Chapter 389 Miraculous Flower of Opportunity

To Dilan, it felt like buying the Artifact of Traction was a must.

He might have to work tirelessly to procure the necessary Essence Points but Dilan was pretty sure that it would be worth it.

"If I pick up some rare treasures from the abandoned islands, it should be possible to sell them for some profit, right?" Dilan wondered, not exactly sure if the Essence Shop would allow him to sell something that was not extremely valuable.

The only truly valuable thing, Dilan could think of was the object that generated the high pulling force. It was located on top of the abandoned island's mountain and Dilan was pretty sure that the Blazing Spinosaurus had protected it for some reason.

'As long as it hasn't been destroyed, I might be able to make use of this thing!' He concluded before he set off to the center of the abandoned island.

In a short time, Dilan climbed up and reached the top of the mountain, where he saw a single flower bud on the mountain top. It was not large and it had yet to blossom. However, what Dilan could detect was that its petals were silver with a blackish undertone outlining the petals' borders.

For a moment, he reconsidered harvesting the flower, only until he received a system notification that made him halt.

[[Miraculous Flower of Opportunity] Lower Heavenly treasure

Time until blooming -26 hours-

Consuming the blossomed Miraculous Flower of Opportunity increases a random stat by 150 Units permanently.

The consumer will also gain the chance to awake a Hidden Speciality!]]

[The Miraculous Flower of Opportunity should only be consumed outside the abandoned island due to external factors such as the potent energy the consumption of the Lower Heavenly treasure will release. Unfathomable existences will be attracted!]

[Transfer fee for the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity is 2,000,000,000 Essence Points!]

While reading through the notifications that popped up in front of Dilan, he frowned a bit.

"Overpowered…" That was the only thing Dilan could say at first before he started to frown deeply.

Protecting the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity until it was ripe was one thing but paying another 2 billion Essence Points on top of the 2.5 billion Essence Points he already needed was… not exactly easy.

Dilan's frown deepened but he knew very well that he needed this treasure.

In fact, an increase of 150 Units was likely to exceed the status capacity he could reach as a Tier-2 existence. If the Cursed Blessing [Will of the Primordial] wouldn't provide him with some special service, his status capacity as Tier-2 existence would be at around 200 Units, while others would only be able to reach 150 Units as Tier-2 existences.

That simply meant the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity couldn't unleash its full power when Dilan would use it.

'But the stats are only a small portion of what this treasure truly stands for…Hidden Speciality…I wonder what I could awaken?' Dilan pondered with gleaming eyes.

He knew that he wanted to get his hands on the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity, and the Artifact of Traction.

However, paying the transfer fee for both would cost him a fortune.

"That just means, I will have to kill a bunch of monsters during the last Night Invasion!" Dilan cleared his throat and accessed the Essence Shop to make a few particular purchases.

First of all he was in desperate need of the "Indestructible Body" that lasted for the next 27 hours, which was the time he had left inside the abandoned Island.

This cost him 2.7 million Essence Points but it was necessary to own it because it allowed him to wield Tier-2 treasures, including the accessories he had purchased not too long ago.

After he purchased the Indestructible body, Dilan also purchased temporary treasure upgrades to upgrade all the pieces of Hyel Destructo, and the Cursed Dagger Xealtron for 27 hours as well.

This cost him a total of 12,150,000 Essence Points, but that was also fine with Dilan because his stats reached a threshold where he could easily fight every type of Tier-3 monster, and even Tier-4 monsters as long as he used some abilities.

The abilities of every piece of the Hyel Destructo Armor set were also increased, which made it easier for Dilan to be confident in fighting against several Sea Serpents if that were to be necessary.

There was only one particular disadvantage that prevented Dilan from properly wielding Xealtron immediately; he had to use other means to increase his Health stats by 49 Units to meet the special requirement of possessing 400 Health Units to wield it!

[[Xealtron] <Cursed > <Gold Tier-2><Platinum Tier-3>

[+100 Strength], [+100 Agility] → [+300 Strength], [+300 Agility]

[Headring of Hyel Insight] <Platinum Tier-1><Platinum Tier-2>

[+20 Mana] →[+80 Mana]

[Gloves of Destructo and Power] <Platinum Tier-1><Platinum Tier-2>

[+20 Strength], [+10 Mana] →[+60 Strength] [+20 Mana]

[Boots of Hyel Space] <Platinum Tier-1><Platinum Tier-2>

[+30 Agility] →[+100 Agility]

[Chestplate of Hyel Strength and Endurance] <Platinum Tier-1><Platinum Tier-2>

[+10 Strength], [+30 Health] → [+30 Strength], [+100 Health]

[Trousers of Hyel Gravitation] <Platinum Tier-1><Platinum Tier-2>

[+20 Strength], [+20 Health], [+20 Stamina], [+20 Agility], [+20 Mana]

Dilan was pretty satisfied with the stats even if some of them seemed a bit odd to him. In the end, he was more than happy with the gains he made with the temporary upgrade that cost him almost 15 million Essence points.

The stat augmentation from Xealtron was shown in the Log of the Ancient but Dilan couldn't feel the reinforcement in his strength because he was not able to wield the weapon without meeting the special requirement.

This would have been a big problem if it was not for the fact that Dilan was prepared for this!

"Buy the Artifact of Traction!" Dilan ordered with a knowing smile on his face.

1,000,000,000 Essence Points were deducted from his finances and a small hand-sized shield manifested in front of him.

It had a unique form and was shaped to look like a white and golden flame.

Dilan knew that the Artifact of Traction looked like this but he hadn't expected it to be so tiny.

However, that was of no concern because Dilan stretched out his hand to hold the Artifact of Traction tightly.

"Allow me to become stronger, little friend!" He exclaimed loudly before he pushed the Artifact of Traction towards his chest.

Without any resistance, the Artifact of Traction turned into countless particles as it touched his chest and a large number of messages flooded him all of a sudden.

[Artifact of Traction has been detected. The Origin ability [Regeneration] desires to devour the Artifact of Traction!]

[The Artifact of Traction requests to fuse with the Origin ability [Regeneration]! It asks the host to hurry up and procure enough Essence Points to pay the transfer fee. It cannot wait anymore!]

Dilan gave a wry smile upon reading the messages but he accepted everything.

"Just do whatever you guys want as long as I get the best result out of it. Whether that is a fusion or someone getting devoured!" He declared, just to receive a sudden notification.

[A temporary fusion has been initiated between the host's Origin ability and the Artifact of Traction. 360 minutes until the fusion has been completed.

If the host is not in possession of enough Essence Points after the abyss-difficulty advancement mission has been completed, the Artifact of Traction will be removed by force! This may injure the host's Soul!]

Chapter 390 Ancient 1st Circle

Six hours passed in the blink of an eye and Dilan had already scouted the Ocean around the abandoned island.

Using Power Appraisal, he was currently even able to see Tier-4 monsters and gauge their strength. This was very advantageous and it allowed Dilan to make numerous plans that revolved mostly around how to procure most Essence Points while simultaneously protecting the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity.

He was in dire need of lots of Essence Points, which was quite frustrating. However, after the Artifact of Traction had undergone a partial fusion with his Origin ability, Dilan was pretty sure that nobody would dare to obstruct him anymore.

-First Seal removed!-]

Quite a few changes had occurred to his Origin ability and Dilan took some time to understand few facts.

In the end, he liked the changes a lot, especially the fact that it was possible for him to wield Xealtron without any issue.

Thanks to the changes of his Origin ability, he regenerated a lot more lifeforce than the Cursed Dagger could drain from him.

Dilan even reconsidered using [Blood Sacrifice] to increase Xealtron's sealed power.

However, his regeneration was not yet strong enough to regenerate 20 Health units in a single minute.

That was why he ignored this idea until the time he was really required to improve his stats further.

For now, this was not necessary and Dilan spent some of the remaining time until night to make sure that he was accustomed to the extremely high stats he possessed right now.

If he was not able to fight for several hours with the high stats he possessed, it would become quite difficult for him to get his act together when he started to use the various abilities he gained from all the treasures he procured.

In total, he had purchased nine new treasures and each of them had an ability bound to it.

Using his abilities precisely without wasting better opportunities was important and Dilan didn't want to end up doing something extremely idiotic.

Thus, he ended up testing all the enhanced versions of the abilities and his three accessories to figure out how strong they were in proportion to the amount of mana he utilized.

Time passed quickly and Dilan's mana was fully replenished when he noticed that the first batch of monsters was slowly heading towards the beach.

He took a deep breath to prepare himself mentally by activating [Thunder Step] with one unit of Mana.

This enhanced his agility by 30% for 90 Seconds. Using more mana to increase his Agility further was not necessary right now, especially since his overall Agility had improved to reach close to 600 Units.

Not a single Tier-3 existence could rival his Agility and the number of Tier-4 monsters was extremely small as well.

In the first few minutes after the third Night invasion had started, only three Tier-4 monsters had appeared, and all of them were as strong as the first Sea Serpent Dilan had fought.

Their stats were not overwhelming and they could be killed easily by unleashing the seal on Xealtron. And that was what Dilan did without hesitation.

He sacrificed 100 Units of health to activate [Blood Sacrifice], which increased the Cursed Dagger's stat augmentation by 150 Units for both Agility and Strength.

And through this, he didn't even need to use one of his abilities to easily cross 700 Units for both his Strength and Agility!

However, instead of rushing mindlessly in the direction of the Sea Serpents, he used a total of 100 Mana units to use [Demon Summoning].

The moment he activated the ability of the Blood Eclipse Necklace, a ginormous black gate emerged in front of Dilan.

Black miasma oozed out of the gate that burst open just a moment later.

"Who dared to interrupt me in my sleep?!?" A deep rumbling voice reverberated through the surrounding, and only Dilan was able to hear everything.

He had no idea what language the Demon was speaking but he could understand it. In the end, it didn't really matter because it was not important why he could understand someone if a bit of violence spoke more than a thousand words.

Dilan stretched his body and he shot forward the moment the grotesque head of the huge Demon appeared in front of him.

He was ready to pierce Xealtron right in the head of the Demon and tightly clutched his horn with one arm.

"I don't care about controlling you, but if you don't kill all the Tier-2 and Tier-3 monsters around you, I will end you and rip out your heart!" Dilan declared coldly, certain that the Gold Tier-3 Demon he had summoned would understand.

The Demon knew that he had been summoned by a Tier-1 existence. That was why it had been ready to revolt against the Tier-1 existence.

However, what it had never expected to happen was that it would almost meet its death even before it had received the chance to fully emerge from the Demon Gate.

"O-Okay…" The Demon could barely say before Dilan used the Demon's head as a stepping stone to shoot closer in the direction of the abandoned island.

With his Agility, it was no problem for him to run faster than the three Tier-4 monsters that had appeared on the abandoned island.

One was a King crab, another one was another Sea Serpent and the third Tier-4 existence was a Crocodile.

Dilan had no idea why there were so many Sea Serpents but they were the easiest targets to kill amongst the three Tier-4 existences his Power Appraisal detected.

While he threw only a single glance backward to figure out whether the Demon obeyed his orders or not, Dilan never halted in his tracks.

"I knew that it would be a waste of time to use mana to control Demons if you can just use brute force!" He mumbled, smiling when his Power Appraisal had finished evaluating the power of the Gold Tier-3 Demon.

'Not bad… its stats should be around 450 units on average. With the use of its innate strength and abilities, not a single Tier-3 existence will trouble it!' Dilan thought as he appeared in front of the Sea Serpent.

It was the easiest to kill but it was also faster than the other two Tier-4 existences.

This was more than enough for him to choose it as his first kill target.

Dilan didn't intend to show any mercy, which was also why he used [Short-distance traveling] the moment he entered the close distance of the Sea Serpent.

Instead of allowing the Sea Serpent to react, Dilan aimed to kill it with a single blow. He appeared in front of the Sea Serpent's humongous eye and pierced Xealtron through it.

The Sea Serpent was just about to scream out in pain when Dilan used 50 Mana to activate [Mana Slash].

The stronger the weapon Mana Slash was used with, the higher was the lethal power of the attack. Thus 50 Units of Mana were definitely more than enough to stab and penetrate through the inner parts of the Sea Serpent's eye and to sink deeper, traveling all the way into its brain, killing the Sea Serpent in an instant.

In fact, Dilan just realized that 25 Mana units would have probably been enough to kill the Sea Serpent because he had already entered its body by piercing through its eye.

"Whatever…" Dilan mumbled after a second when the Sea Serpent's lifeless body landed on the ground. He took a deep breath and stored its body in his storage ring before the real deal would start.

'Am I really going to do this?' He wondered, just to shake his head after a moment.

'I have to do this to procure enough Essence Points!' He told himself with determination gleaming in his eyes.

Even if it would take a toll on his poor body, Dilan was ready to do it.

He was ready to go all in!

Chapter 391 Endure and Overcome

Dilan's strength had increased a lot but he was still not done.

He had to increase his strength even further to make sure that he would be able to overcome the third Night Invasion while procuring all the Essence Points he needed in order to pay the transfer fee for both the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity and the Artifact of Traction.

It was necessary to sacrifice something and to give his all to achieve this. Dilan understood that very well, which was also the reason why he ended up using his special trait [Bearer of Pain] once again.

Lifeforce equivalent to 300 Units of his Health was drained from him and converted to 150 Units of mana, replenishing almost everything he had used up before.

After this equivalent exchange, Dilan was left with only a bit more than 40 Health units. This was not a lot and he would die in two minutes because the unsealed Cursed Dagger drained 20 Health units from the wielder every minute.

Fortunately, Nial's natural regeneration was extremely high now that [Bracing Pain] augmented all of his stats by 50%. Dilan was also in possession of [Ultra Regeneration], the semi-fused Origin ability that enhanced his already high regeneration even further.

With his Health stat gaining a 50% augmentation from [Bracing Pain], Dilan's Health stats crossed 600 Units. Together with his Origin ability, this was more than enough to regenerate more than 20 Units of Health every minute.

Thus, the Cursed Dagger's effect was outbalanced and Dilan was given the opportunity to fight in a somewhat unhindered manner.

Meanwhile, both his Strength and Agility were extremely close to reaching the threshold of 800 Units without the need to use another ability.

However, as [Thunder Step] was still activated, Dilan's Agility kept increasing, breaking the threshold his body was supposed to be able to endure.

It was only fortunate that Dilan was not in possession of the Hyel Destructo Armor set. The set bonus he obtained from wearing it included a 15% increase in his physique, which was something Dilan noted for the first time.

He felt pressured by the high stats but it was not unbearable. The pain he felt due to his Lifeforce being drained was much higher.

But everything would be worth it at the end of the day! That was something Dilan was sure of and it allowed him to give his all to leave the abandoned island after he got everything he wanted!

"Endure and Overcome! You can do it!" Dilan told himself as he took a deep breath before he dashed over the abandoned island, targeting the strongest monsters first.

Numerous monsters were trying their best to approach the mountain in the center of the abandoned island and hesitantly crawl towards it but only Tier-4 monsters and the strongest Tier-3 monsters truly dared to advance without a trace of hesitation.

However, this recklessness was what cost them their lives. Dilan had been waiting for this opportunity and he quickly tore apart the Tier-4 King Crab and the giant Tier-4 Crocodile.

He didn't have any time to waste in showing mercy to anyone. It was more important to kill and advance. His speed was terrifying and the two Tier-4 monsters had barely been able to detect Dilan when he had already activated Master of Gravity.

Instead of using [Short-distance traveling] from his Boots of Hyel Space, Dilan decreased the gravitational force that weighed on him.

It was barely enough to pull him to the ground but too little to restrict his movement speed in any way.

Dilan was not sure how much his speed increased after he had used [Master of Gravity] but he was certain that not a single Tier-4 monster in or around the abandoned island even came close to being comparable to his current speed.

For the following 60 seconds, Dilan turned into a true flash because only the purple electricity currents were left as evidence of him having been everywhere around the abandoned island.

After killing the two Tier-4 monsters much more easily than he could have ever wished for, Dilan ended up creating a massacre. He was still adjusting to his terrifyingly high stats but one could clearly notice that he was getting more comfortable being much faster and stronger than ever before. Sadly, there was no one around him to pay any attention to that but he did not mind it.

The death and destruction his every motion caused were terrifying and it caused a bright smile to emerge on Dilan's face.

There might not be many monsters that caused him to actually feel as if he was in danger when residing on the abandoned island but he was pretty sure that today and the last two days had been the best days of his life.

If he had been a little bit worried at the beginning of the advancement mission, his current condition was the exact opposite. Dilan didn't even feel like he was challenging himself by choosing the mission with the highest difficulty because it felt like everything was going according to his plan….because that was pretty much exactly what was going on.

However, Dilan didn't dislike this. He gave his utmost efforts to adapt and overcome all issues on the abandoned island and the final result was something he welcomed.

Even if he wouldn't be able to get his hands on the Artifact of Traction or the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity, the Cursed Dagger Xealtron and the Hyel Destructo Armor set were already more than enough for Dilan to be satisfied.

At least, that would have been the case beforehand.

Dilan was getting greedier the longer he felt the terrifying power surging through his body. The strength he felt right now was not something he wanted to miss out on in the future, the moment he left the abandoned island, to be precise.

He was not ready to give up on that, which was even more reason for him to give his all.

For the last two days, Dilan rarely thought about the Undying Group or anyone else outside the abandoned island, and it was an oddly reassuring feeling.

He was not sure if he could explain it properly but if someone were to ask him what was going on within him but Dilan could clearly feel that the abyss-difficulty advancement mission was something tailor-made for him, and not someone else.

Dilan could tell that the abandoned island was the place where he was supposed to grow and become stronger. It was his choice whether he wanted to run away and hide, or brave all the dangers head-on.

Both would allow him to grow stronger because he would meet the criteria to complete the advancement mission, but running away would hinder him from growing more than the advancement of his occupation from Tier-1 to Tier-2.

As for fighting, it allowed him to gain Essence Points and collect treasures he would never be able to find on Milarn.

It was already unlikely to find a Tier-4 existence on Milarn because only some anomalies existed on Milarn.

As for Tier-3 or higher Tiered existences, Dilan had yet to come across many.

The Red Dragon was definitely a powerful Tier-4 existence but that was already it. Dilan was pretty sure that he could defeat it in the near future and he looked forward to that.

It was time for him to start fighting instead of sitting back and nurturing some Undying Group.

After all, his strength was more than enough to do everything by himself.

Only now did Dilan realize that it may not even be necessary for him to always stay by the Undying Group's side and protect them. If he were to focus on himself, he may as well become strong enough to do everything he wanted whenever he wanted.

Chapter 392 Completed

[The host has paid the transfer fee for the Artifact of Traction. 10,000,000,000 Essence Points have been deducted!]

Dilan nodded his head in satisfaction. His body had been subjected to extreme wear and tear and he could hardly move a muscle but he managed to pay for the transfer fee of the Artifact of Traction.

There was not much time left on the abyss-difficulty advancement mission but that was something Dilan was quite thankful for.

Until he would be teleported back to the Sanctum of the Old Vampire Lord in 30 minutes, Dilan had still a few things to do.

However, his remaining strength didn't allow him to move around as much as before.

The last 24 hours had drained him more than anything and his memories of that time were also quite blurry.

He only recalled the tremendous power he had felt the whole time.

It was addictive and something he wanted to feel again. However, right now, his stats had already decreased drastically because Xealtron was stored in his storage ring and his Health had been replenished.

It was only his mind that was begging for rest, and his Stamina that hit 0 more often during the last 24 hours than he wanted to acknowledge.

Protecting the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity had been a lot more difficult and a herculean task than he had expected but it had worked out, somehow.

Dilan was pretty satisfied with his own achievements, which was also why he ignored the additional messages he had received after paying the transfer fee for the Artifact of Traction.

He could tell that the Artifact of Traction was currently fusing with his Origin ability and that something new would emerge out of it.

However, until he would get to know the result of the fusion Dilan would have to wait for quite some time.

His focus was more on procuring the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity than trying to understand the Artifact of Traction, its uses and benefits.

The latter was something Dilan could do in the future as well, while the flower was something he was unlikely to encounter at a later point in life.

The Miraculous Flower of Opportunity had blossomed and Dilan plucked it carefully. He stored it inside his storage ring and paid the transfer fee.

[The host has paid the transfer fee for the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity. 2,000,000,000 Essence Points have been deducted!]

Reading through this notification, Dilan felt a bit pained but he accepted it regardless.

In the end, the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity was too valuable not to purchase such a treasure. In comparison, the Essence Points he was required to pay, whether one worked hard to procure them or not, outweighed his gains by a large margin.

Dilan's power and strength were running out but he had still some Essence Points left.

To be precise, there were around 150,000,000 Essence Points left in his finances.

Leaving them behind would be a shame. Thus, Dilan used the remaining time to organize his storage ring, sell the body parts he would definitely not bring back to his world, and pay the transfer fee for everything else.

After completing all the transactions, Dilan had only one million Essence Points left. He purchased a Tier-4 Essence crystal from the shop and paid the transfer fee, making use of the remaining points almost perfectly.

Dilan was satisfied with himself. He was in possession of various new treasures, got his hands on some monster body parts Old Jeff and other blacksmiths could turn into Tier-3 and Tier-4 forged goods and he also procured more than 10 high-ranked Essence crystals which he could take back home!

There were still a few minutes left on his timer. Dilan went to the beach where he sat down on the ground.

The entire abandoned island smelled of death and destruction as signs of a terrifying battle that had been fought on its ground was clearly visible. Blood covered almost every spot on the surface, which was why Dilan felt a bit apologetic to the Island Turtle.

However, it was not as if the Island Turtle couldn't have dived down deeper underwater, drowning everything and everyone in the ocean to save itself.

Dilan still had many questions in his mind but resting at the beach caused time to pass much faster than expected.

[The abyss-difficulty advancement mission will conclude in 10 seconds!]

[3 seconds]

[2 seconds]

[1 second]

[Congratulations to the host! You have successfully completed the abyss-difficulty advancement mission. Your Score will be calculated shortly!]

[Please step through the portal to allow the system to decrease the difficulties in the Tier advancement process!]

A golden portal manifested right next to Dilan when the system notifications popped up in front of him.

Simultaneously, a terrifying roar reverberated through the ocean and the abandoned island began to tremble.

"It's time for you to leave as well?" Dilan asked lightly, knowing that he wouldn't receive an answer.

He stepped through the golden portal and closed his eyes, accepting all the changes that were occurring to him.

The fusion between the Artifact of Traction and the Origin ability accelerated all of a sudden, working as a catalyst to cause a lot of changes.

Dilan felt as if his brain was being mashed. It was as if his mind was a playground for beasts that were running around wildly as the Essence Crystal improved.

He felt like he was suffocating but he endured everything that happened quietly.

After what felt like an eternity, Dilan heard numerous sounds ringing through his mind. He opened his eyes after a few seconds, just to realize that he was still in the golden space of the portal.

Dilan had yet to return to Milarn, which was why he began to frown deeply.

'Is the advancement not yet done?' He wondered for a moment before he began to read through all the notifications he had received.

[The host has successfully completed his advancement mission. Congratulations!]

[The host's score has been evaluated. Evaluation Grade: SS!]

[The host has been rewarded with 28 Ability Merits, a Secret occupational ability, and a painless advancement from Tier-1 to Tier-2!]

"Painless? You fuckers!! That was not painless!!" Dilan cursed instinctively, clearly feeling the throbbing pain in his head. He could barely calm down after he took a few deep breaths in and out as he began to feel a bit confused about what Ability Merits even were.

However, before he could even ask the System, it answered his question in simple terms.

[Advancement missions above the Hell-difficulty reward Ability Merits instead of new abilities that have already been chosen beforehand. The host can exchange Ability Merits in exchange for abilities and traits, which are directly related to his chosen occupation!]

"So I didn't receive a new ability after advancing my Tier but Ability Merits…but how exactly was their number determined…the Evaluation grade?" Dilan asked himself with a confused expression. His head still hurt, so it was quite difficult to think properly.

[The host received 16 Ability Merits for completing the Abyss-difficulty advancement mission.

The host received 4 Ability Merits for becoming the Overlord on the surface of the abandoned island, 2 Ability Merits for killing an existence two tiers above his own, 4 Ability Merits for killing an existence three tiers above the host's tier, and 2 Ability Merits for accumulating more than 10 Billion Essence Points!]

Dilan nodded his head after doing a quick calculation and trying to understand what was going on.

But that was easier said than done as he took a look at all the changes that had occurred in his Log of the Ancient and his Occupation's attributes!

"Huh?"

Chapter 393 [???]

Reading through his Log of the Ancient was pretty confusing. This was especially the case because too many things seemed to have changed at once after he advanced to Tier-2.

Dilan tried to sort his thoughts but after looking at everything he quickly realized that it would take him some time to digest everything properly.

However, the latter was, fortunately, something that was answered in easy words for him to understand.

[Undying] was not much different from [Ultra Regeneration] in Dilan's opinion. The only two differences were probably that the Artifact of Traction was not considered a piece of equipment anymore and that its influence changed the augmentation of his stats at its core.

This was quite interesting because it increased his stats tremendously. As for the [+???], Dilan had no idea what exactly it signified. It could be the enhancement of some stats or mean something entirely different. Dilan was not sure what to make of it but it didn't interest him a lot, either way.

He was more interested to look at the changes his Divine Occupation had come up with upon advancing to Tier-2.

Ability Merits: 28

_________

A frown appeared on his face when he looked at the information of [Squire of Life], his Divine occupation. The stats he received had doubled, the 28 Ability Merits were mentioned, and there was another puzzling part. The [???] in his Special traits was the thing he had already predicted to receive.

The system notification he had received upon completing the Abyss-difficulty advancement mission was precisely what prevented him from being shocked about the 'reward' he had received.

However, Dilan would rather know what exactly the reward was rather than see the question marks and ponder about it. They were slightly disruptive if one were to ask him and it was somewhat bothersome not to know what one gained after working hard to achieve it.

It was only at this point that he realized that his Divine occupation increased his physique as well. This was more to his liking and definitely advantageous in his situation.

Dilan might not know when he would need stats that would rival Tier-4 existences, let alone how long it would take for his stats to reach the threshold to attain such high stats to strain his body, but it was definitely helpful to have a strong physique!

He was eager to take a look at the new occupational abilities he could unlock with his Ability Merits. Yet, instead of taking a look in a hurried manner, Dilan chose to get to know his new stats, the limit of his capacities, and much more.

Thus, without further ado, Dilan took a look at his Cursed Blessing [Will of the Primordial]!

[[Will of the Primordial]

-Essence crystals provide 0.1x Essence & status points!

-Natural limiter of status points raised! 150→200]

"As expected, not much changed there," Dilan figured, accepting the existence of the Will of the Primordial for the time being, albeit gloomily. It was not possible for him to remove the Cursed Blessing right now, either way.

Instead of working against it, he would accept it for now and try making use of it.

'Come to think of it, I've only been away for 72 hours. The others shouldn't have made too much of a mess in the meantime, right?' He wondered when the golden light around him changed suddenly.

He knew that he would soon be thrown out of the portal because his advancement to Tier-2 was completed and the fusion of Regeneration and the Artifact of Traction happened.

There were still a few things he was confused about, including the sudden change in his Origin ability's ranking. He could only gauge that 1st Circle meant something similar to Tier-1. That was his best bet and if that was not the case, Dilan was clueless about what was going on.

However, the change in his Origin ability's ranking was something that he needed to think about right now.

He emerged from the golden portal, at the exact same location he had been standing before. If there had been Sven and Victoria beforehand, right now, Dilan couldn't see or perceive a single Soul around him.

This would have worried Dilan a lot but he merely looked around the place to figure out what had changed before he accessed his storage ring.

He wanted to make sure that he wasn't missing out on anything and that everything he paid for had been safely transported to Milarn from the abandoned island.

"I didn't expect the system to make mistakes, but that's good then," He mumbled as he nodded his head in satisfaction.

Everything was there, he had advanced to Tier-2, his Log of the Ancient had improved tremendously, and he was in possession of numerous treasures right now.

Dilan had yet to absorb all the higher-quality Blood Essences he had procured before taking the abyss-difficulty advancement mission. There was also a batch of high-tiered Essence crystals in his storage ring, and the most important; the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity!

As long as he used everything, he would truly become an unrivaled existence on Milarn.

That was something Dilan was sure and he looked forward to it. After all, there was no time to waste when it came to becoming stronger.

The world would keep evolving and it was only obvious that becoming stronger was the best means to adjust, adapt and fight the given dangers…and overcome them!

"Let's finish everything before meeting up with the others!"

Chapter 394 Terrifying Improvements

"Please give me a 'Hidden Speciality'!" Dilan said out loud as he munched on the petals of the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity.

Eating the flower felt a bit weird but Dilan had no idea how to devour the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity otherwise.

In the end, he was ready to make some sacrifices to become stronger, whether that meant to keep pushing himself to the limits, or to kill numerous monsters. Eating a flower was definitely in comparison.

Taking a deep breath after he swallowed the flower, Dilan was ready to feel its effectiveness.

However, nothing happened for more than half an hour, which ended up frustrating Dilan quite a bit.

Only the tremendous energy that circulated through his body prevented him from thinking that something was wrong. He took a few deep breaths and accepted the power regardless of what it would happen.

Time passed quickly and his body had rapidly digested the energy. He felt a few changes happening to his body and the system notification he received was more than enough of an answer for him to understand what exactly was going on.

[The Miraculous Flower of Opportunity has been devoured and digested. The host's Stamina stat has been randomly chosen and augmented by 150 Units.]

[Because the host's Stamina could only be enhanced by 100 Units, the remaining 50 Units will be distributed on the host's other stats!]

[Digesting the potent energy of the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity has unleashed the host's hidden potential. The host's aptitude toward Green Magic was discovered. Study and comprehend Green Magic to use it wisely!]

[The host's Stamina reached the status capacity of a Tier-2 existence. Congratulations!]

Dilan was bombarded with messages and he could only smile weirdly while reading all of them. While others had only advanced to Tier-2 some time ago, Dilan's raw stats were already close to reaching the status cap of normal Tier-2 existences.

He was still at Level 0, but his stats were already extremely high even if one were to ignore his Health stat.

But even after he had devoured and digested the Miraculous Flower of Opportunity, Dilan was not yet done enhancing his stats.

There were still dozens of Tier-2 Blood Essences in his possession and roughly a dozen Tier-4 Essence crystals for him to absorb.

His stats were bound to increase and the same could be said about his level.

Dilan didn't hesitate to use every means to achieve his goals.

[A dozen higher-tiered Essence crystals and 76 Tier-2 Blood Essences were detected and absorbed by the host→+50.5 Strength, +48.1 Health, +62 Agility, +56.9 Mana]

[Essence pool has been filled. Host reached Level 1(Tier-2)! +1.0 Status points can be allocated!]

[Essence pool has been filled. Host reached Level 2(Tier-2)! +1.0 Status points can be allocated!]

….

[Essence pool has been filled. Host reached Level 9(Tier-2)! +1.0 Status points can be allocated!]

[Essence pool has been filled. Host reached Level 19(Tier-2)! +1.0 Status points can be allocated!]

Even though Dilan required 20x the amount of Essences and ten times more status points than others to improve, the potency of Tier-4 Essences was as tremendous as he had predicted.

He had been certain that he would easily reach level 20 and that his stats would increase in the hundreds by absorbing the Tier-4 Essence crystals because he had killed all those monsters by himself.

As a Tier-1 existence, he had killed more than a dozen Tier-4 existences. Their Essence was evidently purer than any kind of other essence Dilan had ever absorbed, and his body was not accustomed to it.

Even after advancing to Tier-2, he was still far from reaching Tier-4, and as Dilan had already found out a long time ago, the wider the gap of strength, the higher the disparity in the Essence's effect upon being absorbed!

Obtaining a little more than 200 Status points and a total of 20 Level ups from absorbing a handful of Tier-4 Essence crystals and dozens of Tier-2 Blood Essences was not really surprising.

Dilan had actually hoped to receive more status points because he wanted to reach Tier-3 as quickly as possible. With his condition, it would be a waste of time to kill millions of the same type of monster just for the sake of leveling up.

He wanted to improve his stats to reach their maximum capacity before killing new types of monsters in order to gain more Essence from their Essence crystals.

With his stats, it was not difficult to kill monsters of a higher Tier. Right now, his stats already rivaled that of a Tier-3 existence.

Not a single stat of his was below 150 Units or even close to that anymore. Because of that, Dilan felt extremely invigorated and overly powerful.

This was only obvious, but Dilan felt that he didn't have enough yet. He accessed his Log of the Ancient and used his unallocated status points for the first time in a while.

Dilan allocated 25 out of the 30 unallocated status points he had accumulated by now to his Agility which reached 220 Units in the process.

[The host's Agility reached the status capacity of a Tier-2 existence. Congratulations!]

Possessing two maxed-out Stats shortly after advancing to Tier-2 was exceptional, but Dilan just nodded his head.

He was a bit satisfied, just to turn serious as he made various calculations in his mind.

"After conquering the Blood Monarch's Sanctum, I should have already reached a level to be considered far more powerful than before. With my enhanced physique and strength, the Temple of Scorpio shouldn't be able to oppose me anymore afterward. That's good then!" Dilan mumbled, recalling the two places he had wanted to visit and possibly conquer after returning from his advancement mission.

However, right now, his desire to destroy everything and everyone had changed a little. His stats were already extremely high from the get-go, but the moment he wore all the new pieces of equipment he had obtained, he was basically an existence at the peak of Tier-3!

And that was without the need to activate any abilities, let alone sacrifice his lifeforce to forcefully pump up his stats even further!

"Should I just conquer Milarn?" Dilan asked himself jokingly as he scratched the back of his head.

Until now, his goal had only been to survive and become stronger to protect his people. But that suddenly seemed a thing of the past.

The Undying group had to learn to fight for themselves and their groups had already separated on two bases. That being said, they shouldn't rely on his strength to protect them anymore, either way. He couldn't split his body to protect two places at the same time.

That was only obvious, and it was even more logical that Dilan wouldn't always be at the base. In fact, Dilan was pretty sure that he would hardly stay in the Sanctum or Shiron because neither of these places was great for his growth.

It wouldn't be harsh to think that the entirety of Milarn was not exactly a great place for him to become stronger. Dilan was fully aware of this but he was also sure that he could gain a lot on Milarn.

After all, the planet was quickly growing stronger and the Gates emerging everywhere could be used to receive maximum benefits.

And last but not least, there were still people on Milarn, whom Dilan held dearly and he was looking forward to meeting them.

Meanwhile, other people had to be taken care of in a completely different manner.

Their whole existence had to be eradicated!

Chapter 395 No breaktime

"Dilan, you're finally back!" Kathrine's voice resounded through the large hall as Dilan stretched his stiff body.

Even though his physique was great, it was not easy for it to accept and adjust to the plethora of changes that it had been subjected to so easily.

His stats had increased by more than 350 Units in the last 60 minutes. He required some time to allow his body to digest everything and to reach its peak.

"I'm back, yep," He merely answered, giving Kathrine a thumbs up.

"Did something bad happen in the last 72 hours, or is everything still like it had been before?" Dilan added in curiosity.

He was pretty sure that a lot had happened in the last 72 hours but the bad news was the most important because he was pretty sure that the good news could wait for a short while.

"One of the Alpha Lords came to the Sanctum with a bunch of other Werewolf packs but it doesn't look like they planned to attack the Undying group. Their only problem is the Temple of Scorpio and the fact that we protect Victoria and her Hybrid Subordinates…" Kathrine shared her opinion while thinking about more things that had to be reported.

"We haven't been able to hear lots of news from the base in Shiron but that doesn't immediately mean that something bad has happened," She mumbled, rubbing her chin thoughtfully with her right hand as she tilted her head lightly.

This act of hers was kind of cute, which was contrary to everything Dilan had witnessed in the last 72 hours that had felt like an eternity to him.

"Alright, that's not too bad then. How is everyone progressing? Do we have more Tier-2 Ascenders by now and how many Ascenders are willing to live in the Old Vampire Lord's Sanctum?" Dilan asked a bunch of questions to which Kathrine could only move her hand as she turned around.

"I think you will get more answers if you take some time to read the reports," Kathrine laughed lightly before she led him through the Sanctum which had changed a lot.

He saw many Ascenders and a handful of Hybrids doing all kinds of things. However, the number of Werewolves was much higher than anything else. Trying to sense his surroundings to find out how many Werewolves the valley inhabited by now, Dilan figured that they were very high in numbers, and had a big numerical advantage over the Ascenders that only numbered more than 1500 by now.

However, when he used the [Power Appraisal] of his headring, Dilan quickly noticed that there was no need for him to be vigilant.

There may be a few powerful beings in the vicinity but Dilan was on a completely different level than them!

Dilan encountered Sven, Xenia, Yvonne, and a bunch of other people when he reached the office where all the reports were kept.

They greeted him heartily and asked him numerous questions. Yet, instead of answering them one after another, Dilan told them to calm down. He needed some time to read through all the reports, before answering them so he read through one page in a second.

After he advanced to Tier-2, his brain's capacities increased a lot. At the same time, the higher his Mana stat the easier it would be for him to read and comprehend something.

Dilan's Mana stat was extremely high, to put it simply, which resulted in him finishing reading through all the reports in a matter of minutes.

"The Werewolves are hiding in the Sanctum while trying to conquer the Temple of Scorpio. That's why I felt the presence of so many poisoned Werewolves before…" Dilan mumbled while nodding his head in interest.

The Temple of Scorpio seemed to be far more intriguing than he would have expected. There were many Tier-2 Werewolves, who had been injured and poisoned, which indicated that the Temple of Scorpio was somewhat powerful.

Dilan looked forward to his encounter with the Temple of Scorpio, but he would conquer the Blood Monarch's Sanctum before that nonetheless.

'I wonder what exactly this Green Magic is. It could be the control of the wind, or magic related to nature. I mean, who the hell names magic after a color?!' Dilan wondered when he glanced at the Log of the Ancient for a moment.

He wanted to test a few things but now was not the time to do so.

"Congratulations for advancing to Tier-2, Yvonne!" Dilan suddenly said, giving her a thumbs up. Yvonne, who was busy trying to assess the level of his advancement, was startled but accepted the praise with a bitter smile on her face.

"You too…I guess," She could only reply, not exactly sure how to ask Dilan what the hell he did to make it impossible for her to fathom his true strength.

It was as if a huge wall surrounded Dilan, preventing anyone from perceiving anything about him. The others could hardly sense the devastating power of Yvonne. As for Dilan, he felt like a bottomless pit to everyone daring enough to try to tell just how powerful he had become.

Only 72 hours had passed, which meant that it shouldn't be possible for Dilan's strength to increase by leaps and bounds, but that was exactly what happened.

Just when the others wanted to ask him a bunch of questions, Dilan's ears perked up. He heard something from outside and sighed deeply.

"Seems like my cursed luck is in full swing. I cannot even afford a short break," He mumbled before he disappeared from everyone's sight.

Golden sparks appeared in the position Dilan had disappeared to and the others could only look at them with varied emotions on their faces.

"Seems like he has gained a lot…" Sven mumbled quietly after a moment while Yvonne let out a deep sigh.

"And here I thought that I would be able to close the gap between us after completing a Hell-difficulty advancement mission…Is he really human?" Yvonne was frustrated but she clenched her teeth and accepted Dilan's strength.

She had survived the dangers of a Hell-difficulty advancement mission, even though it was a near brush with death. Her gains were tremendous because her occupation grew a lot stronger and it had been possible for her to upgrade her occupational abilities and gain new ones according to her own desires.

But from the looks of it, Dilan had gained a lot more. Yvonne's gaze was specifically drawn to the purplish-black dagger that was sheathed in the scabbard, which was fastened to Dilan's belt.

At this moment, an explosion occurred outside the Sanctum of the Old Vampire Lord and a heavy, eerie pressure weighed down on everyone.

Xenia couldn't move anymore and her legs gave in, forcing her to the ground. Meanwhile, Sven could barely remain standing, only for Yvonne to shoot outside the Sanctum with all her might.

She quickly reached the gate that led outside the Sanctum, but her steps slowed down drastically, whether she wanted to slow down or not.

The pressure outside the Sanctum was several times higher than inside and Yvonne could only swallow her saliva as she emerged from the Sanctum where she saw a baffling situation happening right in front of her.

Victoria and a few of her Hybrids were surrounded by a bunch of powerful Werewolves. The intention of the Werewolves was obvious but that was also not really what made Yvonne's brow furrowed in concern.

Shockingly enough, Dilan was standing in front of Victoria with his hands in his pockets. His shoulders were relaxed and his posture showed no signs of tension. In fact, it looked like he was welcoming guests as bloodlust that seemed to weigh tons spread out from him. A small smile appeared on his face as he looked at the werewolves.

'Is that how strong he has become??'

Chapter 396 Alpha Lord

Dilan appeared outside the Sanctum of the Old Vampire Lord without showing any emotions.

He had used [Short-distance teleportation] to emerge outside while concealing his powers easily.

'Concealing my powers is easier than expected. I thought that I would shock everyone, but it looks like nobody can really tell how strong I am by now,' Dilan thought, satisfied with himself.

He took a deep breath and scanned his surroundings with a single glance.

"Can't we just kill the daughter of the Old Vampire Lord and her playthings? Why are the Alphas making such a fuss out of killing a few bloodsuckers?!" A bulky Werewolf asked his brethren, openly revealing his contempt and disdain for the daughter of the Old Vampire Lord.

Victoria had conjured a wall of blood ice in front of a Werewolf, who had attacked one of her Hybrids. She reached out her hand to help the trembling Hybrid get back on his feet.

Dilan could tell that Victoria and her underlings had become a lot stronger, but it was still not enough for her to deal with all the Werewolves, who wanted to do nothing more than to kill them.

There were thousands of Werewolves in the valley, and many of them were stronger than Victoria, let alone her Hybrids.

Dilan was just about to jump forward to bring Victoria and her Hybrid out of the encirclement of Werewolves around her when he heard something.

"Are you stupid? The moment the Vampire's lover returns and finds out that we killed her, we would be dead meat!" An older Werewolf said, shaking his head at the stupidity of the wolf who had stated his ridiculous opinion.

"The Vampire's' lover? Why would we be scared of him? I mean we have the Alpha Lord with us, and he is the strongest existence on the Shikan plains!" The same bulky Werewolf as before countered, pushing his chest out in pride as if he was the Alpha Lord himself.

Dilan was not sure who exactly the Alpha Lord was, but he was pretty sure that he was not the strongest existence on the Shikan plains.

"You might not know him but that human is truly powerful! I witnessed how he killed thousands of Vampires all by himself. He could fight three Alphas and take them single-handedly. I genuinely doubt that he will be much weaker than the Alpha Lord!" The old Werewolf tried to put some sense into him.

In the end, the bulky Werewolf didn't believe that Dilan was stronger than their Alpha Lord, but his words were enough to attract some interest in the Werewolves around them.

"And where is this lover now? Are you sure that you're not mistaken about him? Why would the daughter of the Old Vampire Lord have a human lover, especially if he killed thousands of Vampires?" Someone asked, but the old Werewolf could only shrug his shoulders.

It was not as if he knew everything.

"Labeling me as her lover is not really a suitable term. How about you call me the Leader of the Undying group, or just Master?" Dilan joked as he stepped forward.

He walked past the old Werewolf with a faint smile on his lips. Nobody had noticed him before and his sudden appearance shocked the Werewolves around him.

The bulky Werewolf could only squint his eyes as he tried to evaluate Dilan's strength. However, there was nothing to sense. It was almost as if Dilan was not even an Ascender.

This feeling gave the bulky Werewolf the reassurance he needed to take a step forward and obstruct Dilan's path to the center of the crowd where Victoria and her Hybrids were currently standing.

Dilan's expression didn't change as he advanced ahead, completely ignoring the bulky Werewolf in front of him.

He intentionally bumped into the Werewolf, who was using all his strength to pose in front of Dilan and to remain standing at the exact location, no matter what.

The bulky Werewolf was in for a surprise as Dilan just kept walking ahead, ignoring him as if he was not worth his attention. When Dilan bumped into the bulky Werewolf, the hair all over the Werewolf's body stood on its end and he quickly retreated.

His expressions were filled with fear and a bruise could be seen on the spot where Dilan had bumped into the Werewolf.

The bulky Werewolf's body began to shudder involuntarily while Dilan continued to walk.

He released traces of his power, causing everyone to involuntarily retreat the moment he stepped too close to them.

"I…What…How…" The bulky Werewolf was too baffled to speak properly. His eyes were locked on Dilan, while his voice was broken.

Meanwhile, the old Werewolf couldn't help but feel baffled as well.

'Is the Alpha Lord…really stronger?'

Dilan didn't face any issues while walking through the crowd of Werewolves as everyone moved out of his way. However, even if none of them would have moved, his strength would have forced everyone to either die or retreat on their own.

His eyes were locked on Victoria and the situation that occurred around her.

She was looking for a way to back off from the Werewolves, with the young female Hybrid by her side. Victoria stood protectively in front of her female subordinate and was ready to fight if that was truly necessary.

Meanwhile, the Werewolf, who had been blocked with the blood-ice wall had paved a way through the wall that burst open as his kick smashed it to pieces.

Victoria's strength was extremely high but she could tell that the Werewolf in front of her was not much weaker than her.

"So you are the Old Vampire Lord's daughter?" A new and unknown voice reached Victoria from the right. She turned to her right and frowned deeply.

"And you are the Alpha Lord, am I right?" Victoria asked, trying to keep up a confident facade. However, that was easier said than done when someone released their killing intent toward you, especially if that being was clearly stronger than you in every aspect.

"That's correct, and I will kill you," The Alpha Lord said in a calm and nonchalant way as if he was talking about the weather.

Victoria frowned but the Alpha Lord's expression turned serious.

"To repay the cruelty and loss your father has caused to my ancestors your blood will have to nourish the ground of the Sanctum Fair price, isnt it?" He declared as his crimson eyes began to glow brightly.

The Alpha Lord's body enlarged drastically and black fur covered him as he underwent a partial bestial transformation.

Long claws had grown out of his fingers and they clicked loudly before he pounced forward without a warning.

The Alpha Lord was a man of his word but he would rather let actions speak than make empty promises or threats.

Thus, he pounced at Victoria with a shocking speed. The distance between him and Victoria was reduced to zero in an instant and he slashed out at the young Vampire without hesitation.

Victoria's eyes widened and she noticed too late that her blood-ice wall would take a second to erupt and shield her.

She clenched her teeth and was just about to activate a bunch of her abilities when she felt a sudden warmth from behind her.

Victoria was pulled backward, just in time when the Alpha Lord's claws slashed at her, missing her by a hair's breadth.

However, Victoria didn't care about this anymore. Her eyes began to glow in joy as she turned her head, where she saw the only person, whom she had missed dearly for disappearing for three days.

"You're back!"

Chapter 397 Offer

Victoria didn't move away as she leaned against Dilan, who had pulled her back.

The trouble around her turned negligible and she began to smile foolishly as she looked lovingly at Dilan.

Meanwhile, the Alpha Lord jumped backward. Dilan's sudden arrival astonished the Alpha Lord, who eyed the young human for a few seconds.

"Are you the lover of the Old Vampire Lord's daughter? That's quite disappointing!" The Alpha Lord couldn't help but say that he didn't perceive much of a threat from Dilan.

Dilan didn't answer his question and he merely smiled lightly as he kept staring right at the Alpha Lord's crimson eyes.

There was a glint of provocation in Dilan's eyes, which the Alpha Lord realized quite quickly.

He moved instinctively and punched the young-looking human. His strength was more than enough to make most Tier-2 monsters fear him.

Thus, the Vampire Lord began to smile devilishly as he imagined that Dilan's chest would burst open the moment his large fist impacted on the human.

However, Dilan didn't intend to move away or block the attack. He merely smiled as he moved Victoria and her female Hybrid subordinate behind himself.

This didn't require much strength but his motions were smooth and done with an air of confidence. After he ensured that the two girls were safe, he noticed that the fist of the Alpha Lord was right in front of him but despite that Dilan didn't move.

He merely smiled as he allowed the fist to impact on him with all its might. The moment his fist collided with Dilan's chest, Dilan felt the Alpha Lord's power spreading through his entire body traveling down his legs like a bolt of lightning had struck him.

The ground below him burst open and soil was flung through the surrounding area, but Dilan remained standing as if he didn't even feel anything.

"Is that everything? Can we go now, or do you want to humiliate yourself even further?" Dilan asked with an indifferent voice while he enjoyed the shocked expression of the Alpha Lord.

There was no reason for Dilan to avoid the Alpha Lord but he gave him a single chance to prevent facing miserable injuries and mockery.

And that was only because Dilan was quite tired after staying awake for 72 hours to fight nonstop, after advancing to the second Tier, increasing his stats drastically, and so on.

There were many things that had exhausted him, which was why Dilan wanted to avoid a troublesome encounter.

However, he sensed something at this moment that caused him to frown deeper. If the Alpha Lord had already been a nuisance the sudden being, who appeared in the encirclement of the werewolves was even more troublesome.

It was a rather small, pale-faced man, radiating a terrifyingly powerful charisma that restricted the ordinary Werewolves from moving a single inch.

"Hello everyone. I apologize for interrupting this very important battle of dominion, or whatever it was, but I would like to speak to this gentleman if that is not too much to ask for!" The man almost sounded jovial but his expression was the exact opposite.

His crimson eyes were glowing brightly, his fangs had already shot out and his long silver hair fluttered in the air as his body released bloodlust in an uncontrollable manner.

"Lord Galliard?!?" Both Victoria and the Alpha Lord exclaimed in utter shock. They were baffled to see the new Vampire Lord, Lord Galliard, appearing right next to them.

Many Werewolves were shocked and excited at the same time. If they could kill the Vampire Lord, it would only be a matter of time before they would become the Overlords of the Shikan plains and establish dominion.

Yet, despite knowing that a great chance had unveiled itself in front of everyone, nobody dared to move. The power which the Vampire Lord released was too terrifying. It was not something any Betas or Gammas were capable of handling.

Lord Galliard was not very impressed to see the Werewolves behaving like greedy pups. Even the Alpha Lord's behavior was not really weird, especially since Lord Galliard was not someone who would act openly unless the situation was dire.

There was a small smile on the face of Lord Galliard as he looked at Dilan with twinkling eyes. He was excited and hoped that Dilan was the person he was looking for.

"If you want to speak with me, do it here and now. I am a little busy," Dilan responded calmly as he looked at the Vampire Lord. With [Power Appraisal] it was not further difficult for him to determine how powerful the Vampire Lord was, and what he saw was not further troublesome.

Lord Galliard might be the strongest being in Dilan's surroundings but that was already it. Thus, he smiled calmly as he waited for the Vampire Lord's reaction.

Lord Galliard's right eye twitched twice when he heard Dilan's calmly issued words and many Werewolves, including the Alpha Lord looked at him like he was a madman and wanted to die.

However, Dilan was not really bothered by this.

"If you become my subordinate, I can turn you into the strongest noble Vampire ever!" Lord Galliard announced without further ado.

He could tell that Dilan was not easy to impress, which meant that one had to reveal all the shocking information to him at once to overwhelm the young human and lure him into the trap!

But even then, Dilan didn't really mind the Vampire Lord's words that much. Receiving the offer to become a Vampire might be nice for some considering that a Vampire's survivability in the apocalypse was likely to be higher than that of a human but that didn't really interest Dilan.

"I don't intend to become anyone's follower. Furthermore, I doubt that you have the power to turn me into the strongest noble Vampire, despite your words or rank. If someone can do that, it's probably only the King of all Vampires.

However, I doubt that I would be interested in the offer even if the King of Vampires were to give it to me. I regard my freedom way too highly, to become someone's subordinate after all!" Dilan didn't sound a tiny bit impressed by Lord Galliard's offer. He looked straight at the Vampire Lord's and bluntly denied him without a trace of fear.

"Kiddo, you don't understand what kind of offer I am giving you… I can turn you into a noble Vampire with my Ancient Vampire Powers, and considering that you are already so strong, you would definitely become the strongest… Why would you reject my offer? That makes no sense?!" Lord Galliard seemed to be taken aback by his response and lose his cool a bit after Dilan had rejected his offer immediately the moment he had presented it.

It didn't make any sense. Why was there a problem with giving up a tiny bit of his freedom in exchange for eternal youth, unimaginable powers, the power to create your own loyal subjects, and an otherworldly powerful regeneration?

All these traits combined with Dilan's already existing power would elevate his strength immediately and it would turn him into one of the most powerful existences on the Shikan plains, if not Milarn in its entirety!

The Vampire Lord knew that his offer was amazing, but that was even worse for him because Dilan's rejection hurt his pride.

"Who the hell are you even? Where does your confidence come from?" Dilan asked lightly, while his eyes darted provokingly toward the Vampire lord.

"Who am I? I AM the Overlord of the Shikan plains, the strongest existence you will ever encounter!"

Chapter 398 Domination

"Who am I? I AM the Overlord of the Shikan plains, the strongest existence you will ever encounter!" Lord Galliard shouted out in an overbearing manner.

While shouting, he released a bloody hue that expanded rapidly. After a few seconds, the bloody hue returned to the Vampire Lord, where it shrouded his entire body, acting like a bloody armor that radiated tremendous pressure.

Many Werewolves, especially the Alpha Lord looked at the blatant display of strength by the Vampire Lord with complex expressions. They could clearly feel the disparity in strength between themselves and the Vampire Lord.

It was not even an exaggeration to say that all the Werewolves, including the combined strength of the Alphas and Alpha Lord, wouldn't be enough to defeat Lord Galliard.

That was something they could sense clearly, which made all of them feel uncomfortable and frustrated.

'Maybe if I undergo a complete beastification I will be able to overwhelm and injure him? Once he is injured, everything would become much easier…' The Alpha Lord thought for a moment, just to see that Dilan was still smiling.

The young human didn't even budge when the terrifying pressure of the Vampire Lord hit him. Lord Galliard had targeted Dilan with the pressure to make him understand what he was missing out on.

However, Dilan was just smiling and the Alpha Lord involuntarily looked at his right fist where he could see a few bruises from the impact on Dilan's chest.

"Is that everything?" Dilan asked lightly before he added. "You are quite funny and definitely reckless. How can you call yourself the Overlord of the Shikan plains if you cannot even beat the Red Dragon in Rian?"

His question sounded funny at first because Dilan didn't really put much emphasis on anything he had said a moment earlier.

But then he turned serious all of a sudden and all the pressure around him and the Werewolves dissipated in an instant.

"If you cannot even defeat the Red Dragon, how can you be confident enough to attempt luring me into your so-called 'once in a lifetime offer'? Don't you think too highly of yourself, just because you are the Vampire Lord of the Shikan plains? The times have changed!" Dilan uttered in a confident and somewhat mocking tone that caused everyone to turn their head in his direction.

Traces of mana were released from his body and it looked like Dilan's body enlarged all of a sudden. He felt like a giant at this moment, and even the Vampire Lord had to squint his eyes and focus hard to refrain from getting overwhelmed.

At this moment, something totally unexpected happened. The Alpha Lord sensed a great opportunity, the first opportunity to get rid of the Vampire Lord at once.

He dashed forward, while his body enlarged. He shifted into his wolf form and his arms turned into humongous front legs of a large black-furred wolf with big crimson eyes.

The Alpha Lord had turned into a three-meter tall monster that showed hints of continuing to grow.

However, that didn't matter because the Alpha Lord had already appeared in front of the Vampire Lord, who had been focused on Dilan.

Lord Galliard was too late to move and he could clearly see his death happening right in front of his eyes. He imagined the Alpha Lord's huge claws ripping his body apart when someone appeared in front of him.

Dilan had emerged in front of the Vampire Lord, his gaze locked with the huge eyes of the Alpha Lord's transformation as he unleashed the terrifying power he had suppressed within him.

In an instant, an overwhelming amount of mana accompanying eerily powerful bloodlust was released from his body in an explosive manner.

It shrouded the surrounding area in an instant and forced every single existence to its knees.

Dilan had no idea how powerful or potent his bloodlust truly was because he had been fighting existences that were far stronger than beings on Milarn for the last three days.

His bloodlust had been developed to cope with the pressure Tier-4 monsters released naturally. He was able to cope with that pressure and he could even radiate his own terrifying pressure in the form of bloodlust to suppress Tier-2 and Tier-3 beings easily.

And right now, Dilan faced Tier-2 existence that were on the weaker stats. The Vampire Lord was the strongest and his stats were not much higher than the average of 120 units. Even that was something Dilan felt was a bit of an exaggeration.

Thus, when he released his whole mana and entire bloodlust for a few seconds, nobody was able to move properly.

"Sit down, you fucking idiot!" Dilan's voice echoed through the surroundings and the Alpha Lord was forced to the ground, whether he wanted to or not.

There was no way that he could face Dilan's pressure and the terrifying amount of mana he released.

Dilan smiled as he saw the reluctance on the face of the Alpha Lord as he was forced to the ground. The only being he was supposed to listen to was the King of all Alphas, their one, and only master. Yet, Dilan forced all of them into submission so easily.

He walked over to Victoria and the female Hybrid subordinate, where he manifested a small dome of mana to prevent his pressure from affecting them.

Afterward, he turned around on the heels of his boots and his smile widened once again.

"You cannot even remain standing on your feet while facing my pressure. How the hell can you be arrogant enough to believe that you are the Overlord of the Shikan plains? That's quite shameless, don't you think?" Dilan asked with a burst of laughter, humiliating the Vampire Lord in front of everyone.

He didn't receive an answer from Lord Galliard but that was not something Dilan expected to receive either way.

Dilan smiled widely as he bent down to help the Vampire Lord, who was failing to get up from the ground despite his efforts. He didn't want to bend his knee in front of a human being and submit, whether it was Dilan or someone else.

The struggle of the Vampire Lord was quite an enjoyable sight but it was a bit annoying that nobody answered him when he was speaking.

Thus, he retracted his bloodlust and all the mana he had released at once. Controlling his mana precisely was not difficult, especially when he manifested the Hyel Destructo Armor-set on his body.

The armor had been hidden before but Dilan manifested it right now.

Many were astonished by the sudden appearance of the armor, especially since it enhanced the power that surged through his body drastically.

"Do you still think that you are the Overlord of the Shikan plains?" Dilan asked calmly, his gaze transfixed on the Vampire Lord.

However, even now Lord Galliard remained silent. This was quite disappointing and Dilan sighed deeply.

Fighting powerful monsters was more interesting than showing off his strength in front of some pseudo powerful existence, who was arrogant enough to believe that he was truly powerful.

"To be honest, your strength is quite disappointing. I expected a little bit more from the Vampire Lord… well whatever…" Dilan shrugged his shoulders before he approached Lord Galliard, who had gotten up from the ground.

"Once again, I reject your offer. Nobody will ever be allowed to restrict my freedom, even less if they are as weak as you are!" He said while laughing before he turned serious in a second.

"The times have changed, bitch!"

Chapter 399 Lucky? My foot!

Dilan didn't have a reason to stay in the encirclement of the werewolves, nor did he have any desire to chit-chat with the Alpha Lord and the Vampire Lord.

After he advanced to the second Tier, Dilan's strength had increased to a state, where the number of opponents that could fight head-on with him was extremely low.

The two were quite arrogant considering that their strength was much lower than his. That was also why he gave them a small lecture.

"Wouldn't you usually kill everyone?" Victoria asked all of a sudden as she looked at him with gleaming eyes. She knew that Dilan wouldn't mindlessly kill others but whenever someone attacked him, he would usually return the favor and slap some interest on the principal amount generously.

Yet, the situation had an anticlimactic end, which was rather uncommon in Victoria's opinion.

"I have killed more than enough in the last three days. I'm a bit tired of it right now. Furthermore, we can make use of the Vampires and Werewolves if something troublesome were to happen!" Dilan answered without giving his answer a great deal of thought.

Victoria was still shocked at Dilan's display of strength but she could keep calm because his strength was everything that had changed. His personality was still the same as before, and that was reassuring.

"I heard that you turned all hybrids into your underlings, your small army. What are you planning to do with them?" Dilan asked, glancing over at Victoria.

There were numerous things Victoria could do with the Hybrids but the best would probably be to turn them into an elite combat unit.

These hybrids possessed the racial traits of both werewolves and vampires. That being said, they were extremely powerful and could become good fighters as long as they were nourished properly.

"I'm not sure yet. Right now, we've helped them level up to Level 10 with the stats limit of 20 Units, and we're looking for suitable occupations for everyone. Of course, they should be of a high grade, [Extraordinary] or above if possible, but that's easier s

Chapter 400 Second Evolution

Even now, there were not too many Tier-2 Ascenders in the Undying group.

After they witnessed how powerful Victoria had become, everyone was preparing for the highest difficulty advancement mission they could choose for their occupation.

The Ascenders tried to improve their stats to their limit, learn new abilities, and gain more combat experience in the wilderness of the Shikan plains.

Dilan had been a bit disappointed when he heard the number of Tier-2 Ascenders in his group after he returned, but this disappointment dispersed quickly because he understood that everyone was trying their best to become the strongest version of themselves.

His overwhelming strength had also soon become a hot topic of discussion because almost all of them spoke about it every now and then.

The Vampire Lord stayed near the Sanctum, seemingly devastated, and his head hung low while the Alpha Lord wreaked havoc, clearly knowing that his pack had witnessed the humiliation he faced when he was defeated by the bloodlust and overwhelming mana of a human.

For a while, the Alpha Lord even thought of taking his life to make sure that the humiliation couldn't reach a new level of low. However, he changed his opinion quickly when he realized that his name would go down in history as the cowardly Alpha Lord, who took his life after one defeat.

He didn't want to end this way and knew that he would have to change if he wanted to become better and stronger, an Alpha everyone looked up to!

Dilan didn't really care about anything that happened after he had returned. He gave himself some time to rest because he had overworked himself for the last three days.

Thus, he slept for nearly 24 hours before he watched his surroundings for the following 24 hours.

It was the 59th day after the Primordial Ascension, which meant that it had almost been two months since everything had changed.

Most people dared to say that they hated the Primordial Ascension but there were also more than enough people, who felt like the Primordial Ascension was a blessing in disguise. It was as if the Primordial Ascension had come to them when they needed it most, thus they looked at it as a blessing and an opportunity to redeem themselves.

However, in the end, it was just something that happened, whether it brought someone excitement or misery. Dilan doubted that whatever or whoever had initiated the Primordial Ascension truly cared about what it did to the beings living on Milarn.

That was why he didn't look at the Primordial Ascension as something he should hate or be grateful for. It was just something that happened and there was no reason to waste time thinking about the whys and ifs….

"Are you guys ready?" Dilan asked while stifling a yawn when he stood in front of the Realm Gate that would lead them to the entrance of the Blood Monarch's Instance dungeon.

Yvonne and Victoria looked at each other for a moment before they nodded their heads.

"I'm ready too!!" A familiar voice called out from behind them all of a sudden and Yvonne began to frown deeply.

"Kathrine? You've advanced to Tier-2?" She asked, slightly astonished and Kathrine could only grin widely.

"Of course I did! All my stats have surpassed 100 Units as well, and my [Rare+] occupation advanced to an [Extraordinary] occupation as well!" Kathrine proudly announced, flicking her hair back before a wide smile emerged on her face.

Dilan gave her a thumbs up before he turned his attention back to the Realm Gate.

He was not sure what awaited them. Thus, he manifested the Hyel Destructo Armor set and unsheathed the Cursed Dagger Xealtron.

"If everyone is ready, let's go!" Dilan stated and took the first step through the Realm Gate.

Kathrine pouted a bit when she saw that Dilan didn't react much upon getting to know that she had advanced and could follow them as well. She hadn't slept for the last five days to advance to Tier-2 and improve her stats enough to be eligible to enter the Realm Gate, just for Dilan to give her a mere thumbs up that dampened her spirits.

"You know how he is. The thumbs-up is already worth a lot…I guess," Yvonne said as she rubbed her sister's back lovingly. After a moment, she pushed Kathrine lightly, causing her to stumble and enter the Realm Gate where Victoria had already disappeared.

"Let's g–…" Yvonne raised her arms trying to motivate herself when she was interrupted by a flood of golden messages that emerged right in front of her.

[Two moons have elapsed since the arrival of the Primordial Ascension. The first phase has been concluded successfully! The second phase of Milarn's True awakening has been initiated! The Hordes of Chaos and Destruction will be released, and the planet labeled as 'Milarn' will open to the Frontier Dimensions, and the Streams of Reality!]

[The Interface System will be upgraded. The Log of the Ancient won't be accessible for the next 24 hours!]

It was midnight…and exactly two months after the Primordial Ascension had been initiated, and the Second Phase had just been initiated…bringing forth the Horde of Destruction and various changes to the interface of the Log of the Ancient.

Everything would change…once again, or so it felt, at the very least.

"I have to tell Dilan and the others!" Yvonne exclaimed as her eyes widened in shock.

She bit her lips and looked back to see if there was someone else to give commands to, but realized that there was nobody.

Gritting her teeth, she jumped through the Realm Gate with the aim to report everything to Dilan and the others if they didn't already know about it.

"Just what is going on?!?" She ran her fingers through her hair in frustration before she landed on the other side of the Realm Gate, where she found her sister, Victoria, and Dilan standing on red smoking stones, looking at the ginormous building.

For a few seconds, Yvonne was baffled by what was going on in the place they had emerged, but she quickly turned around to look at the information about the Realm Gate that had changed drastically.

[To return through the Realm Gate, the permission of the Instance Dungeon, or being at Tier-3 with all stats above 200 is required!]

"Fuck this shit!" She cursed out loudly, causing everyone to turn their head in her direction.

It was rare to hear Yvonne cursing because she was one of the calmest and most composed people known in the Undying group.

"What's wrong?" Dilan asked before he saw the notification of the Realm Gate as well.

The notification was somewhat frustrating but it was not enough to make Yvonne curse out loudly.

However, Yvonne didn't say anything as she shared the notification she had received with the others because she felt that Dilan and the others might not have received or read through the notification.

"The interface will update? But I can still access my Log of the Ancient?" Kathrine mumbled in confusion after she finished reading the notification her sister had shown her.

"I guess there is a delay in the message because we left Milarn before the notification reached everyone," Dilan concluded. It was no sooner that the same notification Yvonne had shared with them appeared in front of them as well.

"The Hordes of Chaos and Destruction sound a little bit problematic, and the same goes for the Frontier Dimensions and the Streams of Reality… I have no idea what either of them actually mean…" Dilan said in all honesty but he smiled lightly as he opened the Divinity Mission Board with a single thought that acted as a command.

'So that works even without the Log of the Ancient?' He wondered and his smile widened further as he returned to his mission as the question-asking idiot in the chat of the Divinity Mission Board!
