14 Chapter 14: Is this A Good Enough Title?

3rd Person POV

Despite not being able to hear the conversation, they can see Ruka being truly enraged by the boy, Nyra and Rylee weren't having a good time as they felt a bit nauseous. Rylee half wants to run up there to apologize on his behalf and pull him back, but at the same time, he looks calm?

It is a strange sight, she spotted a tiny smile when Ruka turned around to do her tantrum. Aminu then pulled her away for a bit.

Since they do not want to be within the area of impact in the case she attacks, they walked back a bit past the sole exit/entrance where they can only see the bottom of the hill.

"That's what a scammer would do, unfortunately I've fallen for these mind tricks before." Perseus sighs

"So you're a chicken." she then gave a smug grin

"Hah, me, chicken? Never."

"Chicken." she puffed her cheeks and stick her tongue at him

"You KNOW WHAT?! I'LL DO IT TO PROVE THAT I'M NOT A CHICKEN."

"GO ON, DO IT THEN." she challenged me as he walked towards the blue rose with an 'enraged' expression.

He then with a quick swipe, he pulled the rose of the ground, the thorns punctured his fingers and caused it to bleed. With his bleed hand, he gripped it even further and hold it in front of him.

Perseus POV

"There! TOLD YOU I'M NOT A CHICKEN! HA!"

"Hmph." she puffed her cheek and turned the other way while crossing her arm.

She then realized what I've done, her face then quickly changed.

"Wait." she then turned right towards me

I then gave her MY smug grin.

"Well grandma, welcome to the modern world where people can use psychological warfare as a tactic." I laughed "If I remember correctly, you can't recant a lord once chosen, that means...I don't believe I've introduced myself, Perseus Silver, nice to trick ya, guess this is where I say, till death do us part."

The petals of the blue rose I'm holding started to peel off by itself while glowing, so were the roses on the hill, they all then flew up into the air and gather in this swirling petal storm before each petal explode into little blue light particles and float down slowly and go for my direction.

The light particles then touch my skin and sunk into it, I can definitely feel light changes throughout my body, I can see better, hear better and I feel stronger, my body felt...nice, al the light particles then rushed into me and disappeared.

"You-You tricked me!" she rightfully accused "I was tricked by a 10 year old, I can't believe it."

"This is usually where I do a JoJo pose, but unfortunately, I'm not muscular and it would look weird." So please just put a gif in my stead "Besides, I'm 8, you chose an 8 year old."

"I can't believe I made an 8 year old pluck my flower..." she then knelt down in defeat

"Oi, phrasing."

I then walked down and left Ruka up there to deal with her bad decision making for a bit. If what I read was correct, a guardian can like teleport to the lord and can stay pretty far from the lord once they are chosen and plucked the rose, so she'll come in a bit whether she likes it or not.

Mom Rylee rushed at me and checked me all over once I got to the bottom of the hill.

"You're alive, why is your hand bleeding?" she asked "So the blue rose guardian unleashing that petal storm earlier was just to warn you? Thank goodness."

"Oh, right, which watcher is the healer again? I haven't learned healing magic yet."

I'm looking forward to Ruka teaching me how to use the powers of the blue rose, the rose guardians does not truly know of each other's powers, so the only way to know some info are either by nearby witness and the speculation of the lords themselves.

As I was getting healed by a watcher, I can hear tiny gasp and both my moms turned towards a direction. It means she finally came down, so let's act cool and talk as if I know she's there without needing to turn my back.

"So?"

"Centuries of waiting, and I got the most anti climatic ending ever." she grumbled

I then turned to her.

"Ending? That was just the beginning."

"Fair, well till death do us part." she replied

It seems everyone didn't take long to figured out what happened, with the fact that she was journeying back t the village as well definitely reinforced their thoughts, Edward and his aide were no longer needed to be drugged and no one could careless since the location of the blue rose didn't matter anymore.

We arrived at late afternoon and were brought up by the elevated platform, the adults were mostly silent while the children were loud, the story will definitely spread, and to hide her embarrassment, Ruka hid how I got chosen.

Once we arrived up there, we all went home and I'll just leave the children to spread the news cuz I can't stop em, I mean 14 chapters? Hah, no one would have thought of it.

*Flashback*

3rd Person POV

2 men in lab coats were talking in an elevator and reading over a file. One was a newbie into this program so the other who is a senior is showing him the ways and giving him a tour of their facility.

"Is this your first time in a high end secret budget?" the senior one asked

"Of course, I'm not really nervous, just relieved I'm not assigned to deal with the black cases." the junior replied as they left and walked down a white hallway of rooms that was guarded and patrolled by armed soldiers in masks "How is this boy a red case?"

"Loki? He's a special one, alright, he fights back and have killed our people before, his hit count is high, so red is a good level." the senior replied "He is too young and weak for being a black case though."

They then arrived in front of the room they wanted which is at the end of the hallway and the plaque next to it confirmed that they're in the right room.

"Before we tour the whole facility, we'll have you check in on your future office first, come in." the senior then opened the door for him.
