Everyone loves Gwen

Peter is still a child himself, but when faced with a little boy trapped in a car, he shows immense patience. His comforting and rescuing the boy highlight a difference between him and the other two Spider-Men.

The Avengers' Spider-Man, while also confident and talkative, comes across as immature and naïve. Tobey's version of Spider-Man appears more reserved, rich in inner emotions, often unexpressed, except through his eyes, which often speak louder than words.

The audience applauds the Spider-Man on the screen, recognizing his ability to avert the disaster without doubt. But it's the details of how Spider-Man saves the boy that are particularly moving, revealing the rebellious young man's underlying kindness and vulnerability.

During the rescue, however, an accident occurs; the car catches fire due to a fuel leak, the flames spread quickly across the body of the car, and the web holding the car snaps. Spider-Man leaps out, shoots a new web, grabs it with one hand, and holds onto the falling car with the other. He is stretched to his limits, urging the boy to climb out of the burning car on his own.

The boy, terrified, curls up in the seat, too scared to move. Peter continuously encourages him, despite his own struggle with the weight of the car and the intense flames threatening to engulf them both. Eventually, Peter has the boy wear his mask, telling him it would give him the courage and strength he needs. Confused but trusting, the boy manages to climb out just as Peter loses his grip on the car, which plummets towards the sea.

As the boy and the burning car are about to be lost to the sea, Peter quickly shoots a web that attaches to the boy's chest, pulling him to safety with great effort.

His heroic act wins praise from viewers both on and off the screen. Peter is pleased, especially since his soon-to-be father-in-law had recently criticized Spider-Man, making Peter question the value of his actions. But now, he finds his answer, just as his uncle had always taught him—when you have the ability to do good, you should see it as both a principle and a responsibility.

In this alternate universe, his uncle doesn't say the famous line, "With great power comes great responsibility," but he is a man of justice and bravery, and his guidance has helped shape Peter into the hero he is.

However, not everyone is grateful to Spider-Man. The New York Police Department has long been discontented with this mysterious vigilante, and their dissatisfaction escalates after last night's bridge accident.

At a press conference, the Police Chief, who is also the father of the girl Peter likes and effectively his future father-in-law, announces that the police are still investigating the cause of the accident and have identified a suspect whom they plan to pursue: Spider-Man.

Peter sees this news while eating breakfast, losing his appetite immediately. Despite having saved many, he has become a fugitive, a fact that unsettles anyone.

Gwen's father may have his grievances against Spider-Man, but Gwen herself does not share these sentiments. Upon learning that Peter has only revealed his Spider-Man identity to her, the smart and beautiful girl is even happier. She praises Spider-Man's heroic deeds but also reminds him to stay under the radar, concerned about her father and the police's pursuit as well as Peter's dealings with dangerous individuals.

Encouraged by his girlfriend's concern, Peter feels emotionally supported. Their discussion soon turns into an embrace, their sweet and tender love story captivating the audience far more than the superhero's battles against villains. Compared to the superheroes' mighty feats, their love story and personal dramas garner even more attention from the general viewers.

"Ha ha, I like Gwen, she's smart and gentle. Really, I think she's the perfect girlfriend for Spider-Man. I remember the last Spider-Man also had interactions with Gwen, but he was more enamored with Mary Jane, whose choices I don't really agree with."

"I feel the same. Gwen is just the girl you can't help but adore. Mary Jane... well, she's a brave girl too, but just too mature for my taste," someone comments, opening up more discussion among the viewers.

"I don't think she's quite right for Peter Parker."

With a popcorn-eating mentality, people gossip about Spider-Man's personal life. In comparisons between the girlfriends of the two Spider-Men, Gwen is clearly more popular, not only because she is prettier, but most importantly, Gwen's gentle nature has won her many fans.

Off-screen, both Spider-Men were also blushing. The Tobey version of Spiderman was being teased by Tony and others, while the Peter Parker of the Eternal Space was embarrassed under Wanda's seemingly amused gaze, scratching his head, "Really? I mean, are these videos really being broadcast live? Can Gwen see them too?"

"Of course, I guarantee it. You'll know when you get back," Wanda shrugged her shoulders. "Take good care of her; you've found a good girl."

Peter Parker smiled and said, "I'm envious of you too, Miss Wanda. If the love between you and Vision were made into a movie, I dare say it would move countless people... um, if these videos really are all being broadcast live, then surely many people have already been moved to tears!"

However, Wanda's smile faded upon hearing this, clearly displeased. She pursed her lips, "Let's not talk about that, just watch the video."

Peter blinked, puzzled, not knowing what he had said wrong. He had no idea that the Wanda of that moment didn't recognize Vision and naturally felt nothing for that supposed love. He didn't think much of it and turned his attention back to the video on the screen.

Love was just a minor episode. Peter kept the night's encounter with the Lizard Man in mind, planning to investigate further. He went to Dr. Connors' lab, only to find that Dr. Connors' demeanor had grown much colder than before, not as familiar, and his mental state seemed poor, apparently having had a restless night.
