A Pursuer 2/2

The things sneered seeing Saeko, laying on the ground, breathing heavily to catch the breath. It wanted to finish her when it stopped.

Everyone other than the thing dropped on their knees with a face filled with terror. They felt like Shinigami has gripped their throats, and they were at mercy of this Shinigami.

The thing's face becomes serious as it watches the surrounding changed completely and found himself, with everyone, standing on a battlefield filled with nothing but blood.

Bodies littered everywhere. As far as one's sight reached, there was nothing but bodies and blood.

Such a scene nauseated Takashi's group as they vomited. It was good that Shizuka blocked Alice's eyes, or who knows if she became traumatic after this.

The thing looked up and saw a ten-year-old child floating in the air with a girl of 9 in his hands. The child's crimson eyes gazed at the thing beneath. There were no emotions in those eyes as if the coldest thing to exist in the universe.

The thing felt as if those eyes could pierce its very soul, making him quite uncomfortable.

Noah did not say anything as he was having a hard time controlling his anger. He checked Tanya's body and found that most of her bones were shattered and organs ruptured.

Though he could heal her, it still made him mad. Tanya was the first friend he had made after leaving his world. He has spent almost a decade with her.

Noah considered Tanya part of his family, which made him mad when he checked her condition.

Tanya weakly opened her eyes as she felt soul-crushing pain. She wanted to scream but held in. She looked towards the thing with hatred. She really wanted to make sushi out of it.

Noah landed in front of the trembling Shizuka and placed Tanya gently on the ground. An emotionless voice left his mouth as he said, "Heal her."

He did not bother saying anything else and looked back at the thing. It did not move recklessly as he knew that Noah was a troublesome opponent.

Noah looked around the field and was surprised. Since he has killed a billion if not millions of people in his life, so when he released his bloodlust, it started to deform the reality when it mixed with his energy, creating the current scene.

He looked towards the creature in front of him and said, "Say, how do want to die?"

Though his voice was low, it still made everyone shuddered when heard it.

The thing snorted, "Heh, why don't you give it try? With your Saint level cultivation, do you think you can kill me? A King Class Warrior?!"

Noah did not register his blabbing as he slowly started to walk towards it, his energy increasing with every step as he said, "Do not worry. I will not let you die fast. First, I will tear every tendon and meridian in your body. After that, I will slowly skin you and sprinkle some salt on your body. Then I will slowly pull every bone out of your body. Don't worry as I will use magic to make sure that you neither lose your consciousness nor your ability to think." Noah said every word slowly, making everyone realized that the smiling Noah they saw was no longer present; instead, they saw a complete sadist and a psychopath in Noah that made them petrified.

The thing did not say anything and readied itself for the fight. It did not think that it would lose since it was a whole realm above Noah.

Noah opened his palm, and a long black sword appeared in his hand. It did not give any oppressive feeling. Looking fairly common and ordinary.

But the thing became alert. It knew it was anything but ordinary.

Noah took a step and vanished. He appeared in front of the thing and slashed his sword vertically downward.

The thing was about to block it with his hand but suddenly felt a bad promotion. It hurriedly used its whole energy and propelled itself backward.

Noah's sword came in contact with the ground as a gigantic blast happened. A long crevice formed that extended to the horizon. No one knew how big or long it was.

Noah does not seem to be affected slightly by the sight of his attack as if it was completely normal.

The sword he was using was the sword from his previous life <Gravity Sword>. It could change its weight to the user's liking. But the thing that Noah liked most about it was it had no limit. Mean, as long as its user was able to handle it, the sword's weight could be changed into anything. This was the reason he created this sword with his magic again.

The thing perspired hard seeing the damage that Noah's attack caused. He was sure that even Emperor Class Warrior would have a hard time causing so much damage.

Looking at the sword, it knew that it was not something to scoff off.

Noah again launched himself towards it. His speed was relatively fast as he reached the thing in no time.

This time, the thing did not want to give Noah any time to attack as it punched Noah.

The air was squeezed between its punch and Noah's. It passed through Noah as he was no longer present there.

Noah appeared behind it. It spun and swung his arm, using it as a sword. But Noah again vanished from his place.

They kept fighting, attacking, and countering each other. Others could only see them in one place, then to another.

Tanya sat with her back at the wall. Her eyes worriedly followed after Noah. She was the only one who could see what was happening.

She knew that 'it' was really strong and was worried if something happened to Noah. She wanted to help but was too injured to do so. She gritted her teeth.

Though she hated Noah, she also enjoyed his company a lot. She was conflicted and did not know what to do. Though what vexed her most was how weak she was.

Although she and Noah were of the same class, by seeing his fight, she could tell that there was a difference of Heaven and Earth between them.

She sighed and thought that she should start to train seriously instead of lazing around. No one knew whether the next word they visit would be peaceful or more chaotic than this one. Also taking the fact that Being X was after them, Tanya thought she needed to become stronger fast.

Kaboom*! A loud sound got her out of her thinking as she looked towards Noah, who came out of the affected area with a large wound on his chest.

Floating in the air, Noah looked in front of him. A giant silhouette came out of the cloud of dust.

The creature mutated into 5 meters big giant with bulging muscles. It had different scars all over his body, but it stood sturdy, looking towards the petite Noah.

Even though Noah looked like an ant, it did not think so and knew that this little boy was strong.

Noah looked at the giant and thought of finishing this fight. His grip on the sword tightens, and his aura started to rise at a tremendous pace.

Soon, his aura reached the peak of half-step King Realm. The thing becomes startled. He could tell that Noah was in Saint Class when the fight started. He was astonished seeing Noah reaching Half-Step King Realm while fighting.

Only one word came out of his mouth, "Monster…"

"What? Did you mix me up with your family or something? Since I think I am quite handsome." Noah said snickering.

The creature was mad. But Noah did not give him time to say anything as his preparations were complete.

He took Iai form; taking a deep breath, Noah said.

As the words left his mouth, the world seems to lose all its color. Everything became grey and white as the sound was deprived of it.

The thing saw everything becoming two – a weird sensation.

Even in the end, he did not realize what has happened. 'It's' body, that was bisected into two parts, fell in the river, causing huge splashes.

Noah sighed. He was very regretful that he didn't get the chance to torture it. He shook his head and went back to everyone, who was shell-shocked by the development.

"You could have killed him at the start, no?" Tanya asked as she observed the whole world returning back, but the damage done by their fighting was still there.

The whole place looked like a fucking battlefield.

Noah shrugged, "I was mad to think straight."

He lied since he could not use that technique before as the minimum requirement was Half-Step King Realm.

Tanya silently looked towards him and sighed. She did not have the energy to argue with him.

"How is Saeko?" Noah asked Shizuka, who was tending to unconscious Saeko.

Shizuka smiled weakly and said, "I have healed her. She should wake up soon."

Noah nodded. He would have healed her himself if he did not use most of his energy. He also felt quite tired and wanted to take a long nap.
