For the greater Good

The Green Goblin, after taking off his mask, began pleading for mercy with convincing acting. Spider-Man, captivated by the performance, seemed swayed by his words.

Staring at the Green Goblin, Spider-Man said, "You want to kill Aunt May and Mary Jane!"

"But I didn't want to kill you!"

Norman Osborn, with a thick face and dark heart, blamed another villainous persona for his recent actions after beating up Spider-Man. Despite his earlier plans to kill Spider-Man, he now shifted the blame to his other evil side.

"I wanted to stop him, but I couldn't... I would never harm you. I knew from the beginning that if something happened to me, you would come to my aid. Peter Parker, you did it."

The cunning Green Goblin continued manipulating Spider-Man while quietly activating his glider, planning a surprise attack from behind.

Though the audience saw everything clearly, Spider-Man in the video seemed unaware of the danger. Meanwhile, Norman Osborn continued persuading, "Come, give me your hand. Trust me, just like I trust you. I'm like your father; be my son."

Spider-Man's expression changed as he recalled past interactions with Norman Osborn. While the villain did appreciate taking care of him, Spider-Man firmly said, "I have only one father, and that's Ben Parker!"

Seeing this, Uncle Ben outside the screen couldn't help but smile, tears in his eyes, patting Aunt May's hand. "Peter, he has grown up. He's a good kid, everyone sees it. He's become a hero, a true hero!"

Aunt May was also moved, holding Ben's hand, smiling, "Yes, everyone sees it. They also know he has an excellent uncle. 'With great power comes great responsibility,' and this kid lives by that."

Uncle Ben looked worried, "Norman Osborn... the Green Goblin, this cunning monster is too deceptive. Peter is being deceived!"

In the video, the Green Goblin finally revealed his true colors. His sincere and kind smile disappeared, replaced by a cold declaration, "Farewell, Spider-Man!"

The glider instantly activated, revealing sharp blades, flying rapidly toward Spider-Man from behind.

Uncle Ben and Aunt May exclaimed in fear, and the viewers outside also covered their mouths, expecting a gruesome scene.

In this critical moment, Spider-Sense came into play. In the video, Spider-Man, as if having eyes on the back of his head, sensed the imminent danger and performed a backflip, narrowly avoiding the 'weapon.'

This completely caught Norman off guard. Norman widened his eyes, managing only an "Oh," before being impaled by the glider, pinned against the wall.

He struggled in agony, spitting blood, looking at Spider-Man. "Peter, don't tell Harry..." he uttered before taking his last breath, eyes wide open in an unflinching death.

"Well, he died well! This cunning monster got what he deserved. He dug his own grave!"

"Exactly, he brought it upon himself! If he genuinely wanted to repent, Spider-Man wouldn't have killed him. Instead, he tried to deceive Spider-Man and played dirty. Good riddance!"

"Such a complete fool. Had the chance to kill Spider-Man, but blabbered a bunch of nonsense. This is a mess, too dumb. If I had these powers and equipment, I would've definitely taken down Spider-Man!"

The death of the Green Goblin received widespread applause from the audience, whether regular viewers or the criminals and scoundrels. However, as Norman Osborn's son, Harry Osborn, was excluded, the video portrayed the Green Goblin as a villain who had done many evil deeds, yet hadn't completely extinguished his humanity, especially regarding his deep affection for his son.

"Dad..."

Harry Osborn, with red eyes, noticed the crowd downstairs cheering. He clenched his fists, gritting his teeth. "Why did it have to be like this? Peter, you killed my father!"

In the eternal space, Commissioner Gordon, Bruce Wayne, and Arthur praised Peter, but Peter forced a smile, "Honestly, if possible, I really don't want this future video to be exposed. Harry must be devastated now."

Before the video was released, Peter held a glimmer of hope that, in the normal timeline, he would capture the Green Goblin alive rather than dead. Unfortunately, reality shattered his expectations. While the death of the Green Goblin in the regular timeline might not be identical to this one, it was strikingly similar.

Commissioner Gordon advised, "Kid, you don't need to feel guilty. Criminals like the Green Goblin deserve punishment. Moreover, he didn't die at your hands; he killed himself!"

Bruce Wayne added in a deep tone, "Some of what they said is right. Upholding justice sometimes requires paying a corresponding price. Peter, you've done your best; don't overthink it."

Arthur shrugged, "The Green Goblin asked for it, Peter. You have to be more open-minded."

Peter Parker appreciated their consolation, nodding, "Thank you, thank you all. I've actually come to terms with it. I'm just worried about my good friend; I'm afraid he... he'll think I killed his father. If one day he comes seeking revenge, it'll be a disaster."

This concern of his left everyone speechless. From the future video and Peter Parker's narration, it was evident that he had a strong bond with his friend Harry.

From a justice perspective, friendships and brotherhood could be sacrificed for the greater good, a concept known as sacrificing personal feelings for the greater good.

In case Harry Osborn does come one-day seeking revenge, as Peter Parker fears, it's likely he'd follow his father's path. At that time, there might not be much to say. If it's for the sake of justice, Peter will have to face the consequences.
