Chapter 15: Thank You

Perseus POV

"Not you again."

"You used to be excited to see me, what went wrong?" Leilah smiled "I remember us being more than friends, you know."

Simple, that's cuz she was freaking me out with those stupid messages, not yet time, it's close, blah blah blah, my life was on a good track and everything, I may have been living a very mediocre life, but I was even allowed to retire early and still live a somewhat average life while enjoying a few luxuries here and there.

It's not like like I hate this life, it's better and everything, but I at least wanted to live to the end before coming here just to really enjoy life, if you know what I mean.

"I got a question though, why do I look exactly like I was in my past life?"

"When I marked you plus the effects of the array, in the case you'll die, you will retain your looks and genes, and your current mothers seem to have match, so you are now basically the same man just a different alternate life." she answered

"What? That's boring."

"Why are you complaining?" she asked "Look at your previous self, you're hot."

She then casted an illusion of what I looked like and will look like, same white hair, same light brown skin and same colored eyes.

Don't worry, even if I'm plain, a plain fictional character still look better than you readers.

"I grew to barely 176cm, come on, I just want a chance to be slightly taller. Just tell me why you're here if you're not gonna tell me where you are."

She then pulled me to sit on the staircase again, much to my reluctance. She then leaned her head close in and started to even...sniff me? What the fuck did I get into?

"I knew it, I sense one of my siblings on you." She commented "It's...is it Ruka?"

"Why the hell did you sniff me?!"

"That's low, you moved from me and then immediately went after my own sister..." she faked a few tears "I might just turn into the demon lord."

"I sympathize with him a lot and this case isn't the same, I think the first hero should have offered his head after he stopped having kids. You on the other hand...you're alright, I guess."

"She's sensed that you've been taken and she's trying to enter our merged dreams." Leilah commented "Do you have anything to say to me in private before I let her in?"

"Not really, she hasn't seen you in a while, so go ahead, she definitely miss you dearly."

With a wave of her hand, a strong storm of glowing blue rose petals fly in and swirl in a spot to reveal Ruka.

"Perseus, are you alright?" she asked and focused on me

"Oh, you actually care about my well being, I'm touched."

"Wher-...Leilah?"

"You must have gotten rusty if you can't even sense who this was by before entering." Leilah chuckled and walked down the stairs.

It would have been a really touch and beautiful sisters reunion hugging moment if it weren't for Ruka falling face first on the ground. Well rollin the music as I sit in the background as a random 3rd wheel.

After their happy hugging as I ate sone lucid dream popcorn, Ruka then told her sister how she was tricked and now forced to be in my clutches.

"Where are you?! I don't recognize this place, we will go find you." Ruka declared

"I will tell you when the plan is right, I really thought my...I thought Perseus was joking at first, I didn't think he would earn a place amongst the lords." Leilah giggled at how funny the story was

"My what?! What is he to you?!" Ruka demanded "How did you 2 even know each other and I thought you said someone needs to-OH! HE'S NOT ACTUALLY SMART, HE'S JUST AN ADULT PRETENDING TO BE A CHILD!"

She actually realized the solution that quick? Hmm, I may have underestimated her, she may got value after all. And for the record, I am a child.

"No, I'd say he's pretty smart, you fell directly into his trap the moment he walked in." Leilah corrected "Besides, what he is to me isn't important, as for how we met...hmm...let's leave that for another time, long story."

"It's gonna be awkward with everyone in the village now, especially know that a new lord is young." I chimed in "Will people kill me cuz Edward will definitely spill the beans?"

"Don't worry, with my sister on your side, not a lot of people would be able to defeat you for a long while, unless it's the demon lord." Leilah reassured "People just have no reason to kill you unless you decide to massacre everybody, then the lords will come after your head, the combined strength of a guardian and a lord combined obviously overpowers a child and a guardian."

"Will people grovel under my feet?"

"Depends." she shrugged

They then catch up a few things like how they've been as I was just left there, I guess that's the rose mystery done, so now left me with the demon lord mystery, I checked the laws, there are certain spots on the 2 main demon race continents that allows us to visit as long as we're not nobles, rose lords are definitely allowed since they are seen as neutral existences...apart from the older brother of Edward who publicly announce that he's siding against them.

Well I need to also go to the main kingdom of my continent first that overlook all the territory apart from the Paradis Tree...seems like fun.

"Oh who's the hot guy?" Ruka pointed to the illusion Leilah put up earlier

"Sis, like really focus." Leilah replied "White hair, a tanned skin, golden brown colored eyes...seems familiar?"

"If you say out the description like that...wait." Ruka really in slow on connecting the dots, huh... "Ew, I find him hot!"

"Thank you."
