402 The Second Prince

After learning some information from Sera, I immediately asked my maids about the things that happened while I was gone, and hearing them shocked me beyond belief.

"The empress was in a critical condition?"

She almost died? Is that why my father looked more tired and restless than ever?

"That's what we've heard, my lady. But you can ask the lord more about it."

Right, I should ask my father about it later. 

What's more, not only the empress but also the queen and some important officials were critically injured. Some of them even died, and it seems like Ezekiel suffered a setback too. Although he wasn't severely wounded, he was still hurt during the confrontation. It's a good thing that his wounds are easily curable.

"What did you say? A prince? What do you mean?"

"Apparently, there is a second prince, my lady."

More question marks appeared on my head.

"But isn't the second prince dead? He was stillborn."
