ron chuckles.

"He was a faggot Seamus. There was no place for him here." Ron says and Seamus' eyes widen and he glares.

"The fuck did you just say Weasley?!" Dean says at the door and Ron shrugs.

"There's no place for faggots here." He says and they both glare at him.

"Ron. We're fucking gay you dick." Seamus and Dean say as they glare at Ron. Ron's eyes widen.

"No you're not guys? You're just best childhood friends and just close.. aren't you?" He asks and they both shake their heads before intertwining their hands.

"No. We are together Ron. You're just a cunt. We'll stay with the girls tonight." They says and head across the hall and to the girls dormitory.

Ron stands there. Pissed off and annoyed.

"Fucking faggots." He mumbles and heads to bed.

Harry and draco head to the dungeon and draco opens the door, stepping inside with Harry hiding behind him.

Everyone looks over as he steps inside. "Hey everyone! Listen up!" Draco says and everyone looks at him.

"We have a new member of our house. We've wanted him for years. But today he was outcasted from his old house, for being himself. So everyone. I bring you our new house member. Harry Potter." He says as he steps to the side and Harry looks at them all nervously.

Everyone looks at him and their eyes widen. "No. Fucking. Way." Pansy Parkins said.

Everyone then clapped. Harry relaxed and draco chuckled. "Welcome to Slytherin Harry. The house that accepts all for who they are. As long as they're not homophobic fuckers." Draco says and everyone goes back to their conversations.

Draco takes Harry's wrist and pulls him over to Pansy, Blaise, Theodore and another Slytherin girl.

"Hey guys." Draco says and they all wave.

"Hey Draco. Hiya Harry. We've wanted you here for so long. Glad you finally realised who you are." Blaise said as he leaned over and kissed Theodore's cheek.

Harry looked at them and felt comfortable. Pansy chuckled. "I'm sure the person who will make you feel like this is just around the corner Harry." Pansy says as he nuzzles the girl next to her and gives him and wink and draco realises he's still holding Harry's wrist and lets go, both of them blushing.
