Chapter 200

Once I'd eaten, Dorius insisted I was left to rest, ignoring my protests that I'd been resting for four days. Gus was all too happy to help, though he didn't think that counted him. When Dorius pinched her lips at him, still holding the door open after everyone else had left, he said "I'm her fiancé! I got to take care of her!"

"Don't you have duties?"

"I've done nothing but duties for the past four days."

"There's a dragon on top of the castle."

"The boys are watching her. Really, Dorius, let me do this."

She sniffed, considered for just a moment longer, then sighed.

"I'll be back in twenty minutes with some medicine. No funny business."

Once the door closed, he turned on me with a broad smile that showed all his teeth.

"Hear that? No funny business."

I slapped his arm, because really.

"Now that I've eaten I really do feel fine." I opened and closed my hand experimentally just to see that my strength had returned. "And I know where to find medicine for the wind wizard."
